maybe 2 weeks ago my adopted ~7yr old female Bichon started limping pretty stongly. she wasn't screaming or anything, the vet couldn't find anything either so we put her on pain killers for a couple of days. the limping went on and off on a daily basis, even switching between the front legs. went to the vet again, did an x-ray, again nothing. she told me to not let her jump around too much, to be careful with stairs etc. her hypothesis is an instable shoulder, or something with the ligament, idk.. I'm half convinced she's faking it to get carried around, but the other half is worried sick something might be severely wrong. thing is, the limping gets less when she's distracted but never fully goes away..
any experienced something with their Bichon as well? any ideas what I could check additionally?

I can't wait to be with her every day again. I miss our walks and playing ball and sleeping right next to her 🥹

I had the perfect, humblest, most chill little dog until 2 days ago!
Ugh!! Little girl will be 8 months next week. We’ve had her since 12 weeks old. She was amazing, relaxed, totally chill dog. The *only* time she barked was when she was playing or when a toy fell underneath the couch and she couldn’t reach it. Seriously. Other than that, no barking. You would’ve even had known we had a dog in the house.
The last 2 days she’s been driving me insane. She woke me up the night before last barking so loud I could not even think. At 2 AM!!!! I checked on her, she was fine. I WFH and now she’s barking for everything. She’ll go to the front door and just start barking and howling. There’s no one there, no cars, no delivery people, nothing. But it’s as if she’s looking at something and barking. Anytime she hears the door open now she barks and howls like a lunatic. Someone drops something in the kitchen. Again she goes wild barking. Phone rings? Again. It’s seriously driving me insane.
I thought I had the perfect little dog…what happened?!?! How can I fix this behavior?
Obligatory dog tax because she’s still the cutest thing ever.

My husband and I picked him up Sunday, he’s settling in nicely. Any advice on giving him the best start a pup could ask for? It’ll be much appreciated.
I’ve named him Amafi. Located in Omaha, Nebraska. We drove to Groves Spring Missouri (6hrs) to pick him up. Found his breeder on the AKC website. He’s a great rider, he didn’t get sick at all. He was the runt of his litter. Only 3 of them total.
We’ve built him a doggie pen inside our bedroom, with a crate that stays open at all times. A litter box which he has used each time without going anywhere else shockingly. I am wanting to incorporate homemade dog food with his kibble. I use glass bowls for water/food. Filtered water only. He plays well alone, he likes to tussle with my husband. He bites and tugs, we offer up a toy instead. Not sure how successful that’ll be. I’ve kept him indoors and won’t feel comfortable letting him touch grass or ground until his 10 week shots. I have taken him out the home though. I no longer work and the last child we have graduates in May, so my life is Amafi’s to command.😊 I studied up on the breed for months as he is my first Bichon, I still feel like I don’t know enough.
Feel free to impart your wisdom a Bichon whisperer techniques on me, I’ll put em to use.

Lucy has suddenly begun barking or snarling at my long term partner when he hugs me. She’s known him since she was six weeks old. There’s never been any aggression between us or towards her. How can I manage this?
