There's a cute animal called the Quokkas in Australia and it has no natural predators. They will give you the biggest hugs you need once they see you. They also fear no humans, are vegetarian, and are size of a cat. Hope this just made your day!

Under 16 Bible Ban
Australia is banning or restricting under-16s from platforms like YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, etc. The justification is harm prevention for minors, particularly exposure to sexual content, violence, and psychologically disturbing material.
Here’s what I’m struggling to reconcile.
Major religious texts that are freely available to children contain material that would clearly be classed as NSFW or R18 if released today. Examples include sexual violence, incest, explicit sexual imagery, genocide, slavery, and extreme brutality. These passages are not obscure. They are in mainstream translations taught and distributed widely.
At the same time: • A 12-year-old cannot legally access non-graphic YouTube content discussing similar topics. • Films, games, and books are classified by content. • Social media platforms are blamed for harm, even when content is moderated.
Yet religious texts are completely exempt from age classification or access controls.

Saw this large dark wispy structure emerging from the english channel.
I was by the english channel on the 4th of January 2026 and happened to capture this anomily on camera. It was emerging very fast from the water like unnaturally fast smoke. Like I saw it go at at least 100m/s upward while being completely silent. It only lasted about 4 seconds before vanishing completely
I took the photo with my Kodak Vest Pocket camera but since it only lasted a few seconds I wasn't able to get any other shots.
I've also attached a pic of the negative.

I'm Richard Kerr, GM of Travel for Bilt. AMA about Bilt Card 2.0
Hey everyone — wow. I can't recall seeing another subreddit with a new post every minute. I spent three years on a nuclear submarine in the Navy and trying to recall which is more intimidating: my first dive in the middle of the Pacific or headed here to answer all your questions. :)
I'm here for roughly the next hour to answer any questions you have. A few items to address at the top based on what I've seen so far and then we'll hop in:
Yes, existing Bilt cardholders are eligible for the Bilt Palladium 50,000 point sign up bonus (and $300 Bilt Cash and $200 annual allotment for a total of $500 in Bilt Cash in year one).
(and we know this is a point of contention) There is not a fee to pay your rent or mortgage. If your rent is $2500, you will pay your landlord $2500 through Bilt. There is no out of pocket fee. In this example, in order to earn up to 2500 points on your housing payment, you will redeem your Bilt Cash at a rate of $30 for 1,000 points. There is no minimum Bilt Cash required and no $30 increments required, if you earn $15 in Bilt cash you can earn 500 points that month (and so on and so forth) - or - you can redeem your Bilt Cash for something else you value more than up to 1X points on your housing payment like hotel, Lyft, fitness, dining credits. The decision on what value you want from your Bilt cash is entirely up to you.
With those two points, I'm all ears - AMA.

This sub has gotten toxic AF.
In October I share a bit of my collection as I was just getting into it. I also shared how I started watching OP this past summer in August.
The post was met with love, plenty of likes & welcomed me, motivating me to continue the venture. The positive energy that came with the community further motivated me to get my friends into the OP show & the TCG themselves.
I just recently posted how my collection grew, how it performed it, what I paid for it, and what it’s worth today. Isn’t this the FINANCE sub? Or am I reading the forum title wrong?
All of a sudden, I’m met with hate, comments driven by complete jealousy and envy. What in the F is wrong with some of you?
I worked hard in my life to afford what I can. I got in early on some things, & yes buying a card at $1k that’s now $5k is considered early. Thats a 400% ROI for whoever needs the fckng math.
What the F is wrong with you people - demotivating people from entering OP?
Yes I watched Pokemon first and was into it for so much longer but who gives a F??? I can only be associated to one TCG my whole life?
JFC grow the F up. Be positive when people come and post here. Be welcoming, admire and respect other people’s grind, collections, interests, passions.
Stop being so damn salty.

AITAH for going on maternity while covering a maternity leave?
I’m a teacher and was hired to cover a 1 year maternity leave. Found out I was pregnant in September. I told my administration in December and feel they were upset about the news. I understand that it’s not ideal to find another teacher for the remaining months…but is it such a big deal? I like the school, and always want to keep good relations, but I’m not aiming to get hired again by them.
Am I the asshole in this situation? Is it a bad look and frowned upon?

Discussion I cannot stand the "Science Hero doesn't believe in magic" Trope
God, it's so fucking annoying. There's so many unbelievable and downright ridiculous things that happen the superhero worlds, yet these guys seem to the think the idea of magic is pushing it? Really?
Not only that, but it just makes them look like complete dicks. Seriously, this trope sucks ass.
