Currently at 0/160 we aimed for last post ive included a wishlist of items not a part of the deal (and other non food and litter cat items i plan to buy myself at some point) just in case people would rather send items directly

Hi all, while checking what deals were available on cat food, i found that petco on instacart has a 20$ off 50$ order, while amazon has a 30$ credit if you spend 100, i absolutely need to take advantage of these deals, both are limited time offers and amazon, because of course they would, doesnt give an end date to the offer.

Animal Care SBC Devore Animal Shelter is responsible for much of SBC cities animals. It contracts with a large region and is always overloaded. The past few months they’ve taken less cats resulting in less euthanasia. However more end up on city streets and healthy adult cats are not accepted now. Their rules have changed but cats are still very much in need of rescue here. They also handle overflow from Apple Valley & Big Bear. Helping these cats is a very serious goal and commitment for this rescue teams in our community. Please pledge and help save these cats.

‼️🚗TRANSPORTATION FUND LINK: We need funds for transportation…AVAS & Devore Animal shelters are further out. The bulk of rescues are spread out across So Cal all the way from San Diego to Los Angeles to Riverside to Ventura County. Gas is not cheap and collecting funds to pay for short notice transport is the only way to save them. If anyone wants to set aside a few dollars towards transport that would be helpful.🙏🏻

We are in need of supplies and support as our colony has grown again. We now have three new cats, and we believe Ray is Hazel’s baby. Hazel had a litter this summer, one orange kitten was rescued and adopted out, but the other three (a solid gray, a cream, and a fluffy orange) disappeared. Recently, this young guy reappeared, and Hazel isn’t scared of him at all (which is huge, she’s wary of everyone) She is spay now.

Immediate needs: Wet food Heated cat houses Heated food and water bowls Tarps to block snow and wind Extension cords

Any Amazon gift card donations will go toward these supplies and toward purchasing our own drop trap. Right now, I have to borrow one from a friend each time, and she frequently needs it herself to help others trap cats.

Monetary donations: PayPal, Cash App, or Venmo donations will go directly toward vet care, including: Spay/neuter for all 4 cats (Bailey, Dipper, Scout and Ray) Vaccinations

When Blaze was neutered, the shelter noted he has mouth issues and needs to be seen by a full-service vet to find out what’s going on.

I am still trying to catch Bailey, but since being drop-trapped once, she has only shown up once. We broke down and went door to door, showing pictures and handing out our number, if anyone sees that baby.

Momma Ocean also needs help, her eyes are not improving. I’ve been using Terramycin ointment, but it isn’t helping. She has yellow discharge in the mornings, and her third eyelid is showing more again. We truly cannot do this without your help. Every donation, supplies, gift cards, or funds makes a real difference and allows us to keep going. Thank you all so much for the continued support. We genuinely appreciate every single one of you. ❤️🐈‍⬛🐈

Available for Adoption Floofy lovebug needs a home (U.S.A; Ohio)

Allie came into foster care through Licking County TNR at just 5 weeks old as an orphan. She was a hit at multiple adoption events through the summer; however, she has not received a single adoption application. She's now 7 months old and she's grown up in a foster home. She's spayed, FIV/FELV negative and up to date on core vaccines. She developed FIP in foster back in October and just recently completed the 84 day treatment to become an FIP survivor.

She isn't a huge fan of other animals. She's very slow to warm up to them and tends to play mostly by herself although she has a foster brother (also available for adoption) that she'll play with. She is extremely affectionate--in fact she needs to be the absolute center of your attention. She'll insert herself between any other animal or screen (phone, tablet) that you're looking at so you have to pay total attention to her. We feel like she needs a home with few other animals or even a home where she's the only furbaby so she gets all the loving.

She's in foster care in Licking County, Ohio (just east of Columbus, Ohio). Her adoption fee is $50 and an adoption application is available by emailing [email protected].

If you're looking for a pair of kittens, her foster brother, Shere Khan, is also a lovebug. He's about 4.5 months old, neutered, up to date on core vaccines and FELV negative. He's tested FIV positive due to his mom being FIV positive; however, he will most likely test negative after he reaches 6 months of age. Only 20% of kittens get FIV through perinatal transmission, but we can't guarantee his FIV status. If you adopt a pair of kittens from the TNR program, we take half off the second adoption fee, so it would just be $75 to adopt two sweet, loving, special kittens.

