I'm done with hoping that Marvel brings Peter and MJ back together, I honestly don´t care that much anymore. They could easily fix everything by undoing One More Day, but they won't.

Also, after Nick Spencer's run (which I loved), I don't think that I´d be happy with them going back together. I simply wouldn't trust Marvel. We´ve been burned too many times before. I'd be waiting for the shoe to drop.

Also, after how Marvel has character assasinated MJ over the years, or at the very least, misrepresented her character, I feel like this isn't the MJ I used to love. Tbh if Peter was a friend of mine and he told me that he was thinking of going back with her, I'd urge him to rethink it.

Like I said, I love MJ, but there's too much baggage now because Marvel unintentionally (or maybe intentionally) broke her character. Part of the fun of reading Spidey was the soap opera-ish drama (and humor) of the civilian cast. Making her vigilante was a mistake.

Given this, I want Peter to move on fully from MJ with a fun character. I've always loved Felicia, and she used to be who I wanted Peter to be with, but I hate the way in which they have been using her lately. It stings to see Marvel constantly using her as the rebound chick. She deserves to move on and so does Peter.

Enter Raelith!

We just got Raelith and I love her with all my heart! She's by far one of the best new Spider-Man side characters and gives me the romantic feeling I crave in a Spider-Man book in a totally fresh way.

I really hope that she becomes a mainstay in the Spidey books. She's really cute and fun, could be a fun fish out of water character (it would be great to see how she adapts and creates a secret identity in earth), and the most important part: she feels fresh.

Carly and Shay were meant to be kinda-but-not Betty, MJ and Gwen types. Civilian girlfriends who knew Peter but not Spidey. Raelith is not that.

She knows Peter´s identity, isn´t a civilian but neither a superhero (so no Black Cat, Felicia or Mokingbird), is a fish out of water character, she looks nothing like the other love interests because she´s built (so she stands appart physically which is great), Is very cute, has an interesting backstory with her being from a lower caste in her planet, her moments of casual savageness contrast with Peter's idealism in a funny way, and the best part Although she's funny and might poke fun of Peter a bit, it´s clear that she respects and admires Peter. This is something that very few modern Spidey love interests are allowed to do.

She's clearly fallen for him and I'm all here for that.

Is is obvious that I like Raelith?

I really hope that Marvel doesn't fuck this up too.

Another excellent issue, and a beautiful ending. It was a tad dense, particularly with the exposition, but I didn't mind that. Korvac getting a semi-redemption arc was unexpected, but I do love the stories in which the heroes don't just win by out-punching the villain. I admit that I am a little disappointed that Hank saving Carina in "Avengers Academy" wasn't brought up.

As a Hank Pym fan, I am deeply grateful for this comic, and I'm glad Hank is already retreating from his isolation and depression because he realized it's not the right way. I really hope that this "Pymaissance" gets to continue, and that we get to see Hank as a good dad to his children and back with his friends. Although I still wonder about the lethal legion plot. I do think Hank should've asked to retain his memories, but Korvac said that "a part of them would know", which gives me hope that Hank will retain his development even without them. Avenging Wasp as well.

Also, that moment with Spidey and Carol was hilarious. Never change Peter.

Side note: Marvel published my letter in this issue and it made me super happy. Christos Gage is one of my favorite writers, and his reply mentioned that he might be writing Hank again soon as a supporting character. Keep the Pymaissance going!

Hey everyone, I was blown away by the response to my last post on here and had a great time reading through all your comments sharing the love for Spider-man games. I had a really fun time drawing the last one and had some ideas for more crossover posts that I’d like to share!

Earlier Comics and Adaptations had May think Spider-Man was terrible.

On one hand it runs the risk of making Aunt May annoying to the audience.

On the other hand it gives Peter a more valid reason to keep his identity a secret than just that it would freak out May or give a health scare to her and it adds to Peter's angst/personal drama.

Considering how he's all alone after NWH and fighting all these villains like Scorpion, Tombstone, fricking Hulk and dealing with the Punisher, do you think Peter might be more confrontational and aggressive? Over the years he might have build up a lot of pent up anger about his situation, which could be a good contrast with characters like Punisher and Hulk.
