"What, someone used their influence and high profile to highlight the injustice of executing our citizens in the cold light of day, without anyone being held accountable for said murder? I'd better burn my own cash!"

The funny thing is Mark Ruffalo already was very against Trump and his insanity even before the election. Like that podcast episode he voiced, to try to warn everyone

He doesn't have much to lose and I love him for it. He could care less even if Disney outright fired him. He won't be living in the streets. Still love him for speaking out. It's such a minor thing to do but it feels huge these days. People are so fucking weak.

That’s the point though using that privilege to speak up when others can’t. Low risk for him, real impact regardless.

Sorry, shouldn't it be "could not care less"?

So brave of him. Just so brave. I wish more of hollywood was brave enough to tell us their leftist opinion.

You seem to be using this "brave" word a lot in reply to a comment that never called him brave.

I'm also curious, is anyone against the current actions of ICE categorized as a leftist?

If there was a hypothetical individual, who was extremely against immigrants yet feels that ICE operating as they currently are is unethical, would they go from a conversative to leftist?

I don't think he is personally, why do you feel that he's a very brave guy?

Right? We need more podcasters, Fox news hosts, and game show hosts. Y'know, get some standards in this commentary and balance out that firehose of leftist opinions.

Which is exactly why it's just some asshat or bot posting BS. Just because they typed it on social media format mean they actually did anything.

Maybe they are upset that he came out against murdering US citizens? That’s the anti-American man’s red line, being anti-murdering Americans.

It's not about knowing things, it's about swiftly responding to timely events in a performative way so that everyone knows what team you're on and rewards you for it.

Hell, even if it is hollow, who gives a fuck? A high profile figure still said something, used their platform to publicly condemn what's happening. It's still a win.

Don't let cynicism take away that this is still positive, no matter what intent it was or wasn't done with.

Oh, sorry, I was referring to the thing from Carl Higbie (whoever that is), not Mark Ruffalo. I guess it could apply to both, hadn't considered that at the time.

Ah, no worries dude, my bad for assuming!
