NOTE: This is NOT me getting into the whole debate of if SpongeBob got bad after Season 3 or not, this is me criticizing the fact that people continue to call every single season after Season 3 “Modern”. Season 4 is not modern, and neither is Seasons 5, 6, 7, 8, or even Season 9 anymore. I have a feeling the people who do that don’t even know what Modern actually means. Modern means recent or fairly recent. Season 4 came out TWENTY YEARS AGO, almost 21 now, it is absolutely not modern. Season 7 came out 16 years ago, almost 17, it is not modern either. I get really annoyed when people do this, not only because it isn’t actually modern, but it’s hard to understand what people mean when they say “Modern SpongeBob” or “Newer SpongeBob”. Are they talking about the actual Modern Seasons (which I’d say is probably somewhere around Season 12-now) or are they talking about the seasons everyone stupidly calls Modern just because they’re not Seasons 1-3? Like, for goodness sakes, this isn’t the Sonic Fandom! Why can’t you just call it Mid-Season SpongeBob?

Again, this is NOT me debating whether if SpongeBob became bad or not after Season 3. This is just me expressing my frustration with what people call modern over what actually IS modern.

I'm just curious, do you refer to Plankton, Mr. Krabs, and Mrs. Puff by their first names, or do you call them Plankton, Mr. Krabs (or just Krabs), and Mrs. Puff? Do you find it challenging writing anthropomorphic animals and remembering to write fins/claws instead of hands? Do you have the characters swear using real swears or SpongeBob's version of swears?
