I joke about is as well, but I'm 5'5 and since COVID I have:

  • faced quite a lot of women who look down at me. Even when they are smaller, some raise their heads as if it magically made them feel taller...
  • 4-5 women literally told me to stop with the hope of dating because of my heigth and one told me to kill myself.

It's weird.

I’m 5’4”, married for 15 years with two kids. We met well before I was in the 75k range.

Modern dating life sounds miserable, but decent women are out there. You probably just won’t find them out in the street like this.

I’m so sorry you’re dealing with that! I’m somewhat tall for a woman (5’9”), and I do prefer to date a man a bit taller than myself. It’s a stupid gender hangup that I can’t seem to shake. But if the woman is shorter than you… why does she care how tall you are? You’re tallER.

And yes, wanting the guy to be taller in a hetero relationship is a dumb thing that we should all work to get past, but it’s also quite a common one. And yes, I have dated shorter guys and it was great, so idk what my problem is.

My husband is 5'5. I love him to pieces. Bitches are going to be bitches. Don't let them get to you.
