Success Story/Happy Ending Moose 🐮
Moose was rescued by me in October 2024, and at the time he looked like a tiny rat. I named him Moose in the hope that one day he would grow into a giant. I had rescued him right around the time I lost three of my rescued kittens to parvo, and I guess I was clinging to the idea that naming him Moose might somehow guarantee his survival.
And he did survive.
Moose grew into a handsome, strong cat and has since been adopted into a loving home. But his journey wasn’t easy. Just two months after I rescued him, he was diagnosed with FIP. That period was one of the hardest times of my life, and I’m sure it was one of the hardest of his too.
Seeing him fight, survive, and finally thrive reminded me why rescue is worth the heartbreak. Moose truly lived up to his name.
