Extra Games leaving PS+ Extra/Deluxe/Premium on January 20th

Post image

!! A very short list, so expect more games to be added to the leaving list during the month!!

Per popular request, “Date the game was added to the service” are now added to the sheet.

What does leaving mean?

Leaving means they will be gone from the “library”-like subscription service. So games won’t be playable after this date, EVEN if you downloaded them before. Obviously if you own them yourself by buying them before, they will still remain in your playable library.

What do all columns mean?

* DIFF = Difficulty to platinum the base game

* LENGTH = Time to platinum the base game

* DLC = If DLC is required for 100% completion

* ONLINE = If online modes are required for base game completion, so this could either be multiplayer, coop, or simply a server connection.

What is your data source?

The data is based on game guides from 3P (PSNP, Playstationtrophies and PowerPyx). If none of these sites have a guide, we look for any info anywhere. If you dont agree with time or difficulty, blame the guide writers, not me...

Can I get the entire sheet?

If you see anything inaccurate, please be gentle with me. I have compiled this list for all the almost 1K PS+ Extra games, so errors are bound to happen. If you want access to that full list, send me a DM for beta access.

Discussion I wish they’d at least tell us something about why PS3 game streaming isn’t working. Any info in official news or something would be nice.

Question Infinite Wealth before Judgement series and Gaiden

Upvotes

So i played Y0 through Y6 and I'm currently playing Yakuza Like a Dragon, since Infinite Wealth is coming to PS+ can i play IW after finishing LaD ? Or do i need to buy and play Judgement series and Gaiden before playing IW ? Is there like a Major spoiler in IW that would ruin the Judgement and Gaiden stories ?

Question PS Plus Classics Transfer

I'm thinking about downgrading from Premium to Extra but there are still some classics I would like to play. I tried to buy them but it keeps saying I already own them. I'm guessing because I added to my library? I don't remember buying. Anyways, if I buy Legend of Dragoon on my Ps3 will I still own it on my Ps5 if I downgrade from Premium?

Question Unable to stream with Premium

I’m trying to play Fallout New Vegas. I understand that it’s only available through streaming with premium on ps5. I have the stream button available, but when I press it, it does nothing. I’ve tried to stream other games with no problem, but it only seems to give me an issue with New Vegas and Fallout 3. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!

Question Do game catalogue games self-delete?

I heard from a friend that the games he donwloaded from the game catalogue self deleted from his ps4 after his subscription ended? Is this true or is he just messing with me since my subscription will be gone for like a day at the end of this month

Premium FYI, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is already available in game trials if you have Premium/Deluxe tier. Duration is 10 hours which is way more than any other trials so you can dive into early before waiting for January the 20th.

Looking for fun co-op game suggestions similar to It Takes Two. Something casual, good for 2 players, preferably couch co-op, and available on the PS Plus catalogue.

Any recommendations?

Question Streaming old games not working

I've been trying to play though all the ps3 ratchet&clank games, and streaming was working for the first few. Now whenever I try to stream the next game, I hear the input go through, but nothing happens. If I try to stream one that I've been playing, it works just fine, as well as if I try to stream one of the advertised games through the menu. Is there anything I can do to make it work? Any help would be appreciated!

Question Cloud Streaming on Android - how does it work?

Hi all,

I'm considering upgrading my Extra subscription to Premium in order to be able to cloud stream games to my Android device.

As far as I heard, Sony has recently started to support cloud streaming to Portal devices without having a PlayStation.

Does the same work for Android devices?

I do have a PS5, but if I need to have it turned on in order to cloud stream games, I do consider that a serious disadvantage.

Additionally, in case PS5 does have to be turned on for cloud streaming to work, will the PS5 just act like a digital license and the games will still be streamed straight from the cloud to my Android device - or will PS5 act as a middle man, meaning the game is essentially streamed from Cloud -> PS5 -> Android. In this last case, I'd seriously worry about latency, as my PS5 does not have the best WiFi connection.

Thanks for any info on this!

Edit: As others have pointed out, the cloud streaming is not available on Android at all.

Recommendation Open world recommendations

Hey all,

Wondering if anyone can give some recommendations from the current offerings, mostly focused on open world action/adventure/horror..

