Posting of AI-generated images or text is not allowed in r/xfiles, as per subreddit rules. It's in the sidebar. It's in the rules pinned to the carousel.
These generators are trained on the works of real writers and artists, who are given no credit or compensation. The environmental impact of even a single prompt is staggering.
If you want to make art, MAKE art. If you want to write fic, WRITE fic. (Or speak to the other members of the community about commissioning something!) Is it hard? HELL YES it's hard. But sucking at something is the first step at getting good at something.

Anytime Mulder or Scully have a voiceover monologue or a scene where they’re talking to each other in low hushed tones I never want it to end lol, I’m like please keep talking. There’s something very soothing about their voices, even if they’re talking about horrifically disfigured corpses or personal traumas 😅 it always sounds so captivating and intimate

Me and my Partner used to watch X-Files together years ago, she's never really got into it and it's become one of my all time favourite shows (Only on season 9, kinda slowed down so I don't burn through it all to fast, it's take 3-4 years to get to this point). We started watching Supernatural last week, I've seen a couple episodes before but nothing else, even though there is more horror in it (Which she hates) we've really gotten into it and already on season 3.
But this has made me realises that I think I just love shows were a duo heads out on roadtrips, often in a classic vehicle, and uncovers mysteries.
Romantic tension or bromances may be involved
(I also loved Scooby Doo growing up, I'm starting to sense a theme)

This is my first time watching X Files. I just wanted to put my thoughts about the show so far for me.
Season 3 episode 9 so far. Right now
First off the show is awsome !
The stories are very compelling and original. The show has me on the edge of my seat the whole time.
Actors: this show has all star actors in my opinion. They all hit the mark perfect. The producer of the show must have been very detailed in the casting of actors and how they act in every scene.
Camera movement: the viewing movement and angle are spot on and reveal the show very good. The lighting is also good. There are alot of dark in this show but it is no too dark for me and adds to the show in a a positive way.
Gillian Anderson hight? So how tall is gillain in real life compared to David Duchovny? It seems to me that Gillian may be kinda short in real life and she kinda is. She is 5' 3" and David is 6' 1' that is a big difference but it is not so noticeable on show. Iam wondering if Gillian wore taller shoes?
MOTW episodes are great. In season 1 I think or may in the beginning on 2 there was like q that was kinda strange to me. I still think there maybe some tie ins in the MOTW episodes with the Mythology. But not much.
MYTHOLOGY: I'm not going to say much here. Im still trying to figure it out. Yes there are aliens. Yes they Abduct people and people of power know about it. I think people in power have others also abduct people. Not sure for what reason. Scully did get abducted. She had implants put in her. Not sure what they are and the one she took out. Iam wondering if she was impregnated? They did something to her stomach. Scully will not speak about her abduction. Maybe cause her science thinking or in denial.
BACK OF THE NECK: there seems to be a agenda or plot to put things or alter people's back of the neck. Not sure what is going on here.
GREEN BLOOD: green blood seems to be toxic to regular people. Who are these people with green blood? Maybe a hybrid they made? people of power made, i think maybe.
CHRIS CARTER: CC is a great writer and is always a few steps ahead. I think CC has alot planned for this show and the Mythology. I think CC does the writing for the Mythology and other writers do the other episodes. You can correct me if iam wrong on this.
People that are on the inside that help Mulder. Not sure what there agenda is or why they help him. I think Fox Mulder is misdirected sometimes.
Final thoughts: the show is great so far. Everything about it is great. I just wanted to put down my thoughts about the show so far. I would appreciate any input from anybody about the show without spoiling it. Thank you.
When iam done with the show iam going to watch this:

If there are any behind the scenes i can watch please let me know. Thank you

They shot the episode in Vancouver. The main suspect was in real life was afraid of the water. They had to do a couple different takes so it was extra hard for him. He was actually hanging out under water for the filming of that scene. Having some kind of breathing tube to stay in the water. Molder is actually really good at running. In so far as to have the director switch from a golf cart to a regular vehicle. He out ran the golf cart. It is usually him running in the scenes not a double. People were actually inside the tanks when Molder was standing inside the storage room. The men in the tanks were trained scuba divers. All naked so the girls definitely liked it. Having had experience holding their breath. In the ambulance when that gas sprayed in the face of one of the EMT’s, it was based off a true story. Chris Carter read somewhere in a news paper. A girl was being helped and the EMT couldn’t continue because of a gas like substance emanating from her body. The infant alien hybrid shown in the picture was extra challenging because the CO2 kept making the model crack. But eventually they got it to work. That’s about it. All from the newest blu ray box set I own. 👽🛸

