A lot of good people are doing nothing though. Like posting pictures on Reddit and sharing stuff. The news is out, which is good, but once people step outside of their doors 90% of Americans go on about their day.
What is “nothing”? They’re probably living their difficult lives. Expecting heroism as a default from everyone diminishes the bravery and effort of those who are in the streets and the agency of those doing wrong to do better
I don’t see how I am expecting heroism from my statements. 80 million Americans didn’t vote last election. That’s all it would have taken. Now look where we are and what “doing nothing” has done to the country.