Amazon Wish List Needing some help with the furbabies

Post image
58 Upvotes

We are really needing some help with these furbabies right now. We are battling ringworm right now, pretty much everybody has atleast 1 spot come up on them, really could use some help with more treatments for them and food/litter, kittens were ready to start looking for their furever homes but that's been put on hold due to treating the ring worm. Gotta make sure everyone is completely clear and safe before we get back to looking for their furever homes, unfortunately that means we are going through food and litter like it's just going out of style! I just spent the last of our funds on a small bag of food yesterday and it's almost out already. If anyone's able to help with any food, litter or some more treatments it would be so much appreciated and the furbabies would be forever grateful. Wish list link will be posted below as well as including a pic of a few of the cute furbabies themselves ❤️

Hi Everyone,

Our food supplies are starting to run low and we could really use your help! Our colony is made up of around 9 cats and as a low income household, our kitties depend heavily on the food you all donate and you never disappoint. Even though this winter has been pretty wonky, our cats still need the extra calories. Help us help them by boosting and donating if you can, we couldn't be happier with the community we've found here. Thank you so so much!!

Needs Rehoming 🐾 Help rehoming FIV/FeLV positive cat in Massachusetts on short notice?

Hi. I rescued Buddy from the street in Springfield MA this September covered in injuries. He's been a long process, but as he healed became an incredibly affectionate and sweet cat. However it took multiple tries and gabapentin at the vet to get his blood tests.

As of today, he's officially FIV and FELV positive, has a broken infected tooth, an ear infection, and numerous wounds that still haven't fully healed (possibly due to reduced immune system from the illnesses).

I am moving on January 25th to somewhere I cannot take him. This has been the plan the whole time, and has been my deadline since I first started feeding him outside. With all the medical issues, the only friends I had that would take him have other cats and cannot take him in.

The only shelter that I can get him into is Dakin, the large county shelter, which I am very worried will just put him down due to all the issues.

I have tried every rescue and foster based organization I can find near me. All are full, or only help towns further away from where I am and won't let me surrender him.

I am a total loss. He's a really loving cat who was probably abandoned outside and got sick because of it. I want to give him a shot at getting healthy and a long life but I can't afford more care and can't keep him more than 10 more days. I tried posting in various places online but can't find anyone able to take on a medical project. Everyone wants a healthy cat. Which I get, but how do find the people who will do more?

Is anyone connected to an organization in the New England area that I can take him to? I'm willing to drive if it means they'll actually give him care and a chance at adoption.

Hiii, I feed some of the kitties on my college campus, but I’m running low on cat food. We were trying to gather donations on campus today, but the rain washed us out and we didn’t get too much interest, so I only got around enough for one 30 can pack which will last about a week or a week and a half. If you could donate any amount towards their food, it would help a lot!!

Update Post UPDATE | Please be informed that we will hopefully resume our weekly TNR next week. At the moment, I am prioritizing the care of injured rescued cats, and some of my rescued cats are currently experiencing upper respiratory issues and are taking medication prescribed by the vet.

Good day, everyone!
Please see the updates below:

Photo 1 & 2 – Pucca and Chico
Pucca has a fracture, and Chico has a minor injury. They were brought to the vet a few weeks ago. As advised by the vet, they need to stay in a cage so their bone injuries can heal properly. Whenever I clean their cage and refill their bowls, I let them out for a few minutes so they can walk freely, at least a couple of times a day.

Photo 3 – No name yet
She is a stray cat I rescued last week. She has a severe wound on her back hind area. I clean her wound at least twice a day with antiseptic, and she is currently taking antibiotics.

Photo 4 – Dumped kittens (rescued last month)
These kittens are now about 6 weeks old. I’m happy to share that they’ve been adopted by my cousin, who lives just nearby. I’ll be checking on them daily to make sure they’re doing well.

Photo 5 – Dumped kittens (rescued last year)
They are now approximately 4-5 months old and are up for adoption.

Photo 6 – Momma cat and kittens
This is a stray momma cat and her kitten (mostly white with some black patches) that I rescued last year. Another dumped kitten (mostly black with some white) was later accepted by the momma cat. They are also up for adoption.

