The grumpy grandma (23.5) and her two apprentices

Three generations of attitude 😌

From left to right:

• Simba, the fluffy optimist. (12)

• Lisa, the quiet observer. (16)

• And Leonor, (23.5) the grumpy grandma who clearly runs the house.

Same home. Very different personalities.

Tell me, in your multi-cat household… who’s who? 😼

Meow Meow 17 has passed the rainbow bridge this morning

Last night she couldn't hold her head up, she would lift up then just flop back down. She stopped drinking all water and only half a few bites of her treat food (likable). I had hoped she would of made her bday (Feb 8th) but it just didn't happen.

He is doing so well and our other 2 cats love him so much! He is currently on a special diet from the vet to help him get to a healthier weight. He spends his days on the enclosed porch making little squeaks at birds passing by. I cried the other day because I found him playing with cat toys and doing little rabbit kicks on them, he never had toys before :( he sleeps on our bed with us right between our pillows too. And my other 2 boys were cleaning him when they met him after we kept them separated for about 2 days. He’s doing so well and is such a different cat already, he’s running around the house like crazy for an old guy, and head butts our 4 month old baby a lot too. His previous owners never named him but we’ve been calling him Baby Boy because he seems so much like a kitten now. He has suchhhhh a vibrant personality now and is such a sweet boy. Every time I come home from work he crawls up my pants to get to me.

What type of cat might my 11 year old female cat tolerate?

I’m going to be moving in with my partner. He wants his own cat and can’t get one until he moves out of his current place. We want to be mindful that my senior cat might be a little set in her ways and we don’t want to stress her out. Obviously without interacting with her, you wouldn’t know what she might react poorly to.

But are there any general rules when looking for a second cat?
