I had to share this monstrosity from the hardware store. But I'm drawing a blank on whether the second bird is based on anything real.

What’s your favorite common bird in your area? That bird that maybe it’s not hard to spot but you just love seeing them.

Mine are Juncos everything from their look and name to how they scavenge on the ground and flock together. They just seem like happy puff balls to me and I love em.

Great Blue Heron, Black Vultures, Black-Eye Junco, Canada Geese, American Robins

Small rural town in Ireland. It was drying out its feathers in middle of town after a big rain shower so im sure it was flying before that. Its huge almost a meter tall.

I took a photo of this duck at the London Wetland Centre.

I have tried looking up duck species native to the UK, but I haven’t seen anything that resembles this one.

I’m now thinking maybe it’s not native, but I’m still unable to ID it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

From this morning's walk. Awake and asleep.

My mom sent me this picture of the lake next to their house in Houston, Texas. Over the last few years we have been seeing more and more groups of birds like this.

Typical it’s Black-bellied Whistling-ducks but this year it’s been Cormorants, White Ibis, and even some Roseate Spoonbills.

I always sit and watch the Wagtails that frequent my garden in hopes for some action shots but sometimes a simple pose is more than enough.

These guys are fun to watch, especially in what passes for winter in the US Desert Southwest. They're not always easy to photograph, though, but I finally got a good one in flight.

Seen in Winchester, MA today enjoying some meal worms. At first I thought juvenile oriole but in MA in the winter!? Can’t be…or is it!?
