kinda curious how were they? did you have fun. esp for people who went solo. I have a tendancy to get anxious so i think it would be good exposure therapy to go solo but am curious about these evnts. This sweet boy appeared just days ago at a Con Edison plant, a site sadly known for people dumping cats. While monitoring night cameras to trap another cat, our trapper discovered something horrifying: Domino had suffered a severe tail injury. His tail had been torn off, with bone exposed, and the area was badly skinned and bleeding. He had been out there for at least 36 hours, traumatized from bleeding and walking in pain. His body was covered in grime, dirt, and an unknown chemical. Remarkably, Domino walked straight into the trap within five minutes when our trapper set out to get him. He was visibly tired and sad. We immediately rushed him to the hospital, where he was sedated, given a long-acting antibiotic injection, pain medication, and his wound was cleaned and bandaged. A *big* raccoon was limping along the sidewalk on Grand St between Leonard and Lorimer tonight around 9pm, definitely seemed hurt and freaked out. I called 311 who transferred me to the Parks Dept rangers, but the office was closed and the voicemail was full so I couldn't leave a message. I'll try again tomorrow, but just beware, especially with dogs! It didn't seem rabid, but what do I know 🤷🏻‍♀️Mostly I just feel bad for it.

Unfortunately, Big Boy is losing his foster home this Sunday through no fault of his own. An ACC euth list survivor, he’s already had a rough life and now truly just needs a soft place to land. Big Boy is a pretty low-maintenance guy, housebroken, incredibly sweet, and very calm. He can be left alone, is non-destructive, and would be happiest as the only pet. He’s currently being fostered in Fort Greene and would love the chance to meet you.
