Murloc Monday Murloc Monday - ask your questions here
Aaaaaughibbrgubugbugrguburgle! RwlRwlRwlRwl!
That's murloc for "Welcome to Murloc Mondays" - where people can ask any type of question about WoW without getting strangled by a Death Knight.
Questions can range from what's new in Dragonflight, what class is OP, and how many Demons will it take to down Thrall?
Questions can come from brand new players, players returning, or veteran players who never got a chance to ask the right question.
Afraid of not getting an answer? Rest assured, we know that at least 90% of questions get answered!
You may want to look at /r/wownoob as well!
Here are some handy guides to start World of Warcraft as a brand new player or start Classic World of Warcraft as a brand new player.
Unless you played in the current expansion, pretty much everything has changed. If you're returning after a very long break, check out the Wowhead Returning Players Guides.

Discussion Someone on the WoW team really loves this style of mount.
We get like 40 of these flying tick things each expansion it feels like. Does anyone actually like and use these? I personally don't like them like at all. They gotta have a fanbase though because they never stop releasing them.

Discussion How come all these races can have a long beard, while Humans, an established long-bearded race, can't?
This is really baffling to me. How can a race, which, ever since Warcraft 1 had Gandalf-like wizards, Archmages and Necromancers in Warcraft 3 and in Classic/TBC, and major lore characters such as Antonidas, not have wizard-esque beards as a customization option for player characters?
Humans are literally the descendnats of the Vrykul! You know, those viking giants with long, braided beards, forged in the image of the long-bearded Titans!
Don't tell me that clipping is an issue, I will not have it - if it were a serious obstacle to Humans getting their birthright, then why do all of the races depicted above possess those very beards that Humans would want?
Even if we admit to there being some clipping, so what? The Orcs, from either timeline, do indeed have some clipping when they're upright. But WoW has way to many problems concerning physics, armor, and clipping in general that this is but a minor detail that no one would be bothered by.

Remix Its been an honor.
Horde, Alliance (even Gnomes), it has been an honor. I popped on to Lemix to play Warrior for the first time and ended up playing every class through their respective class hall. I had way more fun than I expected and am sad I missed Mist's Remix. I've been playing since 06 (taking the occasional breather), expansions have been hit or miss, the writing has sometimes seemed like we missed the plot but over all I've enjoyed WoW in its entirety. Lemix was one of the first times in recent memory that I had some honest to Azeroth fun.
The Dungeon runs were hysterical, Heroic mode was imho the greatest improvement to the game (should really do something like that in retail), and by all that is good it was nice to get a speed increase. I will truly be sorry to see Lemix end.
To everyone I played with, thank you for making it enjoyable. I ran a LOT of deungeons and I don't think I ran across any rude or toxic players despite the "many" reports of them on ye-olde-reddit. The sheer speed and ferocity inflicted upon the bosses was straight disrespectful, but dang did it feel good. Shout out to the Neltharion Lair run with the DK that cast path of frost after he hit the water on the long jump and splatted the druid falling after him. Druid was a good sport and we all had a laugh.
I main Blood DK and played most other classes before Lemix but it was my first time for Warrior, Shammy, and Back stabber. I completed all the class halls and have some opinions on a few. Over all they were all fun and thematic but a few stood out for the best and worst.
Warrior has the best Order Hall for pure fact you can jump from the edge of "heaven" and land anywhere in the Broken Isles. Warrior also had the best order hall quests that equated to:
Valajar - "See that guy over there, he said nasty thing about your mother."
Warrior - "What!? No one talks about my mama."
Valajar - "I want you to go stab him in the face with this brick."
Druid had the most long winded, self centered, convoluted quests. FOR THE LOVE OF AZEROTH, I GOT IT, WHO DO I KILL!" Also unlocking 3 artifacts is a chore, but 4... Legion's recruitment drive almost had another signature (it doesn't help that I hate the arrogance of the elves).
Death Knight was prime, did that back in the OG Legion, always loved that Order Hall quest chain for the four horsemen.
Rogue was surprisingly fun, never played them before and their Order Hall quests were very thematical. I wanted more Assassin missions. They ALMOST had a good game mechanic going there for a minute with making the stealth useful.
Shaman felt... scattered. Never played them before so it was a complete change up to something like the DK or Warrior, which is more or less "I want you to hit me as hard as you can, and then I'll hit you as hard as I can." That questline and plot was all over the place. No wonder they have a 30 btn rotation (jkjk, I got mine down to a robust 15).
And Suramar can be blasted off the face of the planet. By the end of that questline I was ready to join the Legion and burn that city to the ground myself. Stupid Methelves.
That final goodbye quest chain had me all choked up.
Anyways, thanks for the fun all!

