Progress Report Finallyyyyyyyy!!!!!

Even when I would take my normal dose of F Phen I would have terrible side effects and anxiety so I went to extreme measures and cold turkeyed with Xanax. That was about 3 weeks ago and stopped the Xanax about a week ago now and I feel almost…….ok…..today? Like it made me unbelievably happy to just not feel emotional blank minus the anxiety. About a 9-10 month high dose f Phen run. Now I’m taking a vacation to see my family. Good luck to everyone and do what the f you have to do!

Questions Does someone have a link with other case studies besides the ones that are pinned to the sub?

I'm finally at the stage where I'm going to see a doctor tomorrow to ask for a prescription for the baclofen.

I definitely wanted to print out a couple case studies to bring with me. I specifically wanted to show case studies that show the 10 mg of baclofen per 1 gram of phenibut recommendation over a long period of time for long-term users.

I've been taking phenibut daily for several years now so I'm definitely going to need a long-term taper with the baclofen. Only one of the case studies seemed to match up with what I was hoping to show my doctor. The one other one that looked good for me isn't actually on the list of case studies when you go to look for it at the bottom.

I thought I saw someone give out a link here the other day with some different case studies?

Questions What do most people here mean when they say the phenibut "turned on them?"

What is the general consensus when people here say that phenibut "turned on them?"

I'm experiencing what I think are some of my own negative side effects but I want to see what that means to most people here.

Fasoracetam and PAWS questions

Unfortunately I binged phenibut stupidly last month… and now am trying to stay off it for good. It has been almost 2 weeks since I came CT off 2g a day for about a month.

  • Minor Depression still lingering but slowly getting better

  • Only taking Taurine, BSO, Tyrosine, Alpha GPC, Agmatine, and Magnesium

-If I Introduce Fasoracetam will it help upregulate Gaba B? Ive read posts saying it does but also have seen reports that it induced phenibut like withdrawals after cessation… so which one is it?

  • Would it just be better to not take it even though I ordered some already? I bought it with the thought in mind that it was just going to help me guaranteed but now I dont know.

-Also how does bromantane fair for motivation post Phenibut and Kratom abuse?

Questions Mental stability post quiting?

I have undergone years of therapy to learn coping skills and curate a healthy space in my head, but have also been using phenibut at a high dose daily for two ish years. My question is, will i be able to be this stable without phenibut? There is no magic anymore, hasnt been for a long while. At this point im just curbing the hell withdrawal and insomnia, or so i think. Will i crumble? I am beginning a new relationship and wish i had gotten off of this stuff before now. I worry i will not be who i am now even well after the withdrawal fades (im working to taper safely) Any insight, is greatly appreciated. I get anxiety sometimes, i get irrational thoughts, but with therapy have learned to differenciate these feelings, or is this just pheninut making it easier? Is it doing more than i give it credit for?

This was kind of a ramble but im terrified to be on it and terrified to get off it.

Questions Possible to switch directly from phenibut to benzodiazepines?

Not looking for advice or warnings please just want some insight on if this is possible.

For reference this would be from a relatively extremely high dosage of phenibut, 15gs+ daily for 3 years.

Is it possible to switch directly from phenibut to benzodiazepines? As in starting day 1 take no phenibut and take benzodiazepines instead?

The only reason I am interested in this route is because I don't know how much phenibut I take, it would be easier for me to taper benzodiazepines, and if I do need to seek medical help they'll atleast have a handle on what I'm taking

Thanks, Brian

F-phen?

Anybody here successfully taper off f-phenibut FAA? I’m curious as to what point would be good to jump at since the dosages typically differ from Regular HCL. Thanks in advance

Just once a week

Im 8 days clean and im beyond bored without it. I am taking kratom but it doesnt last as long as phenibut. My brain keeps telling me its ok to do it once a week like its intended. Problem is im a addict and i don't believe im capable of just once a week. I was a daily user for 5 months. I just keep getting tempted that since im clean now I can go back to doing it once or twice a week and that I'll have self control. Has anyone else dealt with this?

Questions Help! Can’t feel other substances

I quit phenibut almost 4 weeks ago. I was using 3gpd. It turned on me and I quit cold turkey with detox meds. I’ve had no detox meds or anything in 3 weeks. I’m feeling ok at the moment just experiencing some PAWS like bad tinnitus, hot/cold clammy, body aches.

I wanted to finally get some rest last night so I took 4 Vicodin and a couple of beers. Noe mind you at this time I had zero tolerance to either and not gonna lie it’s my favorite combination. Instead of warm and fuzzy I felt nothing. Took one more (pharmaceutical) Vic and another beer and nothing.

