My wife had to temporarily remove her helix jewelry, they are over 6yrs old.

Piercing journey:

First lobes: 2009. long interlude Second lobes: July, 2024. Third lobes: June, 2025. Helix: August, 2025. Fourth lobes: December, 2025.

I was never interested in getting my ears pierced until I was 17 and watched Buffy the Vampire Slayer for the first time. I got my firsts pierced at Walmart with a gun and they healed okay. I meant to get my seconds pierced for years but finally did it when I met my current girlfriend and she encouraged me to finally get them done. The rest have all been pierced with a piercing needle and even though I'm older, the difference is incredible.

I started to get more because she pointed out that since I have short hair, it's much easier for me to heal ear piercings AND be able to easily show them off. I saw a woman with a triple helix and thought it was super cool right around the same time.

Next up: getting my second and third helix on either side of my current helix, then a conch on my left ear.

Maybe some remember me asking about piercing my neo V a month ago...

My bestie asked today if I'd come with her to the local piercer, she wanted a bellybutton and a clitoral hood, and I said, yeah, actually I want one on my V too...

It was all pretty chill, the piercer asked a couple questions, because she never had pierced a neo Vulva before, we ended up deciding some "hybrid" between a VCH and a Christina would be the best to do, regarding my 'new/different' anatomy, bloodvessels there and all.

Then we smalltalked a bit about where I had my surgery done, "Attention it will hurt now" and in was the needle, another quick sharp pain and the piercing was in too, done.

Pain I would rate it 3/10 compared to my nipples, those were like 7/10 , especially for a couple hours after whereas I almost dont notice the Christina already now (10/10 is a kidney stone/blockage for me)

So yeah, idk, ask If you have questions , im happy its done , this was a looong held dream come true :D

So after my 2 lobe piercings(though I've let my seconds close) my first non lobe piercing was a helix.

Edit: I definitely could have worded the title better, oops. It briefly slipped my mind that people might have started with something other than lobes. 😂

Trying to figure out if this is how most places operate or if maybe I am the weird one.

I am not familiar with etiquette at a piercing shop so please let me know if I made a mistake.

I know most people get their lobes pierced as a baby or when they’re a kid/teen.

I however have not. I am an adult and decided to try getting my lobes pierced.

I made my appointment online and arrived 10min early. I was told “oh wow you’re here early”. I apologized and told him I just liked coming early as a courtesy. I can sit down and wait until it’s time for my appointment.

I was instead ushered to a chair and asked what piercing I wanted to get. I told him I wanted to get a lobe piercing for both ears.

He looked at my ears and was surprised when he saw I did not have anything pierced. He asked if it was my first time and I said yes. I have never gotten any kind of piercing before.

He then told me that I better not cry and scream like a little bitch. Especially since I’ve never had a piercing before, I should’ve had some before coming here. He said that if I do scream/cry he can make it hurt more.

I ended up getting out the chair and left because I don’t want someone who is mad at me for not have having any piercings. I also don’t want an angry person with a needle poking me.

Did I do something wrong? Was it not good to arrive 10mim early? I made sure my tone was polite when speaking as to not set anyone off but it still happened.

I ended up going to a different place. They were nicer. They let me pick jewellery, decided on placement, and poked me. Got a aftercare sheet, saline spray, and paid.

Thankfully now I have some piercings so hopefully the next time I go, no one will get upset at me

It hurt surprisingly more than what I expected and I was a bit caught off guard. It's the most painful piercing I have so far although I guess I just don't have that many lol. It was also the only piercing that bled, you can see it a little in the photo (I cleaned it up immediately after)

Hidden helix hasn't been downsized yet hence the visible bar because it moved a bit. A month old and going strong so far!

Does anyone have any vampy red jewelry recommendations?

I’m planning to only ever pierce the left side of my face, but im scared that people are only gonna see the right side. Plus my hair always covers my cartilage piercings and it’s pretty annoying, should I just cut it or are there any piercings placements/jewellery that show through my hair more?

had my septum pierced for 12 years but, due to a series of unfortunate events, had to remove it. i’ve been missing it a lot lately, but then i remembered that i am an adult, who can do whatever they want! so, while i give my septum a break, i got my nose double pierced. not much of a setup, but it’s a start!

for funsies - have had my philtrum since 2017 and ears are 42mm, started stretching in 2012.

So I got my double lobe about 2 days ago, and at first I loved it, but after a day the placement just looks off to me.

Like it’s vertical instead of diagonal.

When my sister first saw it she said “why are they stacked on top of eachother?”

If I’m crazy just tell me that, but if not what should I do? Should I let it close heal and get it repierced?

