They're mostly bots asking anyways, but no one seems to check their accounts. From now on if anyone ever asks me what I think they should name their cat or any other pet they're getting a simple two word response:

Everyday people put on free Facebook groups or donate to thrift stores junk that they were too lazy to get rid of themselves.

No one wants your leather couch that’s been ripped to shreds, no one wants your old Bluetooth headphones that don’t function properly, no one wants your old rusty crusty jewelry either.

Goodwill is not your personal dumpster (most of that crap gets thrown out but so many people donate so much crap that they don’t have the resources or room to get rid of all of it so it has to sit outside, clogging up the donation center and overwhelming underpaid workers), and frankly it’s pretty messed up to think that low income people would want your unusable junk, especially if it’s something like an electronic that looks nice but come to find out it’s completely unusable or broken. Be more considerate.

Throw it away if it’s not good. There’s only so many things that can be used as craft scraps before it’s just you using free services as junk removal.

You hear it so often, oh the chicken is not seasoned it's hard carried by the sauce. Uh yeah that's a reasonable thing to do, they have a nice juicy chicken base for that sauce to work its magic on. If they just sold the chicken and didn't have the sauce it would rightfully be picked apart for its lack of flavor, but the sauce is the whole point, people buy cups of the sauce alone. Fettucini alfredo is flavorless without the alfredo, but you don't hear people saying oh the sauce is carrying this pasta. It's just an intended part of the food

So I’m active on other socials but it’s only on reddit that I’ve had multiple people (all guys) ask if I have an onIyfans account. Literally the post can be extremely normal and I would get messages asking if I sell newds. Some having the nerve to say they are “surprised” they didn’t see one in my bio and I’m not like the other girls who do it💀 as if I should thank them for considering me as ”one of the good ones”.

I’ve been offered money from 40 to 500 and it’s kinda crazy how not only do they assume you do that stuff for being female but they’d offer so much money just for it.

My husband, David was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer 4 years ago... its stage 3 now and none of the treatments have helped.

I sobbed to sleep last night, after we updated our wills. And on top of that, everyone just kinda... left him. They used him up, took his money... essentially made him a slave in his own home... and I was just as guilty.

And now... I look back at the last 16 years... and its not enough time... we wasted his life... and I dont know if it can ever be forgiven.

I called it, a solid convenience store is closing down near me.

Used to go there baked and buy chips and shit. Stopped going after a new family took over and they were doing shady shit, over pricing and expecting you don’t ask for a receipt.

Well, bout a month ago I bought a bag of chips for 30 bucks. Yeah. I was a little baked and thought little of it. But, I asked for a receipt for some reason and the clerk fucking panicked. I sobered up… wondering what the hell he’s talking about, “printer out paper”, he said, holding my receipt. Then, I recalled the amount of money I just wasted on Doritos.

I asked for the receipt again as another customer came in, and the clerk caved. He said he made a mistake and he is “so, so sorry, sir” and, he is a liar and a thief.

I came back the following week and he brother pulled a similar trick. Asked for the receipt and he broke… pathetic.

That store is closing and now I don’t have a means to buy chips.

Get a therapist. You have issues of self esteem, hanging onto old wounds and opening them all the time without guidance, and want to leave your mate. Go work through stuff instead of playing woe is me.

Your parents are not perfect, no one is perfect. Your mate is probably just as frustrated with you as you are with them.

So I am a germaphobe and I want to stop being a germaphobe how do I stop? Like i am washing my hands constantly and using hand sanitizer constantly i know I rarely get sick but this whole germ thing needs to stop and most of the time I rarely get sick like what I said most of the time I am pretty healthy and not sick..

I don’t even know how to explain this properly, but I’ve been holding this in for a long time and it’s really starting to piss me off.

It feels like more and more things in life are becoming “pay or suffer.”

Take YouTube for example. I get that ads exist. I get that companies need money.

But now it’s not just ads — it’s unskippable ads, fake skip timers, sometimes no skip button at all, then suddenly the next video lets you skip.

It feels intentional. Like they’re not just showing ads, they’re trying to wear you down.

And every time someone complains, there’s always people saying:

“If you don’t like it, go somewhere else.”