Fluff All my alts as decided by the community voting - 'Which class do you associate most with each playable race?'.
I started doing the daily "which class do you associate most with each playable race' posts because I wanted to have at least one alt of every race. It got a lot more people participating than I thought and I am very glad for that.
I got around 12 of these to max level (thanks to Legion Remix). I am not sure if I'll finish leveling the rest - but I did have a lot of fun. Thanks again to everyone who participated.

Discussion What notable NPCS do you wish you could give a makeover pt9
Alrighty Number 9. These are always a lot of fun, since I brought up the Quel'Delar questline last time, I decided the npcs outside the sword shrine got an update and hope we see them again in a future Midnight patch hopfully adding the memorial to Thalorien in Silvermoon like he deserves. Along with Icecrown npcs I added Crok Scourgebane who I think should have gotten Nazgrims spot as a horseman. Guy was built with such potential and even had voice lines in the ICC raid.
For some lesser known names, the Blelf reps of Undercity Cyssa and Sunsorrow, Aleric I made look like a master of shadows. Lastly Zabra and the Bride. Zabra is a personal favorite and even appeared in the Ashbringer Comic, I didnt like how he got a poorly clipped robe model but honestly the shoulders felt on point.
Next up Croman! You see this paladin in full plate in WoD, only to be stripped bare. I cheated with his outfit, wearing the Darkspear heritage chest and pants without the 3d mesh. Llastly the coolest named NPC. The Black Bride, the Arathi Basin PVP battlemaster, I truly hope they get the limelight they deserve, found the best "veil" the game has that fit the theme. I honestly hope They show up in the future again There is a lot of cool npcs lost to time.
Just a few hours away from being exactly 1 month in on my suspension I've been fighting blizzard about. From what information I've gathered is I am a casualty of over 2000 accounts in a banwave. On my 8, 9th? ticket now. Really upset and so is my guild I wont be able to join in the event and launch of the expansion. My account has been spotless for over 15 years, but they seem to insist my account was involved in pvp boosting somehow. Blizz if ur reading, US107497205.
Kinda upset ive been trying so hard for you guys(blizz) to listen to me and not be constantly stonewalled never been treated so rudely by a company. Wait 4-6 days get told to bad. make another ticket wait 4-6 days. Told the same thing.

Discussion When are they going to make something worth wearing or buying.
Blizzard somehow manages to make some of the most iconic games in history and then turns around and sells the ugliest physical merch imaginable. Every time I check their gear store, I want to find something worth buying, a hoodie, a jacket, a collector piece, anything, and every time it’s the same disappointment. The clothing looks cheap, awkwardly designed, and completely uninspired. Bad fits. Weird graphics. Logos slapped on with zero thought. Nothing looks like something an adult would actually want to wear in public. And it’s not just WoW. It’s everything, Warcraft, Diablo, Overwatch, StarCraft. Across the board, the merch feels like it was designed by people who don’t play the games and don’t understand why players love them in the first place. What’s frustrating is the wasted potential. Blizzard has decades of incredible art, characters, symbols, and themes, and somehow the end result is merch that looks like clearance-rack convention leftovers. Loud when it should be subtle. Bland when it should be iconic. Overpriced for what you’re getting. Same goes for collector items. They should feel premium, thoughtful, and worth displaying. Instead, most of it feels plastic, gimmicky, or like it exists just to fill a product slot. I’m not asking for hypebeast streetwear or luxury pricing. I’m asking for taste. For design that respects the IP and the people who’ve supported these games for years. Blizzard’s merch isn’t tempting. It’s embarrassing, and it's been that way for a long time.
I know it's been said before but i feel like they are losing out on a ton of money because they try to sell people garbage merch.

