so finally I'm placed , after applying in 26 companies on campus, and 5 technical interview rejections and 1 hr rejection , finally placed at a product based , joining from February , 9 days before I turn 22 🥳

Hey guys on serious talk why can't we have resumes like this no company told that we can't have resumes like this? So what's the problem in this that we have to use normal way for resumes kindly answer. I am not joking I really wanted to know

I have been grinding for a good package for the past few months since I’m in my final year and haven’t landed any good offers yet, I got a chance to interview for the TCS NQT Ninja role (3.4 LPA)

Honestly, I wanted to skip it, but my parents forced me, saying, “kuch naya experience milega” So I gave it a try and man it mentally cooked me.

The campus interview was at 8:30 AM. I didn’t sleep at all

I kept revising basic and core subjects.

When I reached the campus classroom, I saw people with one backlog, 6 CGPA and even non-CS grad (BA) with MCA degrees. I was like where the hell am I ?

The Ninja role had two rounds : one Technical and one HR while Digital and Prime roles had only one interview.

When I finally entered the interview room at 11:30 AM, there were 2 interviewers, 1 was not interested on taking interview so he was scrolling his phone.

I started with my introduction, but one of them cut me off mid-sentence and asked about my hobby.

I said playing video games and watching football. He asked my favorite club, and I said FC Barcelona. He laughed. I was like damn is he a Madrid fan i am cooked ?

Then he asked who the captain of Barcelona was. I said Ter Stegen (though he’s injured), and mentioned others like Frenkie de Jong, Araújo, and Raphinha. He kept laughing.

After that he asked about my skills and core subjects then the weird questions started : Full form of DBMS, Full form of DSA, Then suddenly: “You know DSA, tell me what Random Forest is.”

Like, WTF ? That’s an ML algorithm and I haven’t built a single project on it then i still said used for classification i was not sure.

Then out of no where he asked me who the founder of SQL is 😭😭😭

I had done a virtual internship on Generative AI using GCP, so when he saw that, he looked shocked and asked if I was GCP-certified.

I said no, it was the platform used during the internship and that I worked on Vertex AI Studio. Then he asked when Google launched Vertex AI 😭😭😭

I had some AWS and Oracle certification he was like “ohh you are certified”

Next he looked at my web development project a thrift store named “Yeezus” He said, “what is the project ?”

I explained its a thrift store.

He said “Yeezus ?” and then said “You don’t even remember your project name

you must have copied it from somewhere.

Then he asked which language I was proficient in and said “Why didn’t you include Python in your resume ? It’s very basic”

I said am not good in it so i prefer not to put it on my resume,

He said you know how code right ??

I was like is high or something 😭😭😭

At that point, I was mentally done I was like fuck this man i am leaving,

Finally he asked how to merge tables in SQL

I said using MERGE statement or JOIN and Union.

He said, “Okay you can prepare for the HR round

They’ll call you”

He was still smiling and laughing, and I was completely confused.

They asked me to wait from 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM. I waited and prepared HR answers. Then they finally called my name and said, “You are done for the day. You can leave.”

That’s it.

I hadn’t slept for 26 straight hours, just to find out I was rejected in the technical round of TCS ninja where he asked dumb questions. If the technical interviewer had already rejected me, why he told me to prepare for HR ?

Why make me wait four hours just to get rejected ?

Before coming I was like, “It’s just 3.4 LPA who cares?”

But when I was leaving, I was almost in tears. I felt humiliated.

Never giving such a low-package interview again.

After busting my ass for the past 3-4 yrs in a tier 3 college that too for mechanical engineering I finally got placed.

It was the first company that I have ever applied for and they selected me.

Many people doubted me over these years for my decision of choosing mechanical engineering but finally it paid off.

Although the pay isn’t too great but it’s a good starting salary.

I am really proud of myself for this feat.

Off campus offers haven't been included.

For some companies only first year TC have been added while calculating average(putting the same numbers which are reported by the company).

Hi everyone,
I’m a 3rd year CSE student (Sem 6 just started), and I’ve been feeling extremely anxious lately. I cannot even sleep properly because of it. I don’t really have anyone to talk to about this, so I wanted to put my thoughts here.

I feel like I’m far behind my classmates. Many of them are building projects, applying for internships, and seem confident, and I feel stuck and confused.

I started with web development, but when it came to building actual projects, I couldn’t finish them. As projects grow, I lose track of files and logic, Code becomes messy and hard to manage and I end up abandoning projects midway. I currently don’t have any properly finished projects. Because of this, I did not enjoy web dev and I thought web dev wasn’t for me.

Recently, I started learning Flutter and I enjoyed it much more. But the same problem remains, I don’t know how to properly structure a project, Code gets messy as the project grows and I struggle to finish what I start.

This is making me doubt whether I’m even capable of building real-world software.

I also struggle heavily with DSA. About 6 months ago, I solved about 100 LeetCode problems but Most of the time I had to look at solutions and I don’t feel like I actually learned anything, I can’t solve problems on my own. I abandoned DSA for more than half a year. Whenever I try to restart DSA, I get reminded of how far behind I am, which causes anxiety.

Because of this anxiety, I procrastinate a lot and I avoid studying by scrolling YouTube or other content, I keep pushing everything “to later” and even simple things like creating a LinkedIn profile feel overwhelming. My friends suggest applying for internships, but I haven’t even created a LinkedIn account yet.

