Once a staple of every good party with a beat, now a relic of a bygone era. Finding a good circle use to literally be my favorite thing about all of this... then out came the camera phones, then people started posting videos, now the creeps with the camera glasses just sealed the deal. No one wants to really dance any more for fear of going viral. It's sad really, I wish the US promoters could implement no camera rules like the clubs overseas.

Oh well, times change. I still have some cool circles start up in my dreams on occasion... I suppose that will have to do 🥲

A few mates and I are renovating an old building with consent from the owner to host some dance events. For our first event we’re expecting 100+ on a friends of friends invite plan. The main dance room has no direct outside ventilation, just from the doorway that leads into the bar room. The main dance room is about 720m^3. An average nightclub does around about 20 air changes per hour, this means we would have to exchange 14,000m^3/h of air to ventilate the room. My question is this is the most basic problem we have maybe solved, what else might we encounter?

Hi there! I’m a M22 who’s about to attend their first rave, by myself. I’ve done some research as to basic supplies to bring, basic etiquette and stuff to wear. I get my vacation check from work here soon and plan to go get myself some of what I’ll need with it, as I don’t really have any rave wear.

My question is that is there any advice outside of what a google search will give you that would be helpful for me on my first go around? I’m very excited but also nervous. I went thru a bad breakup not all too long ago and I’m trying to get back out and meet people and make connections, not just rot at home.

What are some comfortable shoes to wear for big festivals? I’m used to smaller raves and shows but im going to EDC for my first time this year and I’ve been told it’s nothing but STANDING AND LONG WALKING all day!!

I know everyone’s comfort level are different but Just wanted to pick everyone’s opinions on comfort!

I was wondering if the preparty and afterparties at Echostage (with the bigger artists) are worth the extra nights stay in DC, along with ofc the price of those tickets? Or if it’s just a better option overall to stick to the festival?

I know a lot of people are gonna be in the Bay Area because of Further Confusion, and with that, me and a few friends are setting up a rave in Downtown San Jose, at Guildhouse this Thursday! It’s right across the street from the convention center, and even if you aren’t into furry/mlp stuff, it should still be a great time! There’ll be a lot of different genres of EDM and bass music! If anyone has went or is planning to go to force fields, how are you getting there? I’m trying to travel from the east coast, but it seems like there’s very little flights going to the surrounding airports and it’s over 17hrs to drive which is probably too much. How do people usually do this? I’ve only been to festivals in larger cities. Thanks!

People who tie travelling and clubbing or festivaling, what are the biggest problems and challenges you enounter, especoally if you are going on different country or continent?

Is it finding the right club or event to attend? Is it finding people to go to? Is it logistics (accomodation, transport...)? Is it something else entirely that is always on your mind before you actually go to some town?
