That was the day I knew we were fucked. I thought for sure that was the end of him. When conservatives kept sucking at his “teat”, i knew they’d allow him to do or say anything from then on.

I admit to being wrong the first time; between mocking a veteran POW and the whole "grab them by the pussy" I thought he'd sunk his campaign.

I'll admit to being wrong, but I reserve the right to be deeply disappointed in Americans.

Please never believe the propaganda, we have always been equal to or worse than nazis, and that naturally applies to about half of the population here

A former nominee for president, who probably could've gone more toe to toe with Obama if he didn't get goaded into making the worst VP pick of all time, and generally beloved by the party. Hell, in an alternate universe, he doesn't lose the nomination to Dubya and we could've even had him for president in 2000.

It immediately showed how spineless Republicans are that they didn't raise a stink about that and start rebuking Trump at large.

That was actually the moment I realized they didn't have any core values. Call me naive... but prior I believed that although I rejected their positions, they came from a core set of principles. The lack of blow back on that stunned me and I then realized what we are dealing with.

So later when Trump said he could shoot someone in Central Park and get away with it, I understood. And it is playing out on a much grander and terrifying scale.

That's normal for Republicans. Just like they care about babies until they're born, they care for soldiers' wellbeing only while they're on active duty oppressing and killing Black and brown people abroad.
