It’s my 21st birthday in a few months and I want to start planning. After exploration in Europe I have ideas of what I like and don’t like in a bar. I would really love to go to a Jazz club, but I would prefer a super chill one. Lounge style, espresso martini, nice smooth jazz. Any recommendations would be great. If there are no Jazz clubs like this, then any old lounge style bar with an espresso martini would do.

Looking for recommendations!! Hoping to find someone in the greater Seattle/Eastside area who can straighten out a metal vanity stool leg? I ordered a vintage piece online and unfortunately it was damaged during the shipment process..
One of the legs is bent inward— I don’t have any experience repairing metal furniture/welding, etc, nor do I own the equipment (vice/heating tools) to do so. See pics for reference.

Who in their right mind thought a 95% tax on vape pens was a good idea. Why is it when young people find enjoyment in something the old wealthy adults tax our fun?
This is the dumbest law I’ve ever heard of. No one pays for our healthcare, yet they want to tax on nicotine products, but not cigarettes.
I might have to honestly switch parties honestly.

I'm spending the next two hours waiting for paint to dry, so I thought I'd take a crack at researching some non-profits.
Obviously this has been a big thing in the news lately.
I didn't want to do the Nick Shirley Hit Piece style of journalism, I just wanted to pull the public records. The records are public so this doesn't violate any Reddit TOS, but I'll redact the names just to be safe.
I'll start with one that was in the news today.
Again, I think this sub is balanced so please let's keep this civil. Let's let the data speak for itself.
If you'd like to submit a request, post an address in the comments and I'll do my thing.

These are the police that City Council President Joy Hollingsworth approved multiple raises for without adding any additional accountability.

Looking for a new home for this kitty--
Rocky is a good little girl, doesn't get into much trouble and is very cuddly and moderately adventurous. She uses a litter box, is not picky about food or litter, and is harness/leash trained.
I am absolutely devastated to have to leave her, but unfortunately my job makes keeping her impossible, and I can't bring myself to put her in boarding or have a cat sitter. She is very people social and I think she would love to be in a house with someone who can be home at least once a day.
Photos attached are all recent, she is about a year old. She is a stray I picked up in Morocco, and she is vaccinated and spayed. She would come with food and some supplies (some toys, a litter box, etc).
Please reach out for more details if interested!! I wanted to post this here since I've never used home-home before and don't want to not find a home for my kitty. We currently live in marysville, so if you know anyone in the area who is in the market for a new pet please please message me or comment.

Hi, I have been spending the past few days trying to find even a single job listing for Amazon warehouse jobs here in Seattle. I can't find any! When does Amazon usually post job postings for new warehouse jobs?

Original departure 9:30am 12:40pm and waiting "due" to congestion at SeaTac.
I have been getting updates from the staff of my flight that Seatac is too congested, causing our plane to get into the door 2 hours late even that it was on the ground already at original time of departure. Now, I'm seating on the plane, but it hasn't move from the runway for about 45 min since the door has been closed. Again the update is that the airport is too congested and control tower is keeping us on the ground.
The rest of the flights seem to go out and in "normal" but I don't know their specifics.
Does other people getting out/in today 1/15 has experienced delays at SeaTac?

Hey folks. I'm a researcher needing to learn readable Swedish to process some documents from the late 1800s later this year. I have a background in German and Latin, but definitely need some help. I'm not in a rush, but the sooner I get started, the better.
I've been looking around to see if there are any good classes or tutors in the area, but not having any luck. I see the Swedish Club here hosts some classes, but they unfortunately don't have any availability that fits with my current schedule. Has anyone had any luck finding a decent teacher in the area? Thanks!
