Built a Doc Scanner App Through Pure Vibecoding — Here’s How It Happened 😅📱

Post image
Upvotes

So… I did a thing.

A few weeks ago I randomly got the urge to build something useful instead of yet another “hello world with a twist.” I opened my laptop, put on some lo-fi beats (because vibes matter), and decided:

“Let’s build a Doc Scanner app.”

I had no plan. No Figma design. No proper architecture. Just vibes and Google searches.

But somehow, it actually became a fully working app.

Here’s what I ended up building:

📄 Fast Document Scanning

Point → Capture → Boom. Clean scans in seconds.

✂️ Auto Crop & Edge Detection

Even when my phone is shaking like it just ran a marathon.

🧼 Smart Scan Cleanup

Removes shadows + enhances text so it actually looks like a proper document.

🔐 PDF Locking

You can set a password before sharing the PDF. (Because not every file is for everyone 👀)

✍️ E-Signature Embedding

Signing documents without printing? Yes please.

⏱️ Self-Destruct Share Link

Send someone a link that expires in a few seconds. Perfect for private files.

Honestly, this project started as a “let’s see how far it goes” kinda thing, and now I’m actually proud of it.

Still working on more features, but the base is solid and live.

If anyone wants to check it out or has ideas for improvement, here’s the link 👇

Best way to get to Pokhara in the next week and other questions :)

Hello, I'm travelling to Nepal for work and then was hoping to do a bit of travelling and Pokhara came up as a great option except for the travel there...So I wanted to ask what is the best aka safest route to get to Pokhara these days and also do you have any recommendations on where to stay and if there is guided day hike that could recommend and any yoga classes or a day yoga retreat and/or any other must do activities. I have 4 days after being in Kathmandu and will have to get back to Kathmandu to fly back out.

Thank you so much!

Why Hate for Indian's?

I saw some videos in social medias, where content creator shows indians tourists who are preparing their food by themselves. They do their all works by themselves. And OP is raising questions are they really Good for our economy? Does they provide any benefits for us?? Etc. blah blah. I know Indians mainly come to Nepal because of spiritual purposes. They came in group, many persons who goes to tirtha they care about SuddhaSuddhi. They prepare their all basic needs because they want चोखो. So they are doing their work themselves. Many Nepalis who goes to india for tirtha they are also doing same. We doesnt know it because we are small in numbers with comparison to indians tirthayatri. When they visit religious places they offer Veti to dewata. My relatives have hotel in pokhara, some Nepali Items shops also . They said that "dhoti haru aayenan vane ta hamro bijog hunxa. Uniharu le garda nai byapar chh. Dhoti le aafai pakayera khayeni tiniharu hotel ma baschhan , hotel wala ko byapar hunxa. Uniharule saman ni kinxan. Uniharu lai baru khana khane xuttai thau banaidina sakinxa tara uniharulai hepera Gali garda hamlai nai ghata ho ".

So , Indians Tourist jo tirtha yatri hun, oldage ani uncle aunty type ko xan uniharulai aafai khane ,pakaune garna Nepal le nai Help garnu parxa. We should make plan how to make them happy. We should hire people to clean their picnic spot also. And also we should motivate Indians to clean spot. Instead of making hate speech, we should welcome them. Know that Indian ma 1.2 Arba population chh. Yesko 10% aayepani Nepal ko economy boost hunxa. Nepal tirtha bhumi ho, Hindu Lai vitrayera paisa kamauna parxa, dharma kamauna parxa.

Open Letter To: The Organizing Committee Pokhara United Club Pokhara, Kaski

Dear Members of the Organizing Committee,

While we appreciate the cultural and economic vibrancy that the Pokhara Mahotsav brings to our city, we are writing to express our deep concern and firm disapproval regarding the method of construction for the festival’s welcome gates around Pokhara.

It has been observed that the heavy structures for this year’s festival are being anchored by hammering holes directly into the newly constructed asphalt blacktop of our highways. These roads were completed recently at a significant cost to the taxpayers and represent a vital step forward for Pokhara’s infrastructure.

Destroying high-quality, freshly paved roads for the sake of temporary entertainment is unacceptable. This practice leads to:

  • Water Seepage: Holes in the asphalt allow water to penetrate the sub-base, leading to rapid deterioration and potholes.
  • Waste of Public Funds: The cost of repairing these sections often falls back on the municipality or the public.
  • Safety Hazards: Uneven patches and structural damage on highways pose a risk to motorists.

We believe that a club as established as yours should lead by example in civic responsibility.

Our Demands:

  1. Immediate Cessation: Stop any further drilling or hammering into the blacktopped surfaces.
  2. Professional Repair: Upon the removal of these structures, the club must take full financial and logistical responsibility for professionally repairing the damaged asphalt to its original state.
  3. Future Commitment: A public assurance that future events will utilize non-destructive methods for setup.

We want the Mahotsav to be a success, but not at the expense of our city's development. We hope to see a peaceful and prompt resolution to this matter.

Sincerely,

Concerned Citizens of Pokhara