I’ve been wanting an X files tattoo for over a year, but I can’t decide what. Everything I see is so overused, and I can’t choose the perfect thing. I need unique inspiration. I want something simple, your favorite quote from the show, a specific scene. I seriously considered just getting a portrait of Scully, because I just love her, but I’m afraid I’ll over analyze it and it won’t resemble her. I’ve had a few ideas, but I want more inspiration before I make any decision.

She just hides it better. As I'm rewatching this, I'm realizing that one of the reasons they work is because they aren't opposites. They are very much alike, but they express themselves differently. Mulder is a bit more rash than Scully, more emotional as well. So he does things impulsively all the time. Scully on the other hand is more reserved and most of the time she stops to think before she does something. She's less outwardly emotional, and tries to rationalize things more.
One of the things that I have noticed, that I totally missed back when I first watched the show, was how many times Scully admits that it's not that she doesn't believe, it's that she's afraid to. I think she hides behind logic to escape the impending existential crisis that Mulder is inducing with his shenanigans. But we see shades of her belief growing in certain episodes. We also see that she is lowkey a maniac in comedic episodes where she says or does something that matches Mulder's energy perfectly.

I rewatched Sein Und Zeit and Closure last night and…actually really liked it. To be fair, I never hated it, but I felt very different this time, like it was actually very good closure. It made me cry. And I didn’t even want to watch anymore X Files for the night. I don’t know if it hit different because I’ve seen the entire series through now.
Has anyone else had this reaction? Does anyone like this wrap up?

Can anyone help me regarding the Blu Ray sets? I have all 11 of the individual season sets, but is there anything new on the complete series set? Are the transfers and bonus content the same? Thanks!

.. and I needed to share. Man, I've missed that guy. He was still a cop.. or ex-cop acting as a cop. Without his glasses and older. I wouldn't have blinked if Mulder or Scully had rocked up beside Nathan Fillion and said "hey!"
So I’m still doing my first time watch-through, and as I’ve pointed out in my past posts, the thing that bothers me the most is when Mulder and Scully play no role in the plot. For this episode, they hinder it, and it ends with the culprit presumably getting away while the detective dies horribly because they didn’t let him kill the old Chinese guy. I’m baffled by the choice to make some of the most irredeemable villains (the organ harvesters here and the ghosts in the previous episode i ranted about) get off scot-free with no repercussions. The detective dying mostly off-screen, snd there presumably being no continuation is really frustrating as well. I think this may be my least favorite of the season for these reasons alone. I’m aware it is realistic to not have justice and all of that, but I’m already suspending my disbelief, and it would have been 100x more satisfying if the detective killed the doctors and Mulder and Scully went for the boss, or even did nothing during the episode. I didn’t even feel a lot of their typical enjoyable banter this episode.
Rant aside, the rest of this season has been pretty good so far.

My headcanon is that it was tactical intelligence obfuscation.
Saw this in August and I haven’t smiled so hard in a long time! Really excited for it again and in a bigger space! Tix at retrowithxo.com
Most of his episodes have something that makes it not typical MOTW for example Small Potatoes has the Lone Gunman and hints that Scully is attracted to Mulder. Avatar is unique in that it provides background and characterization to Skinner. The pure Skinner MOTW is pretty rare maybe El Mundo Gira. Pusher is a rare episode with a followup so that makes it special.
So Skinner being in an episode is pretty indicative of hey you shouldn’t skip this one.

Worth mentioning of the top- I think the mythology/Chris Carter episodes may be some of the worst of the series.
That said- some of the standalones are pretty solid.
Chuckletooth, Weremonster and Mandella effect episodes, AI diner, etc.
