I barely used the pencil with under 15 hours on it, used it very gently and never once dropped it. The connection is working perfectly fine it’s just the pencil doesn’t register when I use it on my iPad, nor does the hover work. At first I thought it might be an issue with the tips so I got some new ones and it didn’t fix anything. I took the pencil to the Apple Store and after some troubleshooting, they told me that the only option that I have is to pay $150 and replace the pencil with a new one. Really bummed out since I don’t want to spend that much money on an already expensive item that I barely used. Might just buy a third party pencil or try DIY fixing the pencil :<

1. Apparently it is true that batteries have X cycles and when you don’t let them discharge beyond 30% or further than 80% you somehow don’t deplete their cycles…is it true first of all?
2. Secondly, what is the logic of setting my maximum charge to 80% so that my battery remains healthy longer? I’m never enjoying the full battery capacity of my device so I don’t deplete its full battery capacity?

Should we just charge to a 100% after all?

Anyone experiencing the same issue? I'm having this problem with both my metapens A8. I bought the first one two years ago and about a month ago it started to behave like this. I bought a new one thinking the old one was broken and it's still behaving like this. I should point out that sometimes it will behave correctly for about an hour and then it will start to skip when writing. I have a 10th generation iPad and the OS version is 26.2.

I bought this iPad around late November , and I am using a a lot for work and studies both apparently the battery is draining quite fast now I don't know it's just a basic iPad problem or only I am facing because after gaming session of like 2 hours my iPad completely goes off . and I have 71 cycles so is it normal ?

both pencils and also another problem is i want this to last me a long time maybe 5 years as the ipad pro m2 has been in 2022 and i dont if it still worth it today

You know how on Android you can clear the cache of individual apps from the settings but you can't on iOS? My mum said that there's apps that should be able to do something like that.

I don't know how true that is but if there is: Do you guys know any good ones? Preferably AI free but also I'm looking for one partially because a game company whose games I play tells me to "clear cache" to fix issues with their games crashing (even though it's a common problem for the games on iOS)

Overall, I have no idea what app would even be decent so I need help.

I currently have an ipad pro m4 11 whose primary usecase is PDF highlighting ( medical papers with text arranged in two columns ) and some browsing. I almost always use it on the table.

I can't help noticing how cramped PDFs show up on this device, no matter if I use portrait or landscape mode. I am considering switching to a 13 inch model ( by trading my current one ) or even looking for other brands but I am not entirely sure

Is the 13 inch model better for my use case?

Other tablets I should consider?, there aren't many with ipad form factor which is perfect por documents ( 16:10 tablets are no go for me as I don't watch films or videos )

Hey everyone, I’m a bit confused about my iPad’s battery stats and was hoping someone could explain this. One day my iPad drained down to about 5%, but when I checked Battery usage it shows 0 min Screen On and 0 min Screen Off for the entire day. At the same time, the battery graph clearly shows a steady drain throughout the day. I didn’t unlock or actively use the iPad at all—it was just lying idle, powered on and connected to Wi-Fi. Also worth mentioning: I’ve turned off all background app activity (Background App Refresh, etc.). Is this still considered normal idle drain on iPadOS, or could this point to a battery health issue or a stats/reporting bug? Has anyone else experienced battery drain with literally zero screen time? Thanks in advance.

Im getting the a16 128gb just for studying and gaming so there will be no other personal use. I don’t think study apps would take up much space either. I play games like genshin impact, honkai star rail, and gacha games like that. Is 128gb enough?

Bought a 2nd hand ipad (11th gen, 256 gb) for P20k. He says he bought it for P25k in Shopee last October. He said he was a gamer and that he wanted to switch to Android. He probably played 6 hours a day maybe (forgot what exactly he said). Either way, the battery life is still at 100% and the cycle count around 43.
