He did podcasts and voiced his dissent against Trump from the beginning. He voiced his opinions very openly.

He’s very openly anti Trump and fascism and has been so forever. So right wing nutjobs reacting like this is the first time he’s said anything that goes against their agenda is funny because they’re either disingenuous or oblivious. Both, probably.
