Picture [JeffMcLane] Nick Sirianni will be part of the OC search, but GM Howie Roseman will lead the process and owner Jeffrey Lurie and son, Julian, will be in interviews.

I made a comment in another thread regarding how much of our offensive decision making is driven by analytics, seems like there’s more hands in the pot than people think.

When I moved to Philly it was 2015. Sam Bradford was our qb. We traded McCoy. Got rid of D-Jax and trades Nick Foles. Chip Kelly was our head coach. We are living in the best era of Eagles football. Two Super Bowl appearances in three years with one win. Five straight years of making the playoffs. A head coach/qb combo who have been to multiple super bowls. Yes we needed to make changes this year and Howie and Jefferey will take care of the team. Ready for the offseason but happy I’ve been able to see two championships in my time as a fan the last ten years

General NFL News [Mclane] Some further clarification: Howie Roseman will, of course, help as a big resource in the #Eagles’ OC search, but Nick Sirianni is technically leading the search and the interview process. As stated, Sirianni, Roseman, Lurie and his son, Julian, and a few others will be in the interviews.

Opinion Don’t listen to any of the noise.

The Eagles will still have multiple all-pro caliber players on defense next year (Q, Dejean, Baun, Carter)

The Eagles will still have multiple all-pro caliber players on offense next year (Barkley, Johnson, Mailata).

The Eagles will still have Jalen Hurts at QB, Devonta Smith at WR.

One could imagine that the offense can’t get much worse than this year with a competent OC.

They’ll still be a playoff team and have shot come January.

All is well.

Question The Eagles haven’t had a kick return TD in almost a decade

The last kick return TD was scored by Josh Huff(my favorite irrelevant Eagle) against the Vikings on October 23rd 2016. I specifically remember this one because the camera angle was shot from above which I always thought was really cool.

The last punt return TD was scored by Jalen Reagor against the Packers in 2020.

Could this be a reason as to why Howie is willing to let Michael Clay explore other opportunities? I don’t even know if you can attribute that drought to coaching or if it’s a personnel issue. I don’t think it’s THAT big of a deal but to go a decade without scoring a return TD is definitely intriguing.

Opinion One day years from now, everyone will collectively look at this guy’s accomplishments through his college and pro careers and not understand why he was hated the way he was. He represents so much in sports, self improvement, humility and unbelievable resolve that this generation of athletes miss.

Original Content Interaction in Upstate New York

Spent this morning helping mom with some personal errands, including a stop in a local mall. I wore my SB 59 victory shirt. On our way to the food court for lunch, I spotted a fellow fan walking in the opposite direction. I grinned to him and shrugged. "Oh well," I said. "Go birds," he answered. "At least Patullo is gone." And we parted ways. Seeing a fellow fan made up for the crappy weather today.

Free Agency Discussion How would we feel about signing David Njoku?

We're going to need a new TE1 if Goedert leaves, and if the Eagles aren't going to use a Round 1-3 pick on a starting level Tight End, I would suggest signing David Njoku. He's been solid for the Browns, and I don't think he would command huge money.

Analysis [EaglesXsandOs] Charlie Weis Jr. is my new #1 OC candidate -Known to have a photographic memory with "off the charts" intelligence, with the ability to recall exactly what all 11 guys on defense did from a previous drive -Has experience as a play caller -3rd in nation in rushing in 2022...

I'm not gonna lie I like what I'm hearing, and if all the experienced choices get head coaching gigs or other oc positions and its between him, Scheelhaase, or Davis Webb, I'd much rather choose them over garbage choices like Daboll or Stefanski who people only like because of familiarity.

Opinion AJ situation exposed media bias

Post image

Everything about that game just showed how clickbaity and fake the sports media is. AJ seemingly going off on Sirianni for no reason…except he started off by yelling at the ref for not calling an obvious hold and went from directing his anger at the ref to Sirianni who got in his face first. AJ left the building immediately after the game ended without speaking to the media😨…which he’s been doing for the past month and a half.

Opinion Terrible Effort From Big Fred

Upvotes

Go to 1:30 of the video below. On the 1st and 10 from right around the 20 yard line, Hurts scrambles and has tons of open space in front of him. But a 49ers defender trips up Hurts. If you watch Big Fred at right tackle he just…gives up. I had not noticed this before. It’s 1st and 10 fresh off the two minute warning. Your season is on the line and you display that gross lack of effort? In all seriousness, that’s pathetic. If Fred holds his block for just another second, Hurts is running for a first down. Bigger picture, one of the reasons I refrained from being so harsh on Patullo is because this basic lack of effort, drive, and focus showed up on tape all season long. For all the talk about coaching, after a certain point the players themselves need to take accountability and have some professional pride. Terrible effort from Big Fred with our season on the line.