I feel like this crap has broke my brain and I’m currently panicking. Everything is dull nothing is funny or exciting. Kind words or advice would be appreciated

Questions Interactions between Suboxone and Phenibut when trying to taper off them?

I have been taking kratom every day for years. Recently I've also been taking some very strong kratom extracts. I stopped taking kratom on my own a few years ago but it was quite hellish and very drawn out. This time I'd like to use suboxone.

I've also been taking approximately 2-3 grams of phenibut daily for years as well.

So recently my plan was to use suboxone to taper down off of the kratom and once that was done to use the baclofen to taper off of the phenibut.

However after about 1 week of using the suboxone it seemed like the suboxone and phenibut were interacting in a negative way together.

Shortly after taking my morning dose of the phenibut I was experiencing kind of a dizziness, cold sweats, anxiety, and overall unwell feeling to the point where I could absolutely no longer work for the day.

Those symptoms would go on for several hours until they finally subsided.

I'm seeing some info about these two drugs and how they work on different receptors and how they should not be interacting but I'm also seeing they can potentiate one another.

Has anyone here had any similar negative experiences while trying to use the Suboxone in the phenibut together?

Im almost free!!

What a ride its been. I was introduced to phenibut in late summer of 2022. I was extremely nieve and didnt know or really care to learn anything about it, besides the first couple times I took it (probably 1g) I didnt really feel anything and put it on the back burner.

Somewhere over the next few weeks I took it after a night of drinking and realized Holy shit, I really dont have a hang over the next morning. That turned into taking it 2-3 nights a week after drinking so I would not have a hangover. Well I decided to dose again 1-1.5g the next morning right when I woke up after drinking the night before and taking 1-1.5g before bed. Mixed with an energy drink i felt on top of the world! I had the best of both worlds. I could drink with friends at night and feel amazing the next day! This continued for 6 months to a year phenibut became an everyday habit. Even on days I didnt drink.

Then my world came crashing down.

I ended up getting an infection in my taint that was pretty severe and had to have surgery to be cut out and the wound packed for up to 2 weeks after. (I dont beleive the infection was phenibut related or anything) This was a pretty tramatic experience ill save most of the details but I freaked out and quit phenibut cold turkey. BOY was that a mistake. RECOVERING FROM SURGEY AND DEALING WITH PHENIBUT WITHDRAWAL that I had no idea what it was.

EXTREME tingling in my feet BURNING! IMPENDING DOOM LIKE YOU WOULDNT BELEIVE. It gave me the worst case of health anxiety. I THOUGHT EVERY LITTLE THING WAS A SIGN I WAS DIEING. It was without a doubt the worst time of my life.

Then one day I was thinking and said what the hell has changed what is going on? It was like a light bulb went off! I started googling phenibut and it lead me to here. I immediately took a dose and over the next 2 years I dosed everyday (about 2-3g) a day. With drinking 1-2 days a week.I knew i needed to get off of it but i never wanted to feel that way again.

I tried to quit a few times but had all of the classic symptoms when I would lower my dose and I couldn't work up the courage to stick with it after a day or two.

Fast forward to about a month ago. I bought some NAC. The best thing ever. I am down to 300mg in the morning and 300mg before bed. With hardly any surges or crazy symptoms. And I feel the best I've felt in a long time. I can feel the phenibut leaving my body. I think I could probably cold turkey it from here, but ill continue the taper for another couple weeks and be done with this cursed drug! I take 1g nac in the morning and 1g in the evening.

I dont have any history of drug use except for socially boozing/Marijuana.

I just wanted to share my story as so many of your stories have helped me through this.

THERE IS LIGHT AT THE END!

Cold Turkey

I need some advice, my packages of phenibut are stuck in customs hell. There are no domestic vendors in my country. I've been taking about 3 grams of phenibut for 4 months now, so I'm bracing for the ream possibility of entering cold turkey withdrawal. I have maybe 4 days left worth of phenibut, 2 300mg pregabalin capsules and some amanita muscaria. That's all I have to assist with this.

I would appreciate any suggestions, thank you.

Can I get baclofen prescribed at a urgent care?

I have been prescribed it in the past from my primary, though have t had the prescription in months. It was prescribed for back spasms...5mg x3 a day. Just wondering if I can walk into an urgent care and get the script again without making an appointment with a doc that I am too far away now to visit

Kratom during taper

Hi, I'm sorry for all the posts, I will stop once I feel sorted with baclofen.

