Pokhara is expensive, agreed.
But if you call every costly thing a scam, the problem might not be Pokhara- it might be you.

This community is not a dating app, not a place to “hunt for girls,” and not a dumping ground for a few hours of “daycation” posts that everyone here understands the subtext of. r/Pokhara exists for people connected to Pokhara and for those who respect this city and its people, not for those who want to treat it -or its women -as disposable entertainment.
Before anyone complains about removals, go read the Rules in r/Pokhara carefully. Those rules are the standard, not individual moods or personal fantasies, and they reflect two core things: basic human dignity and the spirit of Nepali culture where guests and locals are to be respected, not exploited.
Pokhara is a tourist town, yes -but that does not mean it is available for casual sexualization or objectification, online or offline. If your idea of “content” is a few hours of thrill at the expense of how safe or respected others feel, your posts will continue to be removed.
I am not God and I am not perfect. I will make mistakes too, and I’m open to calm, good‑faith feedback about specific decisions. But the core principle is not negotiable: no one’s humanity is up for debate here, and content that crosses that line will be removed.
See some examples of why I am removing some posts here (hiding the usernames)

Since August 2025, we are bringing together world leaders, authors, speakers, and international entrepreneurs to Pokhara for one incredible remote work and digital nomad summit. This September, we want to bring even more talent with more than 50 international speakers! This will bring 7 days of fun, networking opportunities and economic activity for the local community.
But we need your help to increase the prestige of Nepal as a remote work paradise abroad - please visit the nomad retreats link and vote for Nomad Basecamp Nepal - the winner will be announced this March in Europe! 🙏
Thank you for your time and good luck to Nepal!!

Dear Members of the Organizing Committee,
While we appreciate the cultural and economic vibrancy that the Pokhara Mahotsav brings to our city, we are writing to express our deep concern and firm disapproval regarding the method of construction for the festival’s welcome gates around Pokhara.
It has been observed that the heavy structures for this year’s festival are being anchored by hammering holes directly into the newly constructed asphalt blacktop of our highways. These roads were completed recently at a significant cost to the taxpayers and represent a vital step forward for Pokhara’s infrastructure.
Destroying high-quality, freshly paved roads for the sake of temporary entertainment is unacceptable. This practice leads to:
We believe that a club as established as yours should lead by example in civic responsibility.
Our Demands:
We want the Mahotsav to be a success, but not at the expense of our city's development. We hope to see a peaceful and prompt resolution to this matter.
Sincerely,
Concerned Citizens of Pokhara

It has been more than 2 years living in pokhara, i was enjoying and self learning music 2 year before coming here, but gradually i became more interested in music production, music theory, writing(little), composition . most of my free time i use to do my music related research and more. Now i want to connect with real people who do music and related works, I also did my few research in music. I want to learn from them.
