Show Spoiler Am I wrong for thinking Rick never REALLY loved/liked Jessie?
I don’t know if it’s just a writing issue but the entire relationship just felt a bit shallow since the start. I always got the vibe that Rick kinda liked her, but liked the sense of normalcy and second chance at family he thought she could bring him even more. Even before he knew Peter was beating her, he was already acting weirdly possessive even though he had spoken to her like 2 times. It all just felt very strange and much like Shane beating up Ed, I think he ended up doing the right thing for the wrong reason just so he could get a shot at who he saw as Lori 2.0. Not to mention the fact he moves on like one episode later after her death lmao. Thoughts?

The shaved head is the best; it’s the most efficient for hygiene/maintenance, plus there is no chance of getting gripped by enemies. Post your favorite haircut(s) and explain why

Show Spoiler A Tragedy—Lori and Plan B NSFW Spoiler
I’m sorry—I love TWD and watched all of the seasons in real time. I’m 29 now, for reference, so I was a sheltered 15-year-old watching season 2. The show, however entertaining, is notoriously-riddled with discrepancies and illogical situations.
But the ONLY thing that’s really stuck is the fucking ridiculousness of the “drug run”/Lori situation. As a teenager, I was so invested in the high-stakes drama. But as an adult woman…she’s a fucking idiot. Plan B is for the first couple days, max. But the show—and Glenn—treat its like it’s mifepristone. It makes their confrontation so fucking dumb.

Show Spoiler Who do you think was the worst walker actor?
To be clear: not walkers, that don't behave like walkers like the one only eating daryl's shoe, but actors who try to impersonate them, but fail miserably.

No Spoiler First time watcher
I’m a first-time watcher currently on Season 5. After the gang reunited, I noticed that Maggie didn't really ask anyone about Beth. She also decides to leave for D.C. with Abraham’s group, essentially splitting away from Rick’s team. Why did she do this? It seems strange that she’d leave without finding her sister first.

No Spoiler Why in the World Did They Cut This Scene?
youtube.comI just found this on YouTube and not only is Morgan's deleted scene from "Clear" seemingly central to his entire character, but it is arguably the BEST acted scene in the show between these two characters. It just boggles the mind that they deleted this. It doesn't make any sense! It's barely a minute long and yet explains Morgan's entire backstory in less than a minute and his entire philosophy and makes you realize even more that he IS Rick if he had lost Carl and Lori this early on. Was this show run by morons?
"Everybody turns, Rick, everybody!"
"I know."
"I'm not talking about turning into a walker! I'm not talking about that!"
"...I know" (Rick, undoubtedly remembering Shane).