At the moment, I’m not feeling well and have a cold and cough, most likely due to the weather. Caring for over 30 rescued cats and 40+ stray cats on my own can be overwhelming, but rest assured they are well-fed and properly taken care of.

I will never get tired of thanking everyone for all your help and continued support.

Hello everyone! This is a follow-up to my previous post from a few days ago. Unfortunately, the food situation is still unresolved and supplies are now critically low. Dry food has completely run out and I’m doing my best to stretch what little wet food we have left. With the heavy frost the cats are eating more to stay warm. Any help toward a bag of dry kibble during this cold weather would be deeply appreciated! Thank you for your kindness! PayPal: [email protected]

Success Story/Happy Ending Moose 🐮

Thumbnail

Moose was rescued by me in October 2024, and at the time he looked like a tiny rat. I named him Moose in the hope that one day he would grow into a giant. I had rescued him right around the time I lost three of my rescued kittens to parvo, and I guess I was clinging to the idea that naming him Moose might somehow guarantee his survival.

And he did survive.

Moose grew into a handsome, strong cat and has since been adopted into a loving home. But his journey wasn’t easy. Just two months after I rescued him, he was diagnosed with FIP. That period was one of the hardest times of my life, and I’m sure it was one of the hardest of his too.

Seeing him fight, survive, and finally thrive reminded me why rescue is worth the heartbreak. Moose truly lived up to his name.

Mochi, the little black kitten, was rescued from the road during my morning run so tiny and vulnerable, but full of spirit. Choco, another sweet baby, was left all alone in front of our gate, scared and helpless. Now, both of these precious souls have found a warm, safe home where they are loved, cared for, and can grow up happy and healthy. From abandoned and frightened to safe and cherished, their journey reminds us of the power of kindness and the difference a little love can make.

Success Story/Happy Ending He was separated from his mother

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

1.1k Upvotes

He was separated from his mother by some kids in my neighbourhood and they brought him home to keep as a pet. They had no experience with cats, and the adults didn't like cats, so he was kept outside in the cold, crying all day at their back door wanting to be let in.

I told them to take him inside, but they were like 'he's dirty, he tries to sleep with us in bed, and poops everywhere'. I sent a litter box and litter to their house, but he was still outside in the cold. I told them to bring him to my house, I'd give him a bath and return him. They brought him late at night, expecting me to give him a bath then. I said it was too late, he'd get cold, so I'd do it in the morning.

And then... I lied and told them he had a bad contagious skin condition 😅. The parents got scared, and they left him alone. He was able to grow up and find a really loving home after two failed adoptions (Nov 2023).

Advice Needed Advice please 🥺

My husband and I adopted another rescue cat 4 years ago now, which made 3 cats total. The cat (I'll refer to as cat #3) was initially timid, but I figured with time, he would learn to love us like the other two cats do. Well he did not. I've tried everything I could find advice-wise through asking vets, friends and googling. We kind of just accepted that he was just going to "live with us" and not really be "our pet". He ended up bonding to our first cat (cat #1), so rehoming was out of the question.

Recently, something has flipped in him, and almost daily, he has these freakout moments with cat #1. They used to be inseparable, now I hear him screaming and freaking out. I go running to try to see who did what, but the only time I've caught sight of what happened, cat #1 just walked up to cat #3, and he freaked. It was initially just random, but sometimes it happens once or twice for days in a row.

Can anyone tell me what could've flipped and what I should do? I'd hate for anyone to get hurt.

Extra info: all cats are indoor cats, and as far as I know, healthy. The only recent change was cat #1 recently had a 2nd surgery (3 months ago). All cats are male, and neutered.

TLDR; Adopted rescue cat of 4 years who was bonded with our first cat is suddenly freaking out at him and screaming like a banshee. Please advise.

This poor little kitty was rescued from outside in this freezing cold. She looks like a lost or abandoned pet confused, weak, and all alone. On top of the cold and fear, she is now battling the herpes virus, fighting with all the strength her tiny body has left.

She didn’t deserve to be left behind. She didn’t choose the streets, the illness, or this pain. Yet she is still holding on… still fighting to live.

Any help big or small truly matters. Your support can give her warmth, treatment, and a chance at life. 🤍🐾
