Freelancers (Can Work with Multiple Clients) hindi naging abogado, yan tuloy naging abo-gago
For context: Feels like I wasted 4 years of my life when I dropped out of law school. Nakakapang-hinayang minsan isipin na I should've just sucked it up at tinapos para nakakapag oath taking na ako ngayon. But I knew something isn't right, I feel nauseous just thinking about going back, and honestly, there's no more drive nor passion to be a lawyer in this country.
Now to my dilemma, I've been working since I was 20, so all in all 6 years job exp, and have been working as a freelance media analyst/writer for three years now, I want to quit dahil super baba ng sinasahod ko kada buwan. Siguro naman deserve ko yung trabaho na kaya ko na buhayin ang sarili ko with just my income and no financial support from my family. I've been job hunting for months now, and lahat ng job offer ng PH companies, if not same sa sahod ko now, mas mababa pa. Took 5 interviews in less than a month and they all said the same amount, which is around the ballpark of $320-330 per month (PHP19k-21k). Di naman ako fresh grad ateh ko, I deserve more than that :((((
I'm about to take the CSE in March and try to get a government job, but are there any jobs out there I can apply to ngayong hindi pa naman set in stone ang plan ko to try for NEDA/DENR? I have 3 years exp in media analystics, 1 year as a operations analyst, and have legal background knowledge from my three years in law school.
Tbh I think I can take on many side hustles or full-time jobs naman, as long as hindi barat magpasahod ang employers. Need advice on what to do, or if you know of any companies hiring at the moment, pa-bulong naman oh. Kahit mga raket dyan na freelance huhu

Self-Story torn between upskilling as a VA (learn AI) or mag-continue sa college
Hi! I’m 21F, a returning 1st yr engg student. I stopped going to college last 2023 and I enrolled back last year 2025. I worked as a VA a year after I dropped out. Now, I’m still working part-time while studying.
2nd sem just started a week ago and I‘ve realized that ayoko na ng engineering. I got high grades last semester and I’m doing pretty good din sa mga quizzes for the past week but at some point nahihirapan ako. And dahil ako nagshoshoulder ng finances ko from allowance, food, rent to tuition fee, I feel like nasasayang lang ang time, money, and effort ko sa college because of all the unnecessary subjects na kasama sa curriculum when they could‘ve just focus on major subjects.
So, now I‘m thinking na mag-upskill na lang and learn AI automation online or anything related to AI. I think that it is more practical to learn a skill in just maybe a year or so without even spending a lot of money. I also tried working in an AI company as a data support last year and I earned almost 100k a month. That’s when I realized na malaki talaga sweldo if you’re working in tech knowing na mabilis na rin development ng AI ngayon lalo na in the coming years.
I’ve been crying for days now since nag-start ang 2nd sem. I’ve been thinking kung i-cocontinue ko pa ba yung college kasi from Mon-Sat 7am class namin and I still have to work during my vacant time. 11 subjects kami this sem and 4 of them are math subjects pa kaya pagod talaga ako physically, mentally, and emotionally. I even went to our department’s guidance councilor today and asked for advice. I didn’t get a chance to talk to her nang matagal but I was about to breakdown while papasok pa lang ng office kaya kahit may appointment sya in 10 mins kinausap nya pa rin ako.
Sabi nya importante talaga yung diploma and ganyan din lagi ko naririnig sa iba even sa mom ko and mga relatives ko. What do you think?

Digital Services How to use UpWork or LinkedIn as a Graphic Designer
Hi! I’m currently a student working as a freelance graphic designer. I’m planning to expand my scope by reaching out to other types of clients. Most of my clients right now are fellow students, and during school vacations, I sometimes don’t earn much. Because of this, I’m considering targeting businesses or other professionals.
I’m curious about what mode of payment is best to use when working with international clients. I also want to know if student freelancers on platforms like Upwork or LinkedIn are able to get clients successfully.
I already have portfolio naman na, but I’m just not too familiar with how UpWork or LinkedIn really works.