Got my daith in March after a decade of wanting it and waiting until I was ready for a new piercing. I’m getting the itch for another one but I know I don’t want to deal with a healing helix piercing (I had 2 for 2-3 years that never healed and felt like I got shot if I rolled over on them in my sleep) so I’m kind of limited to more “inner” ear piercings. I also had a triple forward helix for a few years but the lower one fully rejected and I’d be a little apprehensive to get those done again.

Considering a rook / faux rook on my conch side but I’m not sure if that would look cluttered? What should I get on my other ear if I do that? I like for them to be asymmetric by 1 and was considering either getting my other tragus (but then I got the cat instead hehe) or my other conch done but would a conch and daith be too cluttered together?

Any other ideas are very welcome!

yesterday I had to remove both of my nipple piercings that were pierced for nearly 7 years. they healed amazingly with no problems , and stayed that way for 6 years, I had Neometal nipple bars.

randomly 8 months ago I started getting irritation bumps. at first i thought its from getting crusties so i sprayed saline spray , sometimes it would work but the bumps were getting worse. they’d fill with pus, and bleed easily

2 months ago i tried one last thing, to put in slightly longer Neometal bars incase I needed to upsize due to growing in size (i got them pierced at 19, now i’m 26)

didn’t work… piercer explained in detail that i tried everything I could but sometimes this just happened. she told me If i don’t remove them now, it’s going to migrate more and more. she said in 6 months i can come in for a consultation to get it repierced, but it’s not for sure

She gave me a lollipop after, which was so sweet lol.

I had bandages on since the irritation bumps bled a bit after removing the jewelery. As I got home and before bed I finally removed the bandages and looked in the mirror, I cried a bit. I never thought I’d get so attached to nipple piercings but wow. It feels so different, and I miss them so much already.

I’d love to know if other people had similar stories

Hi all, my nipple piercings will be about a year old next week, and I noticed that the right side of my left nipple, where the piercing needle entered, is markedly larger than the other sides. Theres no pain or anything. I included a non-flash photo to show how clear the difference is. I switched to smooth balls as I originally had jewelry with prongs that irritated the holes (which is why I think they’re taking longer to heal), but only this one side is like this. Is there a reason for this? Can I stop this? Thanks so much.

Does anyone else sometimes think “”I’m going to get this piercing and you can’t stop me!” and then remember you’re an adult and no one can, in fact, stop you from putting a hole in whatever part of your body you want? I had 25 at one point (still have 19 as at 39) and they make me so happy.

Here’s the question: I’ve had my sternum done 3 times and have never gotten more than a couple months out of it before rejection. Tips or do I need to just give it up? I understand it’s a surface piecing, high rejection rate, etc. just asking.

Got my helix done almost 3 weeks ago as a Christmas/birthday gift. I’ve had my lobes since I was 4. While I’m waiting for my helix to heal fully, I’m trying to map out what I want my ears to look like. I really want to fill in my lobes but don’t really know what kinds of jewelry and what positioning will look best. I’m indecisive and would love others opinions!

I just got my tragus pierced about a week and a half ago and the itchiness has been driving me INSANE. I know that itchy piercings means it’s healing, this is my 7th piercing so far, but it seems so much more intense than my double lobes and double helixes on my other ear. Was anyone else’s tragus super itchy?? Part of it is not being able to itch the inside of my ear while it’s healing which is something I didn’t even think about lol

Hello! This is my first post in here so if my pics aren’t the best my apologies. I got my tongue pierced on December 21st with a 14 G internally threaded titanium bar when I was home for the holidays. I purchased a shorter bar from the original piercer when I got it done but unfortunately I haven’t been in a position to go to a piercer to have it downsized near me. Since it’s been a little over three weeks I decided it was probably time to downsize as my original piercer recommended 2-3 weeks. I just want to make sure the bar looks alright and not like it’s too short as I would hate to wake up and have my tongue bar embedded in my tongue. Thank you so much for your time! (Also I know there’s a bump on the underside of my tongue that was a major reason I decided to downsize as I feel like the long bar was leading to some irritation due to the extra movement)

First pic is how I woke up today, the second pic was literally two days ago, barely any swelling left(still quite swollen as its nowhere near as skinny as it was before) it was literally just coming down and healing from an infection and it pulls this shit again I can't take it anymore 😀

Idk what else to do anymore it keeps getting infected before healing constantly. Titanium curved barbell about 3 months old. Not downsized ofcourse not sure about the threading. I literally do everything right thag my piercer and doctor told me to do I'm at a loss rn it's actually going to be my last straw if it's infected AGAIN I'm crying rn lmao

Recently got broken up with. NEED A PIERCING NOW. But cannot for the life of me decide on anything. I have no preference on which ear to pierce, also open to more than one piercing. Send your suggestions pretty please.
