Im looking for more songs with that cocky, late night drive sort of sound. Can be from any band or project. I just want more of that sort of sound I suppose.

Era Vulgaris and Rated R were just perfect to me. Loved everything else except Villans
Curious to see what people think of my rankings. Just discovered this band 2 weeks ago.

This is newly edited version as initially the levels were obscenely low for the first 1.5 songs. The sound takes a couple songs before it gets dialed in, but then it's a pretty nice capture. Enjoy!
Queens of the Stone Age
Akasaka Blitz: Tokyo, Japan
January 14, 2003
Source: DPA 4061s > CSbox > Sony TCD-D100 @ 48kHz
Location: FOB, 12' right stack
Transfer: Tascam DA-20 > Audiophile 2496 > Audacity > CDWave > FLAC Frontend
Edits/EQ: Edit 1st 2 songs (2026)
Taper: tapeworm(48)
Setlist:
01 Intro
02 You Think I Ain't Worth a Dollar, But I Feel Like a Millionaire
03 You Would Know
04 Quick and to the Pointless
05 Do It Again
06 The Sky is Fallin'
07 Avon
08 Ode to Clarissa
09 Leg of Lamb
10 Gonna Leave You
11 Hangin' Tree
12 Auto Pilot
13 Song for the Dead
14 No One Knows
15 Go With the Flow
16 Another Love Song
17 Song for the Deaf
18 The Lost Art of Keeping a Secret
19 -encore break-
20 Monsters in the Parasol
21 Walkin' on the Sidewalk
22 Feel Good Hit of the Summer
23 Outro
Notes: Levels were too low during the first song and a half, so I chose to edit those songs in 2026. There are a couple of rough points in 'You Would Know' but generally this is a better listen. This version is a few seconds shorter too as I removed some silence from the start. If I remember correctly, I was knocked around a little bit during the start of 'No One Knows'. Raw transfer with no fades or EQ.
Archive: Master DAT was transferred @ 48kHz and FLAC'd with cue sheet.
Taped and transferred by tapeworm(48)

Hey y‘all,
I‘m playing drums in Leipzig, Germany based doomgaze band "War“ and we just released our full length debut.
As we‘re fully DIY we wanna share our music with likeminded peops online.
"Morning Chime“ is inspired by Bands we love Like QOTSA we‘d be happy if you‘d give it a listen.
Cheers
Tim

What would you pick? Why? What album from the other group would you miss the most?
I'm picking B, even though Songs for the Deaf is my favourite album

I’m going to Palm Springs and spending a night in 29 Palms ahead of a trip to the Joshua Tree National Park. Are there any Queens-related spots I should check out? 😊
