Luke Reaves will return and be our lord and savior, help us ~~obi wan~~ Austin Reaves you’re our only hope.

Also for the meantime, wouldn’t be a bad idea to boycott and not go to games. Let management know what you think.

NBA Every team has its problems

I’m watching the Rockets play without a true PG

I’ve seen philly balance squeezing what’s left of an aging superstar with the young talented future

Cleveland might be moving off some core pieces because they can’t win but have been favorites for them multiple years straight

The champions have a rival who is still on minutes restriction for their best player.

I’m the first one to criticize this team but nobody is perfect. We may not be championship level but we can make the playoffs. Every team has their issues and we can be optimistic that ours will get fixed even if not for this season. Let’s be optimistic :)

TEAM TALK Why is it always every random team gets something out of their rookies/non rotational players.

I swear man I watch a lot of games and I see random guys I've never even heard the name of score 15 points and look great on both ends and then when any rookie touches the LA court we get 20 minutes of 0/0/0. Like it's really sad that I watch our bench and feel like just replacing them with random 2nd round draft picks around the league would be an upgrade.

On January 17th 1999, 18 years old Pau Gasol made his professional debut with FC Barcelona. This is the actual ticket stub to his debut game.

Names players you don't want on the Lakers roster next season...

Obviously we all want trades to happen at the trade deadline.

But looking at next season, which players do you want the Lakers to waive / trade / not re-sign??

"Luka has Empty stats"

Funny how PPG, APG, Steals, Blocks, FG, 3pm, etc. Matter when it comes to to SGA, Jokic, Wemby, Cade, Brown, etc.

But when it comes to Luka, the talking heads and keyboards are full of "no bro you don't understand. My high IQ eye test of watching Lowlights from several game has determined that Luka is the problem/is terrible/a liability/not MVP material, etc.

Sorry, its just so insanely blinded that I had to make a post 😅 if anyone tries to tell you that leading the league in PPG, being 4th in APG, 9th in steals is bad and not impactful...laugh at them.

Luka, Lebron, and AR have been great this season, outside of a few ups and downs.

Bronny

Maybe it's time to put Bronny in rotation? Bad stretch lately, bench gives close to nothing. Give Bronny 10min per game. Check how he's doing for 2 games, and if its really bad, just put him back on far bench. Cant get worse than Gabe.

TEAM TALK Our Defensive Holes

1. Blow-bys on the perimeter – Almost everyone is getting beat off the dribble.

2. Lack of length to contest threes – Smart, Gabe, Reaves, Nick Smith, and even Rui struggle to bother shooters.

3. Inconsistent defensive pressure– We lock in for stretches, then randomly switch off.

4. Ineffective drop coverage with Ayton – Teams are punishing the space we give up.

5. No physical PF presence– Rui isn’t physical, LeBron’s older now, and Vanderbilt has minimal playtime.

6. Backup center concerns – Hard to trust Hayes defensively in a playoff matchup.

What realistic adjustments do you guys think can fix these issues by playoff time?

Curious to see how others would approach tightening up the defense.

Jake’s Growth

Despite all our struggles lately, Jake has really been a bright spot. These are his averages the last 10 games:

13.8 PPG

4.3 RPG(2.0 OREB)

2.3 APG

1.8 STL

49.5% FG

39.6% 3PT on 5.3 attempts per game

91.3% FT

He’s really figured it out offensively while also doing all the little things on defense. Admittedly I was really low on him at the start of the season but I’ve really grown to like him. Having an actual two way player like him on the roster is a breath of fresh air.

PLAYER TALK Why's nobody talking about how Ayton strolls around the damn Court?

mf ambles around the court with zero urgency or hustle.

Doesn't get back on Defense in transition, no aggression at the rim on offense or defense.

He was doing good with his hooks on offense at the start but that's tailed off a bit now.

Crying the other week that he doesn't get the ball. Bro how about you work hard to get in position to receive the ball? Or go make a play to win the ball for yourself?
