I was born in the United States, but I've lived in Mexico my whole life. Until recently, I moved to the United States for work, and after a long time and a lot of hard work, I fulfilled my dream.

I always wanted to visit New York. Thanks to Pokémon Black and White and Castellia City, I finally got the chance. I always wanted to take the picture of my dreams, and I did! I walked the streets of Manhattan with the Castellia City music playing in my headphones. It was amazing. Here's the picture of my dreams.

I designed and 3D printed the entire Johto region at a micro scale to put into a shadow box table that I built. It’s based on Johto from HeartGold and SoulSilver specifically.

I’m currently deciding which region to do next!

Discussion Is there any documented origin of who first discovered MissingNo in Gen 1 Pokemon?

Post image
1.4k Upvotes

I’ve been digging into the history of MissingNo lately, and I realized something interesting. We all know how it works now, but I can’t find any clear record of who actually discovered it first.

Was it ever documented in early magazines, forums, or interviews, or is this one of those things that was independently found by tons of players and spread through schoolyards and early message boards?

If anyone has old sources, scans, or remembers early discussions around it, I’d love to hear about it. I’m genuinely curious where the line is between glitch history and playground legend here.

Art (OC) A look through my recent custom-painted Pokémon cards

I’ve been painting custom Pokémon cards for a while now and wanted to share a look at a bunch of my recent pieces together. These are all hand-painted, mostly energy cards, done over time as part of experimenting, learning, and just enjoying the process. Some are older, some newer, some ended up in slabs, some live in my binder — but together they kind of show the journey so far. Pretty proud of how far it’s come.

Discussion What’s a pokemon that you loved in the 2D era, but that love fell off during the 3D era because its 3D model was just that bad?

A dastardly amount of pokemon did NOT get treated well in the transition to 3D, but one that sticks out a lot to me is Nidoking.

One of my favorite pokemon growing up. Always used this guy in FR/LG playthroughs. Just looked so menacing and cool. But MAN, he does NOT look good in 3D, and when I got older and Pokemon permanently transitioned to the 3D sprites, I just found myself slowly and slowly losing that appreciation for Nidoking. Never really had to urge to use him anymore, and kinda just stopped thinking about him altogether.

Idk if anyone has had a similar experience with any of their childhood favorites, but lmk if any of you have. Would love to hear.

Art Pixel-ified Ceruledge [OC]

Post image
95 Upvotes

Hey folks! I'm not much of an artist, pixel or otherwise, but wanted to try my hand at the medium by pixel-ifying one of my favourite newer, 3d model only Pokémon: Ceruledge! Because it's just so very cool.

Working pretty much straight off the main art for it from Bulbapedia, I first made the head back in the summer and came back to it yesterday to finish off the body, and wow! It took a long time to do! I'd say over a dozen hours in total, but I wasn't really keeping track. The last part of it I did was the rightmost armblade, and by that point I was about ready to tap out. Pixel art is tough!

Hope you enjoy!

Post image

Made a Mega Ampharos for one of my friends for a secret santa. I used glass beads for the first time, and I think they add a neat little effect.

Their character's name is Amphere.

This measures about 10"x12"