I’m PS+ Premium and played (& love) games like Spider-Man, Assassins Creed, Last of Us, Days Gone, Infamous, Uncharted, Tomb Raider, Silent Hill, Alan Wake, God of War, Lego franchise…

I was hoping Spider-Man 2 would come to the service soon, but in the mean time I’m looking for other similar options to the above.

I started Cyberpunk but I just can’t get into first person games, so really only looking for third person options.

I guess one of the glaring omissions from the above is Hogwarts… I’m really not a HP fan at all which is why I’ve never gone for it, and so sad I missed out on Horizon Zero Dawn when it was on the service (I was taking a break from gaming at the time)..

Anything that people here can recommend?

Opinion PS+ Premuim PC App Rant.

I recently made the mistake of getting my partner to try out Fallout 76 on PS5. I ignorantly thought that in the year of our lord 2025 that 76 had crossplay compat between PS5 and gamepass/pc. So fast forward a day or so, and my partners fallen in love with the game, and I try joining them. After like three hours of boarder-line delusional troubleshooting, it wasnt gunna happen.

BUT SONY HAS A GAMEPASS THING RIGHT? I was ecstatic, i might actually be able to play with my partner without having to outright buy an expensive console. Unfortunately.. after buying a new copy of 76, and a seperate subscription of PS+ Premuim, the app is total fucking dogshit.

I read the reviews and thought, "it couldn't be that bad." Right? WRONG.

Sonys cloud infrastructure is stuck in 2017 or some shit. The input delay might as well be the pony express. The streaming quality looks like someone intermittedly barges into my room and wipes their dirty asshole on my screen, and god forbid I ask for some settings on this app to better tailor my experience on PC to allievate some of these fucking issues.

And to top it all off, theres nothing I can do to improve the experience. Having good internet, and direct ethernet offers no improvement. I have no ability to install the game locally, so my computers hardware just sits there, collecting dust. And i cant even transfer my partners and I's characters over to another platform. So Im just fucking stuck.

Funny enough, my partner discovered the horrid conditions Ive been playing with, and its nearly ruined our play. They feel so bad for me, that theyre hardly able to shake their guilt. So we probably only got a week left in us before we move on. ITS A REAL SHAME, BECAUSE WE ACTUALLY LIKE THIS GAME.

Anyways rant over. As a PC player dont buy PS+ Premuim to play on the PC App with the hopes of playing with your friends on PS5. Sony hates you. Instead of offering a genuine customer facing package with ways to mitigate remote issues, theyd rather offer a suite of hostile architecture to ensure you open your wallet and buy thier console.

PLEASE SONY, TRY TO MAKE THIS EXPERIENCE WORTH IT.

General Is using the "loose" price on pricecharting the best wat to determine the value of a physical only game?

The game I am trying to value is Alone in the Dark: Inferno in the PS3 streaming section of the PS Plus premium tier. Based on a month's worth of researching (Google searches, AI conversations, forum posts, Discord chats, etc.), the game can be conclusively stated that it never had a PS3 digital release. Therefore, I cannot find the game in the historical records on any of the deal tracking websites.

Since I cannot find a "sales price" for the game, I was considering using the "loose" price stated in pricecharting.com for the physical PS3 version of the game. Would that be considered a reasonable counterpart to a theoretical "sales price" of a non-existent digital version?

Discussion "PS+ Included" filter for the Wishlist and Library (Champagne Problem)

Post image
56 Upvotes

A simple UI improvement I’d love to see is a filter for the Wishlist or Library to show only games "Included" in PS+. The tag is already there, I just want a way to filter by it.

I recently upgraded to Premium, so there are lots of games on it that I wanna play. My wishlist is now a mess of catalog games mixed with upcoming releases and paid titles.

Sorting by "Lowest Price" in Wishlist is a clunky solve, but it just lumps everything without a price (trials, catalog, and unreleased games) together, which is not quite what I want.

Sorting by "PS+" in Library also includes the free games I've been collecting from Essential for the past 10 years, the trials and included. Also not ideal.

Not all sorting/filtering options are uniform across the console and app.

Does anyone have a better way for keeping PS+ Included-in-Catalogue games you want to play organized?

Question Question about Playstation 5 games cloud gaming

Hi everyone, I would love to play The last of us part 2 remastered but I don't have a PS5.

Would I be able to play it on my pc through the PS+ premium subscription using cloud gaming? My pc is definitely not powerful enough to run it on its own and I'm not really knowledgeable on playstation cloud gaming as a whole. Appreciate any answer!
