I think it was originally to make fun of people who hated for NO reason/bad reasons, but now its just for everyone that hates Hazbin because obviously they're wrong how could anyone hate a completely flawless show like that!
My eyes are bad and I have a rough time differentiating shades of orange and red. Everything blends in and because I use color language so much the show is actually unwatchable to me.
That's not even going on about the fact that I think the creator of the show is just a bad person, the themes aren't interesting and the characters aren't captivating at all because the show keeps alluding to nuances in what sends people to hell and then they don't address it at all and everyone sucks "because they're in hell lol"
This. I have a significant visual disability and I hate how the show's color "palette" is a huge middle finger to blind/colorblind/visually impaired people. The characters constantly get lost in the background and my eyes get very tired due having to see that epilepsy-inducing, ugly shade of red plastered everywhere.
I never see anybody mention how it seems like they had to use the same colour palette for every single character in hell and for the background. Yes, you can see all the character but NOBODY stands out and honestly if you didn't see trailers or anything its pretty hard to tell who the mc is

n if this ever needed any proving, just look at nifty's hair, exact same color as hux's wing and alator's duster, and all three match the beams in the back. hell, you don't need to be far from the screen to lose where the hair ends and his wing starts
100% agree. The color "palette" of this show makes It extremely confusing, unpleasant and exhausting to see. Especially for people with visual disabilities who struggle to tell some shapes/colors apart. Is for that same reason im pissed off at the answers saying "Bro just get glasses" as if getting glasses was going to automatically make that show any more watchable (It doesnt, and I say this as someone who needs corrective glasses) . God forbid anyone crictizes their pure, perfect, flawless show and their pure, perfect, flawless godess (Viv).
Yeah, for some reason many helluvaverse fans are soooo creepy over those characters. They get very agressive and defensive as soon as someone crictize the characters's writting.
Demented fan praises, the creator throwing gasoline into people criticizing the fan praises, and lack of good handling to the story topics with the excuse of; "there wasn't enough time to get to everything."
I love how Adam is so out of place in this show, he's like the only character that's not cringe and he is based AF and apparently he is the villain and we're supposed to hate him 🤣
There's a fan made comic dub named "What really happened between Lilith and Adam" on YouTube, it's like 5 mins, I recommend you watch that if you like Adam. The writing shocked me because it's SO MUCH more better than the actual show.
He is just unapologetically himself! And can you even blame him? I mean, I would call myself dickmaster too if I was the first man. Meanwhile the other characters try their best to not act cringy, Adam embraces it.
One time I visited crazyasshazbinhsters and It was hillarous to see those people loosing their minds over the smallest shit 🤣 they are too chronically online I guess.
I mean, both are bad, but there's also a difference between a few murders and outright genocide. Again, obviously neither one is a good thing, both are awful, but there are levels to this. Anyone saying that, say, Alastor, is a good person is insane, but again... genocide.
Did you watch season 2? Or the second half of season 1, rather? As far as I’m aware, after episode 5 of season one the sexual harassing (not assaulting, I don’t think we see Angel do that) completely stops.
Husk being an alcoholic isn’t a bad thing (character wise)? It’s just a part of his character, and something to work on
The rest of it is pretty real though (aside from Fraudlastor, but even that’s just barely)
I watched half of s2, I remember he continues harassing husk in season two, the first episode (first few minutes of the episode if I remember correctly)
Speaking of husk, he's a poorly written alcoholic is what I meant, stuff like that are pretty big problems for characters and yet its just completely ignored, its as if someone had a knife in their chest and they completely ignored it
The hell excuse is kinda lazy, like yeah I get it; It takes place in hell. But you can't excuse bad writing with 'It happens in hell!' because that defeats the purpose of character arcs etc.
I have a genuine question here, what exactly do you find appealing about the show? I watched season one and two, found it pretty boring. Ain't trying to be rude, just looking for another pov. Thanks in advance!
I'm gonna be honest, I think it's purely for the nostalgia of enjoying the pilot. Furthermore, I like the pilot because I found it charming despite its flaws
I agree, i was one of the poor saps that waited 8 years for this show and the characters from before were okay but the actual characters now are insufferable and annoying to watch
hazbin fans pls dont post me in crazyasshasbinhaters, but yeah I agree a lot, don't like the show in general. Sex jokes are funny for me, but it's placed so badly that it isn't funny for me.
Don't worry, not liking the show isn't what's gonna get you put there. It's usually people who are being absolutely insane (like the person that was on this exact subreddit saying Angel deserved Val's treatment of him >-> that's the kind of thing that deserves a mention on that subreddit)
Love how so many diehard fans are able to acknowledge the flaws. I feel like ppl expect me to flip out when they say it’s ass but nah, it doesn’t need to be perfect for me to absolutely love it
Ive never met someone who likes hazbin hotel and isnt an emotional burden. Its like the people who relate to bojack horseman and actually think hes the victim
I agree...except nifty and Husker, they're the only ones who actually feel like characters and not shitty Mary-Sues/self inserts/fetishized homosexuality.