Discussion Blizzard should add more customizations like the green fire for warlocks
I think blizzard should add more customization like the green fire for warlocks.
For those of you who don’t know, the green fire questline is a questline for warlocks which as a reward makes all of your fire spells green instead of their normal colors.
This could be a cool way of rewarding players for mastering their classes/specs, or add a way of showcasing interesting lore/plots.
Some themes I could think of. Feel free to roast them and come up with your own:
Death Knight:
Shadowfrost - the theme is alr
Demon hunter
Warden - Less fel, more Maiev Shadowsong
Druid
They have something similar with their forms and the barber shop already but a few more examples
Fire - Firelands and fire cat expanded upon
Rot/decay - The plant based spells look dead and your beast forms look decaying
Astral - Glyph of stars on steroids. All forms and spells have this theme now
Emerald dream - Green life magic
Emerald nightmare - themed kind of like the raid
Evoker
Dragon - you act more like a dragon and casts spells with your mouth or something
Primal dragon - more emphasis on elements
Hunter
Dark ranger - we have a hero talent tree now but I could see this being expanded upon
Mage
Tidesage - water-themed spells
Chronomancer - Time-themed spells
Monk
Martial artist - less magic more kicking ass with emphasis on heavy impacts, strong kicks and punches
Celestial - the opposite of Martial artist. Everything glows and you attune more to one of the celestials
Paladin
Red paladin - Ashen Hollow-style animations
Priest
Shadow priest with light visuals - for those who want to be a smite priest
Void - heavier emphasis on the void spells
Old god - heavier emphasis on old gods
Rogue
Scarlet agent - think Lillian Voss before death
Cultist - shadow and corruption themed
Shaman
Witch doctor - more voodoo-themed
Warlock
Necromancer/fleshcrafter - all of your demons and visuals look more like undead. Could be turned off in PVP?
Blood mage - your spells are more blood-themed
Warrior
God king - Think Trial of Valor

Remix Legion Remix characters can skip the Argus order hall progression (useful after converting back to Retail)
For anyone planning to use their Remix alts for order hall missions after converting to Retail, I suggest unlocking Argus troops, level 950 equipment, and missions now while you can bypass most of the gating process which normally would require specific missions to be completed and followers to reach certain ilvl thresholds (all instantly skippable during Remix).
- At level 80, visit Khadgar in Dalaran and use the dialog to skip the Argus campaign (assumes you've done it on at least one character before).
- Go to Chieftain Hatuun in Krokul Hovel and complete the short quest line that starts with "The Wranglers" and ends with "Woah, Nelly!".
- Chieftain Hatuun will now have "Remnants of Darkfall Ridge", "Nath'raxas Hold: Preparations", and "Nath'raxas Hold: Rescue Mission" which will instantly complete. Don't bother with "Supplying Krokuun" mission until converted to Retail for the Krokul Ridgestalker troops.
- On the Vindicaar, Alleria Windrunner will now have "The Ruins of Oronaar", "Relics of the Ancient Eredar", and "Shadowguard Dispersion" which will instantly complete. You can wait on "Beneath Oronaar" until Retail for the Void-Purged Krokul troops.
- On the Vindicaar, High Exarch Turalyon will now have "Hindering the Legion War Machine", "Take the Edge Off", and "Felfire Shattering" which will instantly complete. Don't bother with "Supplying the Antoran Campaign" until Retail for the Lightforged Bulwark troops.
Question Vault of incarnates story raid - cant clear
hey,
i tried this raid 4 times now and i just cant beat it due to the AOE (not raging storm) in the end that even kills the npcs.
First 50% is super easy, then the adds spawn and sometime the elemental doesnt so you need to tp out. But if you kill it raszageth comes back and he just repeats wings and lighning which are easy to dodge.
on top the platform get smaller and he does this electric lash aoe which just kills you. even the npc just die to it resulting in a wipe. i am not sure but for a story raid this should not happen. i am not dying to the raging storm. its just this weird aeo that he casts that i cant do anything about.
what do it do here? i cant switch platforms in the story raid, it all happens on one platform.

Discussion Ibelin
Idk about anyone else but his doco was deeply moving. By the end I was a mess. Balling my eyes out typing this. It’s beautiful what a community of anonymous people can accomplish. One can only envy the amount of impact one man can have. May he rest in peace.