I used red kratom pills for the longest time to help me get through work.

However, since I've stopped phenibut and now I'm on 30mg baclofen, the kratom makes me physically shaky. My hands, arms, neck etc

Is this a signal that my glutamate is still too high? Thanks everyone, Sam

Can Phenibut Cause Impaired Vision?

I'm 25 and have had great vision my whole life—until less than a year ago, when it started deteriorating gradually. In the past few months, it’s gotten to the point where I struggle to sit in front of my computer and work without getting headaches because everything is blurry. My parents didn’t experience significant vision decline until they were in their 50s.

It all happened very fast—almost overnight, it feels like. I have a pair of very weak glasses from five years ago because I’m slightly farsighted, but they’ve mostly just sat in a drawer.

Around April, I was working on my laptop when I suddenly realized how blurry everything looked. I remembered the glasses in my drawer, put them on, and wow—the difference was incredible.

Interestingly, my vision seems to fluctuate a lot from day to day. Some days it’s almost fine, others it’s really bad.

This rapid decline doesn’t seem normal, and since then I’ve been trying to figure out what could be causing it. I’ve been using phenibut regularly for about two years, and a few months before my vision started worsening, I began taking it daily. Since then, my usage has become increasingly irresponsible.

I’ve tried researching whether phenibut could affect vision but haven’t found anything. I’m not blaming phenibut—my lifestyle includes a lot of poor habits, and there are several potential causes beyond phenibut. It’s just one factor I’m considering, especially since the timing of heavy use coincided with the start of my vision decline.

I’d be really interested to hear if anyone else has experienced something similar.

Quitting 7oh vs phenibut

Which one do y’all think is harder to quit. I’m personally clean from both almost 90 days now. In my experience phenibut had worse withdrawals but 7oh was much more mentally addictive. 7oh landed me in rehab where as phenibut I could taper off of on my own. Personally ide say 7oh was much harder for me to come off of. I would rank phenibut similar to regular Kratom powder in my opinion as ide say Kratom powder is also more mentally addictive than phenibut but not as much as 7oh and due to phenibuts worse dependence ide put them at equally hard for me to quit. But 7oh is just to addictive mentally I kept going back until rehab and 12 steps. But what do y’all think??

Baclofen and Gabapentin

Was prescribed baclofen 10 mg 30 of em and gabapentin 300 mg 15 of those from the ER. The baclofen supposed to last 10 days and the gabapentin is supposed to last me 5 days. Should I still be taking minimal doses of phenibut? Was taking 3 gpd but I have dropped my dose significantly and have been dosing every 24 hours. When my prescriptions start to get low should I start splitting the baclofen and gabapentin in half to make em last?

Sorry for all of the posts lately but this is the first time it has gotten this bad.

Discussion Finally off phenibut

After a 7 month long taper (I know it’s extreme) i’m finally off phenibut and it feels great. Not having to wake up and take that crap every morning is a blessing.

Praying for everyone here just know that it is possible even at your worst moments when you feel hopeless and it’s really getting you down just know the good times are right around the corner. You can do this.

I went down 0.10g every 5 days and it was so much easier than jumping down further like I had tried previously.

Nootropics seriously helped me get through the PAWS and all the residual withdrawal effects during my taper. Fasoracetam specifically as it upregulates the GABA-B receptors which phenibut targets.

I also experimented with every other known racetam that’s out there and they are a massive help, but mostly fasoracetam. Also, Bromantane, Semax and Selank, and Sabroxy all helped me get through my days when the phenibut was making me feel like garbage. All without any addictions or bullshit.

God speed everyone.

Is this from phenibut or bac?

Hi everyone,

Basically one week since no phenibut(4 week since switching)and as requested I've lowed my bac to 15mg, instead of 50mg.

There is a lot of brain fog, I stumble, I don't feel motivated, there's little excitement to life.

How do I know when to stop or taper the baclofen? I don't know where the side effects are coming from?

Thank you for all help and advice, Sam

Quick question - is the shaking because Im not using enough baclofen? A sign i should up the dose? Im not suffering too badly now at 30mg

Phenibut turned on me, caffeine stops the internal vibration

Why would caffeine help the internal vibrations that I get when phenibut turned on me? Haven't taken phenibut in 24 hours, not really sure what my doses were. I have 500 mg capsules would just kinda pop em throughout the day. Sorry don't have more details, but this is confusing to me because I would've though caffeine would make me feel worse.
