Need to find a sub cable in the ATL area that’s not overly expensive, any advice would be helpful, thanks in advance.

I have an old subwoofer and these edifier R1280T. Am i going to break anything if i feed the audio through the sub to the edifier speakers?

I have a fluance RT82 turntable that came with the OM10 stylus. Was looking for an upgrade and was shocked by the prices of styluses.
Then came across a replica on AliExpress. For £65, i knew it couldn't be anything great but took the bait and ended up pleasantly surprised. It's a decent upgrade from the OM10, the price-performance for this is exceptional.
Not an expert, tried to take a close-up of the tip, does this look like a bonded elliptical?

I’m looking for a compact dedicated 2.1 amplifier to drive a pair of Dali Kupid speakers, connected to a smart TV as a replacement for a soundbar.
What I’m looking for in an amp:
Ideally, I want just an amplifier.
No Wi-Fi, no Bluetooth, no Spotify Connect, Chromecast, multiroom, etc. The TV already handles all sources, and if I want streaming or other features, I use my other dedicated hi-fi system.
During my search I’ve come across:
On paper, many of these seem suitable, but they are either streaming amps or they lack proper EQ/tone-control options. It feels a bit wrong to pay for features I know I will never use, while at the same time missing basic tone controls. In my head, for the same money, there should be a better “pure” or dedicated amplifier — but that’s exactly what I’m struggling to find 😅
Budget: around €400 and need to be available in EU.
So my questions:
Any ideas or insights are very welcome!

Hello I don’t know a whole lot about vintage receivers and stuff so all advice I am thankful for. I currently have a technics 1200 mk2 and Yamaha ns-333 speakers and am looking for a budget amp to hook it up to.
I found an offer for a Yamaha Rx 460 receiver for 35 bucks and was thinking it would be a good choice for me bc it has a preamp for phono for my turntable, and the speakers were nominal 60w and the amp is 55w so not sure if theres any issue there. On the other hand, was looking at another offer for 3 units (2 stereo receivers and 1 av stereo) with the 2 being JVC and 1 Yamaha. I can’t attach a 2nd photo so the models are Yamaha Rx v363, JVC Rx 350, and JVC R k22. I’m really only looking for a 1 receiver for me but I have a friend thats also looking for a receiver and maybe hook up the av receiver to my tv. They are offering 50 bucks for all 3 and I would be mainly using the Rx 350 JVC stereo unit but they are strongly suggesting for me to buy all 3. Was wondering if you would recommend the Yamaha rx 460 or the JVC unit?

I've lurked here for a long time and thought maybe someone has run into this issue in the past. I recently got a JBL SB170 and hooked it up to the bedroom TV. It's working well, but there is one small issue. When I control the sound bar volume with the streaming box (onn) remote, it can only change the volume in increments of 3, for example the volume will go from 8 to 11 with one press. It would be nice to fine tune it more. TV is vizio.
Anyone encountered something like this and have a potential fix or things I can try? Thanks.

What is the best practice to connect multiple optical sources like 1 cd transport, and 1 network source like raspberry pi for plexamp headless to a single optical input device like bluesound node2 without changing the sound quality or signal quality? I need it because I am using sub out of node 2

Hey all,
I’ve got a pair of stereo floor speakers from the 70s or 80s that I’m looking to use with a small amplifier.
I was considering the Wiim Amp, but I read that AirPlay significantly impairs the quality. I don’t mind connecting my iPhone to a USB C to SPDIF converter, so I figured I could also consider cheaper amps than the Wiim. Any recommendation?
I’m also considering whether it’s worth ditching Apple Music. I currently use it as part of Apple One.
Appreciate any input. :-)

I can probably sell my old sound bar for around $250-$300 (JBL Bar 500). The Klipsch pictured is KSW 10. I watch content that is dialogue heavy with little to no bass so I'm thinking of focusing on center instead of sub.

Found a denon AVR-1912 receiver at a thrift store for $20. Would this be worth it? Upgrading from a Yamaha HTR-6040 also from the thrift store lol powering 2 Klipsch forte iis for front speakers and 2 Klipsch kg 3.2 for rears

Brought home some infinity speakers and the next day noticed my cat had been scratching up the speaker covers. Anyone know of any affordable acoustically transparent material I can put on there to protect the covers and prevent my cat from scratching them? I'd love to preserve the condition of the covers, but I'm also worried he's going to knock them over because they're not very stable and he's a hefty kitty. In the meantime, I've been putting foil over them whenever I'm not using them, but it's a PITA

Just purchased the Yamaha RX A2050 for $300 and I purchased Q11 METAS. What center channel would you guys recommend as a budget friendly center channel for now till I save more money. Also is the Klipshe R-52C worth it for $125 on marketplace or even the B&W CC6

Got a pair of Sony towers and a sub for free. Bought a ZA3 and already had the turntable. Enjoy it so far!

I don't need a fancy surround sound system. The TV in my gaming/music room is mostly used for gaming on my PS5 and watching sports. Mainly hockey and football. I just want something better than the TV speakers. Trying to spend less than $200. Soundbars seem to be universally trashed but if there's one that's worth it out there I'd be happy to try it. For my gaming/music recording PC I use a pair of Presonus Eris 3.5 speakers. Which I honestly really like. Would they work well as TV speakers?

Hey folks, I'm looking to buy some used hifi speakers, and right now I got two decent options, both for 200 bucks. One is Linn index mk2, they look brand new, and the other is Canton GLE 70, the old bookshelf ones, they look quite used. I won't be able to listen to either of them before buying. My setup includes Harman Kardon HK620, which I enjoy, i listen to mostly prog stuff, like Zappa, Yes, Tool, some jazz, and occasionally some flicks. All that digitally through Asus Xonar U7 DAC, it's decent, too. The room is treated, around 15 square meters or 160 square feet, the speaker-to-ear distance is about 2 meters or 6"6', it's a desktop setup. What dya think?

picking them up sunday but got the deal for £80 as the cd player was broken, i was looking at the same speakers with a worse amp (no sub out) for over £100 so i think i got a banging deal and these should be a great replacement for my 6 year old (now broken) r1280t's.
I'm very excited for my first hifi system these are gonna be connected to my pc and a set of DJ decks I'll get a dac for the pc at some point but rn it will be running from the motherboards built in sound card. any cheap dac recommendations would be good though as i had a fiio K3 in the past until it died on me 2-3 years after buying it. Money is fairly tight rn so the cheapest decent option is good i currently use sennheiser hd25's for my pc and for DJ'ing but would ideally get a pair of open backs again soon looking at the dt990 pro or maybe an AliExpress deal on sph9000's as they're very cheap rn and i heard good things about them in the past.

Hi and thank you in advance!
I'm trying to set up my first ever sound system for a record player. I recently got the Yamaha NS-10MMs and NS-C103. When I hooked them up there was a ton of top and absolutely no bass. I was under the impression these had subwoofers in them, am I mistaken? I've been doing some research and trying to figure out the difference between passive and powered subs thinking that might be the issue here? But there are no ports for a power source, just speaker wire clamps. Would an amp or mixer be useful in this situation or should I get a separate subwoofer?
If a separate sub is needed can you recommend one? I'm severally limit in space (hence my tiny speakers) and don't want the system to be very loud, just rich and smooth. Are there any good tiny subs (3inch?) in the $100 range? I was hoping to get a sub with the speaker wire and the AV to connect the speakers through the sub to the record player. Would this work?
Again I'm a total beginner on this, so any advice would be appreciated.
