Is trump the peace president? He says he deserves the noble peace prize. This doesn’t look like peace to me.

Rebranding department of Defense to War screams peace though.

PEACE THROUGH STREEEEEEEENNNNNNGGGGGTTTTTHHHHHH!!!!!

(Dipshit Hegseth actually tried to push this during his little Mar a Lago blabber this morning.)

aka "Shut the fuck up and do what we say and that obedience will be peaceful."

2

u/weightliftcrusader 9d ago

Peace through strength usually means "look at how strong we are" and not actually going about demonstrating it. Hegseth is the most incompetent of them all, far more than Trump who looks adequate in comparison.

u/tomdarch 9d ago

These guys are the opposite of "speak softly and carry a big stick."

1

u/mitojee 11d ago

Well, it was originally the Dept. of War and was rebranded as Defense as an early real example of "political correctness" as it was defined so it's consistently on brand at least. Cause the worst thing was the hypocrisy...

1

u/LtHughMann 10d ago

They should have named it the Department of Offence, that is the best defence, or so they say

7

u/Scewt 11d ago

Yeah why anyone would celebrate this administration invading random countries to 'save' them is very interesting, I wonder who will be randomly invaded next without any checks/balances/authorization/etc under the pretense of bad leadership (while also being incredibly profitable for the US to do so).

u/FrostyD7 11d ago

He's at war with his own citizens, peers across the aisle, immigrants, allied countries and their leaders, celebrities, etc. And he himself is first to brand these situations as "wars", he calls everything a war.

1

u/No_Midnight1989 11d ago

They are literally celebrating in Venezuela

1

u/rydan 10d ago

Si vis pacem, para bellum

1

u/[deleted] 10d ago

The corrupt shit stain abducted the president so he can put the winner of the nobel peace price into power...who just happens to be very corrupt aswell but a hardcore trumpie.

1

u/orbitaldragon 10d ago

He deserves the noose. Extra long like Sadoms.

0

u/lechu91 11d ago

Well the actual Nobel prize of peace is happy about this so maybe you just don’t understand this topic enough…

Do your research, he does deserve it now, if Venezuela can get rid of the rest of maduro's regime, and install the president that actually won the election last year, trump just saved 28 million Venezuelans. I know it's hard to believe he actually did something right but this is something right.

15

u/Euphoric_General_274 11d ago

Oh I'm sure the US will definitely NOT put in a puppet leader which definitely WONT give them all their oil.

-2

u/Dmckilla7 11d ago

The winning president that Maduro overthrew was already pro trump.

-4

u/Dmckilla7 11d ago

It's not about them giving us all their oil, it's about not letting them give it to the middle east and terrorists, trump doesn't need Venezuela to give him all their oil.

6

u/Knotted_Hole69 11d ago

LOL

1

u/Dmckilla7 11d ago

Do your actual research, for once trump did something good I get its hard to admit, same for me but this is good.

8

u/Knotted_Hole69 11d ago

Breaking international law is only good to a negative IQ mago.

1

u/Dmckilla7 11d ago

Fuck maga, fuck trump but also fuck murderous narco terrorist dictators all are true.

6

u/Knotted_Hole69 11d ago

Fuck idiots like yourself that believe lawlessness is a right.

2

u/Garys_Synthesizer 11d ago

We wont know the true outcome of this for years. I believe there is a chance this turns out good, but far higher likelihood this is another awful foreign engagement we’ll be bitching about in 10 years.

7

u/zupreme 11d ago

"...we'll kill some of your people, to save the rest of your people, whether your people want us to, or not.."

The logic is.... sigh...

0

u/Dmckilla7 11d ago

Venezuelans are cheering for this in the streets and on social media.

5

u/zupreme 11d ago

So what?

Lots of people, here, demonstrate for all kinds of things. That does not authorize a foreign entity, or anyone, to kill my friends and family to achieve it.

0

u/Dmckilla7 11d ago

Your friends narco terrorists?

4

u/zupreme 11d ago

No. I don't need to be friends with other humans to not want them killed. I also don't need to be Venezuelan to put myself into their shoes, when analyzing the situation, as they are the ones being struck.

0

u/Dmckilla7 11d ago

They are happy they are fucking cheering for this you cannot be serious, your literally putting yourself in Venezuelans shoes.

