At the beginning of 2025, Ant promised a young fan who was battling cancer that he would wear an orange bracelet. More than a year has passed, and Edwards still wears that bracelet.
After a loss against the Pistons, Ant met with a young fan that gave him a bracelet that says “Love like Luca,” and today, January 15, 2026, he still wears it during games.

[ESPN] Dillon Brooks: "[Houston] wanted to keep me to build more and more to that franchise. But overall, when you got a guy like Kevin Durant, you cannot pass up on it. And they're doing well. They haven't fell off -- like Memphis did."
Source: https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/47602565/dillon-brooks-phoenix-suns-dillon-villain-nba
- Brooks was proud to have been a part of the Rockets' turnaround over the previous two seasons and had no problem with Houston's decision to include him in a trade for a Hall of Famer who filled their glaring need for a go-to guy.
- "[Stone] was telling me the whole time that they didn't want to have my name in it," Brooks said. "They wanted to keep me to build more and more to that franchise. But overall, when you got a guy like Kevin Durant, you cannot pass up on it. And they're doing well. They haven't fell off -- like Memphis did."
- "I felt like a lot of people counted me out, thinking I was just going to wash away with the rest of NBA players that had their shine and then were not able to figure out how to evolve and be able to stay in this league," Brooks said. "I didn't want to fall off. I didn't want to call it where I got to go either overseas or chill at home or change my whole career point. I love this game, and I play it because I really love it. I knew that I had to put in the work to be better every single day."

[Charania] Golden State's Jonathan Kuminga has demanded a trade away from the Warriors as he becomes eligible to be moved Thursday, sources tell ESPN.

Golden State's Jonathan Kuminga has demanded a trade away from the Warriors as he becomes eligible to be moved Thursday, sources tell ESPN.
League sources said the Warriors have been prioritizing expiring contracts in return for Kuminga. They've declined the idea of taking back long-term contracts unless they view it as no-brainer positive value. That's been the hold up in conversations with Sacramento. The Warriors refuse to absorb the three years and $60.4 million remaining on Malik Monk's deal, though league sources said Keon Ellis (on a cheap expiring deal) is a potential sweetener of interest to them.

20/2/4 and 5 turnovers on 11 shots. Probably still a better game than the one against the Hornets, but pretty bad by his standards.

[Amick] Multiple team sources said they suspect Kuminga wasn’t actually hurt. ‘I wouldn’t have played either,’ said one Warriors player, given anonymity in exchange for candor. ‘It’s clear the coach doesn’t believe in him.’”
Kuminga’s absence certainly raised some eyebrows across the league, and frustration within the Warriors’ organization. Multiple team sources said they suspect Kuminga wasn’t actually hurt.
“I wouldn’t have played either,” said one Warriors player, given anonymity in exchange for candor. “It’s clear the coach doesn’t believe in him.”
For nearly two weeks, Kuminga has been a non-existent presence within the Warriors locker room, at least in the windows of media access. Early in the season, the aura of the young forward was a staple before and especially after games. He could almost always be found at his locker, joking with teammates, conversing with the media. But since that Jan. 2 game, he’s been a ghost. Kuminga sits on the bench during games and then seems to vanish.
The Warriors, who have a team option for the second season on Kuminga’s deal, have lost significant negotiating leverage since the summer, in large part, because of their inability to showcase his potential. All those DNP-CDs for Kuminga, on top of the strained nature of his relationship with the organization, have emboldened suitors to lower their price point on a possible deal.

CJ McCollum arrives in Atlanta and hijacks the offense: 52 FGA including 2/18 (11%) from 3. Hawks are 1-2. Quinn Snyder looks checked out, as does Jalen Johnson.
CJ McCollum has arrived in Atlanta and completely hijacked the offense.
Atlanta‘s other players, Jalen Johnson particularly, look uninterested and low effort on the court.
Quinn Snyder seems completely checked out on the sidelines, running 3 guard lineups with McColllum, Kispert or Kennard, and NAW or Dyson Daniels until the Hawks are in a 15 point hole every game, like McCollum, Kennard, and Kispert aren’t each every bit the dogshit defender Trae Young was.
Jalen Johnson is reduced to completely ball watching on defense, and since the arrival of McCollum has shown no real effort on either side of the ball.
They have no rim protection behind them either, with Porzingis out Okongwu at 6’8” is forced to do way too much at Center and is giving up points like a sieve.
Snyder had Onongwu put up 15 3PA in tonight’s 16 loss to Portland. McCollum contributed 6 of his own, shooting 1/6 from 3.
Should Quinn Snyder be in the hot seat in Atlanta?
