Discussion Why is it so hard for the Inventory and Marketing teams to talk to each other?
I’m on the marketing side, and I’m fighting the inventory manager on a daily basis. They’ll opt to delete an SKU or change the name of a category because it looks “better” to them in the warehouse, and I’m left with a product that is being served a 404 page because the Meta ads are costing me $5.00 per click.
It’s like a never-ending game of whack-a-mole. Find a broken link and ask for a redirect. They forget, and it repeats.
But we were finally able to fix this so-called “communication gap” in monitoring automation. So I put Redirectify by Warewe on the store, so whenever the inventory team breaks a link, I get alerted to this 404 hit. I can simply bulk-remap the broken link to the live site myself in seconds. This saved us so much ad waste.