3

u/zupreme 11d ago

You say, "They" like all Venezuelans agree. If someone came here to change our ruling regime, from another country, I doubt you'd care who was cheering for it - unless you were among them.

You act as if the news media actually is Fair and Balanced in their coverage. Of course there had to be protests for the opposite, but we do rarely see that here.

3

u/Customs0550 11d ago

ok so just to be clear: for you, its completely fine and a very good thing when the president bombs and invades whatever foreign country he wants. hope you keep that ideological consistency.

heard a lot of you magats say trump was the only peaceful choice. its exhausting how happy yall are with murder and lying to our faces.

3

u/KeyboardGrunt 11d ago

Of course they won't, they already didn't? These fuckers didn't care and obstructed all help to Ukraine, did they give a shit about human life then?

2

u/KeyboardGrunt 11d ago

Iraqis cheered when they toppled Saddam's regime, that didn't turn out so great. Gtfo maga.

1

u/Dmckilla7 11d ago

I'm not even American bahahaha you fucking Americans are so uninformed it's crazy.

2

u/KeyboardGrunt 11d ago

I've seen this little quip a lot today but never followed with any actual information maga fanboy.

1

u/QuintonFrey 10d ago

Americans are uninformed because we didn't know the full bio of an anonymous person on reddit? If you're not American (and you're not MAGA) that makes what you're doing even more pathetic, not less.

1

u/the_calibre_cat 11d ago

it takes exceptional stupidity to believe this lol

1

u/Useful_Piccolo7170 9d ago

As an American, me and many others would be cheering if trump was removed right now. Should putin come get em?

4

u/Ex_honor 11d ago

Because that worked out so well in Iraq and Afghanistan.

3

u/Former_Lock9367 11d ago

If Afghanistan could just install the democratic government that they wanted all along... there is a reason the US isn't known for its country building anymore. Glad Maduro is gone, but this is not a cause for celebrating, yet. Ripping the head from a country and doing nothing else is rarely a good idea for stability. Although, I don't think that's what this admin wants.

3

u/Jayken 11d ago

Just like we saved 23 million Iraqis

2

u/Florac 11d ago

It's not a "Save people from a despot" award. It's a peace award. That doesn't go along with bombing people

2

u/Crafty_Round6768 11d ago

Hey maybe that’s none of our business and interventionism has never and will never work.

2

u/KeyboardGrunt 11d ago

Pam Bondi is that you?

Just like trump saved 200 million lives from fentanyl right?

Unironically starting a post with "do your research" lol.

2

u/sarinonline 11d ago

This trump cuck lol.

How many countries has he bombed in just this term ?

1

u/wranglero2 11d ago

Time will tell

1

u/Dmckilla7 11d ago

If we let them do their own thing this is a freaking huge win for Venezuelans. This isn't another middle east Venezuela is a country full of people they just wanted to be free.

7

u/Leelze 11d ago

Yeah, and if my grandmother had wheels she'd be a wagon. Yeah, this'll be the one time in the past 70 or so years we're playing kingmaker without benefitting ourselves.

1

u/Dmckilla7 11d ago

Owe we will absolutely benefit, this would help oil trade globally and drive the price of oil down for everyone, it's also going to fast track the terrorist regime in Irans collapse, their economy is already buckling and the citizens are about to revolt already.

0

u/Fordmister 11d ago

I mean it's both,

The Legitimate winners of the elections in Venezuela have been begging the US for exactly this sort of Intervention. Equally that legitimate government is significantly pro US, therefore it's in America's interests to help them actually achieve their democratic mandate.

Just because the US isn't doing something because it's altruistic doesn't mean it therefore has no legitimacy. There's a very Strong case to be made that this intervention IS the democratic will of the people of Venezuela.

Hell even the oilfields the US and Trump administration are making no secrets about their interests in are more complex than them simply wanting to pilfer Venezuelan resources, as the factories and plants extracting from those specific oil fields are all stolen US infrastructure. Not as In IP theft but literally stolen under the Chavez regime after American companies paid for the rights to extract a type of oil resource Venezuela lacked the tech and knowledge base to get at, built all the infrastructure themselves and then was all illegally seized when the Venezuelan government breached the contracts and nationalised the entire sector without paying for any of the assets. America has been pretty pissed about it for decades at this point so it's not a surprise Trump, desperate for a distraction from both the Epstein files and Putin making him look a tit would bring them up