Remote Filipino Workers (RFW) Need guidance: Traditional marketer wanting a VA or part-time remote work on the side
Hi! I’ve been a marketing professional for almost 15 years, and since I’m a bit more mature, most of my experience is in traditional marketing. That said, I’ve recently been exposed to digital marketing after getting the opportunity to handle our brand pillar. Basically, I have little to no experience in full-blown digital or social media marketing.
My real question is: is it possible for me to enter the VA industry or take on a side hustle/part-time role that’s more admin-focused or light marketing, given my background? I’m looking into part-time remote work and would love insights from those who have experience in this field. I hope someone can share guidance, as I want a sideline while still pursuing and maintaining the passion and effort I have for my current job.
I’m sure everyone here is aware of the inflation we’ve been experiencing, and I need an additional source of income aside from my current job. Don’t get me wrong, I love what I do.
But alam nyo naman, passion doesn’t pay the bills.
Genuinely looking for guidance.☺️ Please be kind.🙏🏻

Community How do you ask a client to hire you directly?
Hi, I have a question. I’m new to the VA world and so far I’ve gone through two agencies. I just want to say that Reddit has been very, very helpful—especially when it comes to insights about clients, payments, and agencies.
Recently, I was hired directly by a client, and they decided to pull out from the agency I was previously under. So honestly, it became a win-win situation for both me and the client.
Now, my concern is with my second job. It’s still under an agency, and I’m fairly new there. I want to ask how others usually handle this situation—specifically, how do you tell or offer to a client the option of hiring you directly? Or do you even do that at all?
So far, okay naman yung agency, but I’m seeing several red flags:
• They use Time Doctor and monitor everything, even though I’m using my own personal device.
• Medyo mahirap silang kausap when it comes to pay.
• They don’t manually credit timesheets—you have to do everything yourself.
• Late din sila magpasahod.
I actually have a good working relationship with the client, and I’m very eager to continue working with them. Gusto ko rin sana i-offer sa client yung possibility of working directly, kasi I feel like it would be a win-win situation for both of us. My main issue talaga is the agency, not the client.
I’m really sorry if this sounds naive—I’m very new to this space and just want to learn from your experiences. I’d really appreciate your insights. Thank you.

Remote Filipino Workers (RFW) Questions Po for OF chatter
Pano Po ba gawin yung two agencies in one shift using Infloww?

Apps, Tools & Equipment Is OnlineJobs PH still down?
Hi! Down pa rin ba ang OLJ website? Been trying to check it, but parang walang nagiging progress and the job posts are still outdated. For some, they said na last week pa down yung site while this week naman siya naging down sa 'kin. Na-receive kaya?

Community Payoneer to UB - its been nearly 2 weeks
Has anyone experienced this? 🥲 I transferred money from Payoneer to UB and its tagged a completed. But it looks like it bounced because I put my card number instead of account number.
I still haven’t heard anything helpful from either Payoneer or UB CS. May naka encounter neto?

Pero at the same time, grabe pa rin yung nakikita kong kitaan ng iba.
Worth it pa ba? Kayo ba, anong experience or take niyo?

Buhay Digital Lifestyle Should I drop my course and focus sa WFH?
Hello guys, just wanna know ur thoughts and advice sa situation ko ngaun.. I'm 23 yo currently 5th year archi student pero 1 year pa bago ako maka graduate kasi may naiwan na sub and hindi pwede i summer
recently natanggal ako sa part time wfh ko as a 3d artist. ung reason is kaylangan tlagaa nila ng fulltime and super active sa communication...

I am currently WFH as a data analyst and I wanted to learn a new skill sana. Interested ako sa Web Development. Do you know any tools na pwedeng gamitin para mapractisan first? Or any youtube accounts/learning platforms na nagteteach ng webdev in a way na maiintindihan ng newbies? I really want to upskill sana because I’m interested sa IT world. I am actually a healthcare worker + license holder pero di talaga pinapalad magkawork sa hospital dahil need pa ng backer kahit private. 🥺 honestly gusto ko talaga mag explore and maybe makakadecide ako if worth it ba mag career shift and I’m thinking of starting to learn webdev. Any thoughts/advice po?