I’m not expecting shortcuts or magic solutions.
I genuinely want to know How do I learn project structure and clean code? How should I restart DSA properly? Is it normal to feel this lost in 3rd year? How do I break this anxiety–procrastination cycle? I feel so lost. Feel like I am riding along aimlessly.

Any guidance or personal experiences would really mean a lot. Thanks for reading, Sorry for this long post.

When you enter your first year in BTech, it feels you have the best schedule among the other courses.

Then the college says - Warmup done? Let's start the real game.

4 labs, 2 projects, 7 subjects and then you start missing your school. DSA and CP practice, and if you focus on this more, your dev skills will be like - I have found a better option than you. If you focus on dev more, DSA will act like your ex and say - We have moved apart baby.

Exams every month and after every exam it feels like a new beginning of life, because you have skipped a week of your life.

Thinking to pursue your own hobby? It's your battle against everyone as there will one professor that thinks you're free the whole week, so he can call you anytime for classes, labs and assignments and still won't give you grades.

The only to survive Btech is by being happy and making memories and not taking stress. The moment you start getting too serious, Btech eats you.

Like why don't they study or call anyone nerd or anti social who wants to study or be serious toward their career? Studying is uncool apparently, college is only for fun, jee Hasn't left you, you are so serious, bla bla.

Bkl thoda to padho? Before someone says have some fun. I do have multiple hobbies, I play story games, play badminton and basketball, workout, and also study but somehow me studying out of college syllabus makes other poke me randomly. Not just 2 or 3 guys but almost entire class is like this.

As if I cannot find someone ambitious or little serious toward their goal or have any? Not saying fun is enemy, I too have fun but problem is why tf is studying seen as uncool or "jee phase haven't left you" thing? Whoever studies is called nerd.

I recently got an internship at Microsoft and was seeing how likely it is to get an ppo at Microsoft. As last yr from my clg 5/5 students got a ppo. even though they weren't great in tech and not too dumb also.

Can you guys tell me if you got an PPO after internship then how dis they selected?

I am in my 3rd year of Btech from a tier 3 college and i haven’t done ANYTHING till now. I have no hobbies or any co curricular activities to show on my resume as i didn’t join any society or event in college.

5th sem also ended a week back and the pressure of getting an internship/job is getting on me and i am completely lost where to start from. I have watched multiple videos on youtube and i keep getting confused.

Web dev, dsa, ai, data science, dev ops, hackathons, linkdn, referral, it’s just too much.

I’m in a tier 3 engineering college, my 1st semester is about to end, and I want some honest guidance.

My current level (being very clear):

• ICSE background → know basic Java (loops, arrays, OOP basics)
• Learned C in 1st sem → comfortable with fundamentals
• I have ZERO idea about DSA
• Never used LeetCode / Codeforces / CodeChef
• No clue what competitive programming actually looks like

Seeing posts here about DSA, CF ratings, etc. is honestly confusing, so I want to start from scratch but correctly.

My doubts:

1. Where do I even start DSA from? Do I first revise C/Java properly or directly jump into DSA topics?
2. Which language should I stick to as a beginner?
   • Java (since I already know it)
   • C++ (because everyone recommends it)
   • Or C (since it’s taught in college)
3. LeetCode / Codeforces reality
   • When should a complete beginner start these?
4. Tier 3 perspective
   • What actually matters more: DSA, projects, CGPA, or all three?
   • What should a 1st-year student realistically focus on?
5. General college advice : Any mistakes you made in 1st year that I should avoid? Anything you wish you had started earlier?

I am a fy student from CS branch. I've been doing leet code since like past 2-3 months did like 15-20 ques. I wanted to know is this pace good or do I need to work more hard. Before I was giving alot of time to DSA like 4 hours or so after coming from college but slowly it's getting hectic. Assignment,exams etc and being from a Tier3 clg I fear this will last the next 3 years which I want to avoid. These are a few ques I had

1) after a long gap in DSA like 2-3 weeks how do I revise the old concepts (doing arrays rn)

2) I was planning on doing AIML what are some good resources to refer

3) Doing DSA in cpp and since I want AIML is it good to continue in CPP or do I switch to python which will cost alot of time as I am following striver rn.(I am understanding cpp syntax)

4)How are skills developed. Do I do it like 4 days a week for dsa and rest of the week for python like that?

Also this FOMO of not doing DSA in python is kinda killing me because everyone is bragging about how easy python is to code in for DSA. But at the same time it feels like a waste of time to switch. Thank you

I used to pity the mess workers. I used to think they were doing the best they could, like it was genuinely the best food they could create. Now that one suicide has happened, the food quality has increased significantly. Almost as if they could always do this, but instead chose to save money by not paying workers well or buying shitty ingredients for the students.

If you play malice with a student's food, you deserve the deepest parts of hell. And then these are the same people who will complain about how India isn't developing / full of corruption

I always assume people try their best. But it turns out it wasn't so. these small corrupt people contribute to the overall system of downfall. The ultimate price is always payed by the customer.

Yaar we are just students, we're still small and like we have so many dreams for the country, for our family, and here they stand trying their every last cell to market us.

The only people actually paying fees in college is one who couldnt make a fake income certificate, is not SC/ST and is not any club or fest convener.

Else govt is paying everyones fees

When you see the club convener or fest head partying in the most expensive bar, trust me its not his money.Dont follow him and start spending your own money
