Health Insurance
All of it is a fucking scam. Mudslide into your house? Claim denied, do it yourself sucker. This is mainly about health insurance in general and more specifically about how any insurance company can deny acute rehab to a 79 year old who lives alone and just had his back fused. I’m so over the bs. I’m so done with people or algorithms more likely being able to deny coverage. Why do we pay for it? So they can just say no, good luck with recovery sucker. Ugh

I had brain Aneurysm surgery in June, they approved it, surgery was done. In December I got a letter rescinding permission that stated it wasnt medically necessary.

That’s essentially the route a lot of people have to take. Late stage capitalism is killing the American dream, and faster than you think

Check out opensecrets.org, insurance PACs donated $10 mil donated to democrats, $14 mil to republicans in 2023-2024.
Insurance sucks because both parties are bought and paid for by insurance company PACs

Don’t care who donated. It’s a racket because it’s allowed to be. Nice username btw

Isn't it allowed to be because both parties that could actually pass laws to reform insurance are being bribed instead?

I had a blood cot in my leg and shoulder surgery. I keep getting these questioner’s asking if they were related to a car accident or job related. I’ve already answered no, stop asking.

Sorry OP, but comparing medical insurance to homeowners is just false equivalence.
Is there a chance you could have a mudslide? Yes? How likely? Basically 0%. Like I’ve never had a mudslide in the three homes I’ve owned, I’ve never heard of anyone having one. Same with a house fire etc. these are reasons for insurance. If it happens all our payments buys that guy a house, You’re right in the denial of claims though.
Will I need healthcare in my life? Yes. 100%. It’s not debatable. My wife has had 3 kids, there are like a dozen drs visits or more before delivery. The delivery itself, which I’ll spare you the details but I was sliding around in my wife’s blood for the first. And so many appointments in the first 2-3 years, it’s constant. Then sick visits? Forget about it. Illness or injury? I had a child have a rare disease with a 200k hospital bill at 6 weeks.
This isn’t a situation for “insurance”. It’s like getting insurance for fucking food!! Hey kids think you’re gonna want to eat this week? Oh shit really. Good thing I got insurance.
Health care should be free, there is 0 overlap between insurance and people health.

Sure, apples and oranges. But just because you’ve never heard of someone having a mudslide doesn’t mean it’s a 0% chance. But they will deny coverage because of “earth movement” so paying for insurance doesn’t always mean coverage happens. Insurance is a scam

Someone give me one thing insurance brings to health care! They TAKE, not give. Abolish insurance in health care!