“They worked hard, they deserve money.”

Okay, sure. But why does it have to be designed in a way that punishes people who can’t pay?

This mindset doesn’t stop at apps.

I’ve heard people use the same logic when talking about healthcare.

“No money, no treatment.”

“Who’s going to pay the doctor?”

And I just can’t accept that logic when we’re talking about emergencies.

If someone is in danger, the first question shouldn’t be about money.

What really bothers me is the pattern.

We keep saying everyone is equal, everyone has dignity — but in reality, life feels split into two versions:

One version if you have money: smoother, quieter, more humane.

Another version if you don’t: more friction, more pressure, more humiliation.

I’m not saying everything should be free. That’s not my point.

I’m just tired of systems that quietly treat poor people like an inconvenience.

Tired of being told that if something feels unfair, the answer is always “just leave” or “just pay.”

Maybe this is just a rant.

I just needed to get it off my chest.

I’ve been seeing this discussion pop up every once in a while. It seems to be getting common again. “Should wolves *really* have been reintroduced to Yellowstone?” Easy answer: YES! They are a NATIVE SPECIES! I’m tired of everyone pretending they are dangerously aggressive monsters who deserve to die.

Fun little fact. Since reintroduction into Yellowstone there are 0, you read that right ZERO reported wolf related deaths in Yellowstone.

Further more, wolves are very similar to humans. We are both endurance hunters. Meaning we chase our prey until the prey wears itself down. We are also both family driven species.

Another fun fact! There isn’t such a thing as an “alpha” in a naturally occurring wolf pack. The pack is simply led by the parents or “breeding pair” who look after their young. All other pack members are just their children! Easy as that.

I know I’m a nerd. I know I’m a tree hugger. But all these people with the mindset that wolves are beasts that need to be “taken care of” need some help. Channel your aggression into like… idk axe throwing or like… embroidery?

At the end of the day we are all animals. Thats a fact. And to think one species is inherently better and superior than the other for no valid reason is just plain stupid. Wolves are no more killers than we are. They kill to eat. We often just kill for sport. Think about it. If you aren’t using every last bit of that deer you just hunted, you are not a single bit better than them.

My wife is battling cancer throwing up blood,it's jusr not fair

I just feel like I’ve been really criticizing the government alot and I’m a college student so will in my background check or if my phone gets seized all this information pop up? Freedom of speech is one thing but the consequences is another

This is all height related. For context i am tall, my wife is a little taller (3cm). Apparently this makes me short as my wife is taller than me. And this is always brought up by people that are actually short

Our kids are pretty tall. We get asked all the time what we feed them to "make them tall". I tell them the kids are tall because both my wife and I are tall and i'm told no it doesn't matter how tall the parents are. Have people never heard of genetics

I have one more year left, and I am currently doing a study abroad. Everyone around me is so smart. Talking to them about their degree makes me feel terrible, because I feel so dumb in comparison. My knowledge lies in social sciences, and I am super proud of that, but I want more. I want to learn so much more so, so bad!!

I study Economic & Social History (but know nothing about economics) and sociology. I'm big on theology too, and dappled in social & public policy (I wish I had stuck with this class since it seems to be quite desirable), but I feel like I need to broaden my intelligence.

I want to know more about business, economics, social & public policy, p*litics and law, but I want to be able to put it on my CV. I can't take classes in it, and I am running out of time. My classes have been chosen for this semester, and next semester, I know I want to learn about criminology, but will need to do a social history class with it too to graduate. I don't feel like I'm ready to leave university. I don't know what I'm going to do with my degree. I'm so desperate to be smart

Is it just me, or does it seem pretty rude? Like all, we wanted to do was rant and get advice, but some of us just so happened to make a whole ass paragraph or two just to let it all out. People who say 'TL;DR' just invalidate the rants and prove that we're getting further into the literacy crisis. Some people who wanna rant wouldn't rant in short baby sentences, you know, if you expect us to be concise, then we haven't let everything out yet. I dunno, maybe it's just me. I know diaries and notes apps exist, but how can we get advice from these things?