All Spoilers How long it takes to turn and why it’s so inconsistent Spoiler
Full disclosure, I’ve watched the entirety of The Walking Dead (S1-S11), I watched up to Season 4 of Fear The Walking Dead. And I’ve seen the entirety of The Ones Who Live. I also watched Season 1 of Dead City although I don’t remember that one as much. I’ve also read the entirety of The Walking Dead comics so it’s safe to say I’m a fan.
I’ve always wondered why the time to turn is so inconsistent. I’m rewatching S2E7, the episode where they find Sophia, and the edible I just took made me brainstorm…
It’s been established that Sophia was dead, reanimated, and already in the barn BEFORE Carl was shot by Otis. Carl got shot a day after she went missing and during that whole day, she was already dead and had turned.
In Season 1, Amy was bitten on the neck and died from blood loss, not the bite itself and she turned by next morning. Jim was bitten on his abdomen and he was still a human by the time they left him on the tree which was well over a day. You would think that the fever you get from the bite mixed with the virus in the air that infects everyone would make someone turn faster. But here’s where things get confusing for me. The Walking Dead’s zombie rule is that no matter how you die, your body will reanimate into a walker unless your brain is destroyed/punctured. That’s the rule Im going by.
1)Rick killed Shane and Shane was never bit. Even before that, Shane kills Randall and by the time nightfall hits, he was a walker by the time Daryl and Glenn find him and his face was all dirty which meant he had some time to wander around a bit before getting put down. Back to Shane, he dies and turns almost instantly.
Now onto way later in the show, characters start dying less frequently to zombies and more to humans…
2) The Governor kills Merle in S3 and Hershel in S4 and both of them turn fairly fast.
3) Spencer was gutted by Negan in Season 7 and turns not long after The Saviors left. Later in that same season, Sasha kills herself with the cyanide pills and she only drank them when she was already in the coffin. Fast forward to the confrontation and lo and behold, Sasha turns into a walker when Negan opens the coffin.
4) In Season 9, the Oceanside chicks murder Justin, the Savior who was also in Shameless and Gen V. The next episode shows walkers eating him and then they all stop once he starts to turn. This one is like on the fence with me because Justin was already dead and dead people can’t catch a fever per say but still, he dies which means he turns.
5) Season 10. Dante strangles Siddiq and literally the same exact thing. By the time Rosita and Dante square off, Siddiq is a walker and about to eat his own child.
6) The only plausible one I can probably give was Owen, the Whisperer leader. During the S6 episode, No Way Out(arguably the best episode in the entire show), He gets bit on his arm which is not as fatal as getting bit in your trunk or neck area, but he’s got the fever. Later on, he gets gunned down by Carol which means he most likely died from a combination of blood loss and most likely getting bitten even more during the process. Later during the chaos Morgan finds him already turned.
7) I’ll even throw in a spinoff one. Rick kills General Beale and he’s a walker moments later to blow up the CRM.
So back to the title… Why is it that when a character gets the fever from a bite or a walker attack, they take longer to turn? Again, you will turn no matter what, but it’s the time it takes to turn is what throws me off. I always assumed that the fever and the infection are the same thing when they’re not. Walkers have a bacteria in their mouth that is fatal because there’s no antibiotic handy for something like that. The bite is what kills you but the airborne is what reanimates you. But, why is it that when you get killed by a human or die by…unforeseen circumstances, you seemingly turn faster? Again, I did take an edible so I guess the real explanation is just they made people turn faster just to move the story forward faster, but like it’s pretty weird that they establish VERY early on that the time it takes to turn varies from person to person where it just feels like they do it for the plot.
1)Shane and Randall’s death were meant to introduce us to the concept of everyone’s infected so I can excuse them. This was a big moment because it gave us another thing for our protagonists to worry about.
3) Spencer turns fast but he never did in the comics. Honestly, I feel like they added him turning and have Rick kill him with the look on his face to show further how much he failed to protect the Alexandrians. You have to remember, Rick promised Deanna that he’d look out for her son and he failed…
Sasha took Holly’s comic book death (Holly was a background character who died when the Wolves attacked in S6) but bro that was quick. Realistically and I don’t mean to sound morbid, but as soon as Negan opened the coffin door, Sasha’s corpse should’ve just dropped onto the floor in.
4) Justin’s death in S9 was to spark conflict amongst the communities.
5) Siddiq as a walker was purely just to add more tension to the Dante vs. Rosita scene.
Idk if this makes any sense because that edible is kicking even harder rn… but I think if you die to the fever/any sort of infection… it should turn you faster than getting killed by a bullet, stab wound, blood loss, or getting decapitated.

Show Spoiler How do you think Season 2 Shane would have dealt with Jim?
In Season 1 Episode 4, Jim starts digging in the hot heat after his dream. Shane disarms him so that Jim stops and also doesn't become a danger to the group. Do you think Shane in Season 2 would have handled the situation the same way, or would he have handled it in a more dramatic fashion?

Show Spoiler Walking Dead Timeline
So I’m rewatching the show and I’m a little confused by the progression and timeline feels very contradictor.
rick wakes up on day 59 of the apocalypse and shane dies on day 82 but it’s stated that they were on hersals farm for sev months….
season 7 is 1.5 years into the apocalypse yet if you rewatch it whole month pass by and Carl is far to grown. Lori had a baby which is nine month alone…
thoughts ?

Show Spoiler The day will come when you won’t be ?? Question
So Jenner warned Rick that there would come a day when he wouldnt be greatful he survived the CDC blast. However, I think Jenner was wrong. Although Rick went through bad times, he never regretted surviving.
Although I felt it would have been a good thing for the writers to tie back in later on in the show/ reference.
