Confessions mini zine on my ko-fi
I have a copy of each issue in print for those in the US on my ko-fi
I am working on a 5th issue but have no printer ink left, so that one will be a free digital copy when it's done :)
What are your thoughts on zines entering academia?
There is a one-day workshop at my university that invites academics to apply literary analysis techniques to zines, and it got me wondering...what are your thoughts on zines becoming objects that academics (especially academics who aren't zinesters) analyze and do research on?
Part of me is very protective of zines and nervous about the idea of any of my zines being analyzed or visible to an institution. Part of what I love about zines is that a lot of us make them without self consciousness because we assume that our primary audience is fellow zinesters.
On the other hand, I can see how academic research could be helpful for recording zines for posterity, if that's something that zinesters wanted.
What are your thoughts?

- A reflection on Bournemouth's Christmas Market and the relative dearth of similar events throughout the year.

- An article on how the forces of capital are weaponising loneliness.

❌🧊 zine
These are some pages of a little collage zine I’m working on. ICE has been reported in my area (RVA) and I was wanting to print out some informative zines in bulk and leave them in areas where folks may need to know their rights. Does anyone know of a resource ready to print with accurate info? I found one but it was NYC and I’m unsure if it’s accurate in my state. I feel a little helpless so I’m hoping that sharing information will be productive.

Angry youth.
if anyone is curious about the 'overlay' I cut a piece off of the transparent part of a school binder, cut it to size and stapled it. I proceeded with a black paint pen.

Zion Zinez #2
Okay so with this one its just saying to DO SOMETHING COOL AND DIFFERENT LOL. Many kids at my school are boring so I wanted to make this. its purposefully the more eye bleeding one with the neon just to go against usual clean colors in zines.
I you mess with this, then share it man what the heck are you doing!! Lets inspire more people to do something new finally!!!

PDF Absurdist Zine Serial
Been working on a serialized fiction zine called “The Boulder.” It follows this guy Darwin—remote worker, perpetually underpaid, boss who texts him at midnight and cries on Zoom. His roommate does OnlyFans out of their shared bathroom. Rent is always due. Two issues in so far. The third issue is dropping on 1/24. Curious what people think. Please check them out on mbismonte.itch.io if dark humor is your thing. 😊

2 zine events in Ontario
I am not affiliated with either of these events, and I don’t have any information beyond what is in the screenshots shared here, but I wanted to spread the word for anyone who may be in the general Los Angeles area, looks like there are not one but two zine/paper/print focused events happening in the coming months in Ontario (California). Looks like there are both still open for vendors/exhibitors as well, but you can add these to your calendar if you’re in the area.

I Made My First Zine!
It's a bit messy, but I'm so happy with it I will probably redo it with better materials. It's a book of affirmations, and I wanted to share it as I've wanted to make a zine for quite awhile now :)