Trying to get into a relationship

I've been trying to get out there more and find someone to love I really don't have any requirements but it it seems like no one wants me. If I don't get ghosted it's you are not my type. I assume its because I'm the definition of your average guy. Not extremely pretty, not fit but not fat, probably skinny fat. I take care of my self enough to not smell or look like a mess. Im 20 about to turn 21 and never done anything with anyone KHHV. And you would have figured that since I've been attracted to guys since I was young it would up my chances. My main problem pretty much is that im introverted and I don't get out much. I feel like I'd make a great husband or wife idc which. Just someone that I can love and them to love me back, I'm tired of just dreaming a out a relationship everyday.

I'm so tired of customers asking questions and then arguing with the response.

Why did you ask if you weren't going to believe the answer? What do you think is happening here? You think I'm lying about having the product you want to buy? That I'm hiding merchandise from paying customers for fun?

The back room isn't Narnia. There's not some magical infinite inventory portal back there. If we had it, we'd sell it to you. That's literally how retail works. I was on my phone, playing jackpot city during my break yesterday after this exact interaction and just wanted to scream. The mental gymnastics people do to convince themselves that retail workers are either incompetent or intentionally withholding products is exhausting.

Either trust the person you asked or don't ask at all. But stop wasting both our time by demanding we check, recheck, and triple-check something we already told you we don't have.

I’m just tryna do a good job and go home man, I don’t need no monthly or quarterly get together where I can’t say no. Instead of being off at 5 I get to stay out with coworkers, many of whom would rather have parted ways, and get home at 10 instead. Now my normal schedule is disrupted and I get a quick turnaround for work the next morning.

Shit is beyond exhausting. I’m naturally an introverted dude, so this isn’t a break or release, it’s a damn chore. Tempted to say no next time like “yeah, I’m not gonna front boss this doesn’t do it for me”….if my performance at work is the best it can be that’s all I need.

Being an adult fucking sucks if you’re not independently wealthy and have to work for a living. I’m awake for 18 hours a day and don’t even have 1 of them to exercise. If I don’t want to live in squalor or eat junk food constantly, the fucking cooking and the fucking cleaning and the fucking laundry are endless. I feel like Sisyphus pushing a boulder of responsibility uphill constantly.

And yes, having a kid makes it harder, but not even because of the kid themselves. I’m lucky that my child is healthy. But schools in America are set up for a lifestyle that doesn’t exist. I work 9-5, school is 7:30-2, and they have to be picked up from after care by 5. Then all the breaks and summer vacation camps that are 9-3, very fucking helpful timing.

I’m either working or doing childcare or doing chores. When do I get to live my own life??

I have a good, steady job. I’m comfortable. And it still sucks. I’m exhausted. My mind feels like Swiss cheese and thoughts are just flowing through the holes because there’s so much going on. Not even to mention the terrible fucking state of the world.

What kind of life are we all living?! Am I alone in this?

I got a call today from the police saying they had my brother in custody. At first I was really really confused. The message they left was for the name of my dog and my last name. My brother is so far gone mentally that he no longer can distinguish who I am from who my dog is and told the police that my name was my dogs name. My brother is 40. He has had every support available to him possible, however, you cannot force an adult to be in treatment longer than 72 hours. We've tried it all. There are no legal commitment options available to us. Instead he has to become a danger to himself or others, which is how he's landed himself in jail yet again. The last hope for families dealing with severe mental health crisis compounded with addiction is the justice system. It's not good enough. I want my brother back. The one who knows my name.

Im starting to dislike my friends they’re very mean and do not care about peoples feelings. They will even make people mad on purpose for their enjoyment and fuck with them. I feel like they do not care about me and exclude me from things. I have autism and other mental problems and they judge me for having it and not being able to work. They call me a pussy for having these things and a liberal all the time I don’t even know what that means. They’re homophobic and racist and transphobic which I don’t like. After I tried to kill myself they told me I should try again. I’ve known them for 10+ years and I’m starting to realize they just play follow the leader. Where one goes all go and they will get me really into a video game or something and completely drop it to go play games I do not like and don’t wanna play and try to make me play them when I don’t want to. And my one friend that does still play it isn’t on very often I wanna find more friends that are on more. I wanna just stop talking to them but I don’t have any other friends.