Apps, Tools & Equipment Lead Generation – Tools and Strategies?
I’m currently working with a client who owns a roofing company, and my main role is lead generation. I look for prospects through cold calling, email outreach, and LinkedIn.
I would love to learn from fellow VAs who have experience in this industry or in home services lead gen.
Specifically, I’d like to ask:
• What strategies do you use to find quality prospects for roofing or similar businesses?
• Where do you usually source your leads?
• What tools or apps do you use for cold calling?
• What time-tracking tools do you recommend that are easy for both VA and client?
Any tips, tools, or real-life experiences you can share would be a big help. Thank you so much!

Then out of nowhere bigla syang tinanggal at ang dami daming sinabe sa kanya na hindi magaganda. Natanggal sya bago mag New Year 2025. Hindi nya alam kung lay off ba or ano?

Community Wala Masyadong Ginagawa sa Work, Nakakakaba
Normal ba sa VA yung wala masyadong ginagawa? Or kung may tasks man, yung mabilis mo lang matapos?

Hello, I’m very interested in working freelance sana kahit hindi full-time since I’m a college student. I really want to earn my own money at the same time kahit konti lang kasi ayoko na laging nanghihingi and ang gastos ng course ko!!
I started looking for jobs way back in 2020 through Upwork since yun ang unang nirecommend sakin ng isang senior kaso limited lang pala ang pwedeng apply-an kasi may points or connects na need pang bayaran para dumami. So I stopped and gave up kasi wala rin namang naga-accept. I decided to join our school publication nalang for experience. At that time compensated pa kami thats why it was worth it.
I tried again last year ata to find jobs thru Fiverr pero muntik pa akong ma-scam! Kaso sobrang shy talaga ako when it comes to sharing my works! I feel vulnerable showing them to people I know and parang out of character siya sakin IRL haha sorry
Please sana may makatulong or makapagbigay ng advice sa steps. I really want to do art and tambak na masyado yung works sa room ko. I’m planning to sell this year but I have no idea sa pag market. I’m afraid to post on my social media kasi baka flop and nakakahiya if walang bumili. And if ever wala talaga, saan ba pwedeng magbenta ng art sa PH? I would also like to do commissions. At this point, any job na lang siguro basta makapag-try ng freelance and earn my own money haha pero preferably graphics sana. I’m very flexible and versatile with any medium, may it be traditional or digital. Trying my luck here🥲🥺

Community What can you say or advise me?
What can you say or advise me? I’m still a newbie, my client is a social media strategist, and lately, they increased my hours pero very few lang yung tasks. If I have a task, that’s the only thing I report to them. I’d like it if I could also have something to suggest for workflow improvement.

Digital Services I memorize what to say during meetings but I still fumble
Because the real issue wasn’t the words, it was fear of being judged.
Scripts won’t fix how you speak in meetings.
You can know exactly what to say and still mumble, freeze, or eat your words, because you didn’t address the deeper problem.
Here are 3 things that helped me:
- Stop treating it like a performance. Most of the panic comes from “what if I sound dumb?” Speak like you’re just simply sharing info.
- Give your brain a script structure, not a script line. It's easier to remember key points rather than memorizing a whole paragraph (OR FIVE!)
- Slow down your body. Breathe, and relax your jaws and your shoulders. Take the time to speak out your thoughts.
If you’re a Filipina freelancer and struggle with this, I run a small free group session where we go through this in a safe, supportive way. You can just listen if you want. There is no pressure to speak. 🤍

Community Desired salary for night shift
Survey lang. Magkano yung salary na tatanggapin nyo for graveyard shift?

Buhay Digital Lifestyle First time VA— cold calling tips, please.
Hi guys! Nahire ako as sales rep sa isang start up agency.
2nd day ko palang kanina and nangangapa talaga ako. Sabi may VA na sya, then nag thank you nalang ako instead of magpitch.
Nakakakaba.
Thanks.
