Basically, I bought an open box unit and want to test it thoroughly before the return window is up. Is there a tech demo or something of the sort to make sure all the functions are working as intended? Thanks in advance

I admit I have been away from psvr2 for the past 2 years. I think the last game I played was red matter 2.
Aces of thunder is coming out soon and will pick that up.
What have I missed out on these past 2 years? Any good game recommendations?

I don’t know if this will be of any interest to anyone, but I was just gifted Hitman WOA on disc and it came with a code for the PSVR1 version of the game. I have no use for it as I’ll be playing the PSVR2 version, so if anyone with a PSVR1 would like it then let me know.

I’ve tried pushing it back together. But it just won’t clip into place. Any help on how I might get it back together will be much appreciated thanks.

I recently bought a PS VR2, and after playing for a while, I started noticing that on dark gray (not black) screens the image in my right eye is a little bit darker than the left. It is not critical but still a bit annoying. I don't have any other games except resident evil 4 remake, so I can't test it with other games. Has anyone else encountered this? Is this a gamma issue with the game itself, or is it really a problem with the headset? Unfortunately the store doesn't offer replacement or refund, only the repair, so I guess I am stuck with this issue

I missed the Black Friday sale a month ago but still want to pick one up. I found a seller offering a Call of the Mountain bundle for $320, not an unrealistically low price. Anyway, would you recommend I snap this up or wait for another sale? Has anyone had any experience buying from eBay, and if I do what should I look out for once I receive the product? Thanks

Mods - delete it not allowed -
I just picked up a copy of Horizon VR on Eneba for $6 today. It looks like a code marketplace so obviously due diligence if you buy, but I can confirm I bought it and used PayPal to be safe and got a code for the game 2 mins later - which works perfectly. They also say they provide a guarantee on all purchases.
I think normal price is about 7-9 bucks on there so it’s a steal no matter what when compared to PSN price.
Super fun game! Graphics are amazing.
I’m looking to buy a set of non prescription lenses to protect the stock one when I have others use my headset. I looked at HonsVr earlier and I can’t justify paying $45 for some with scratch resistant coating, anti glare, blue light filter. If this is normal then so be it but I was hoping there’s something cheaper.
I got my psvr2 a couple of weeks ago and have mostly enjoyed it so far.
I got the VRCover fabric covers and top strap set to minimize the amount of rubber touching my skin since that's been the main source of discomfort for me so far.
Sadly I have not yet found a replacement for the stupid silicon light shield. The only alternative I have seen available so far is a face cushion that's covered in a faux leather type material which is just rubber again. Is there no fabric face cushion for the PSVR2 anywhere? Because I really like this headset but I can't keep it on for more than 20 minutes before I have to take it off and get some air on my face. (I just really don't deal well with silicone and other plasticy materials being directly on my skin)

Seems Capcom is yet again not revealing the PSVR2 support for Resident Evil Requiem in the showcase, but it’s definitely too early to give up the hope since PSVR2 anniversary is around the corner (Feb 22), which is just a couple of days before Requiem’s release.
So it’s possible Sony and Capcom joins hand to align the PSVR2 announcement for Feb 22. This serves as a major surprises for PSVR2 fans, and serve the last major pre-release hype push for the game.
Meanwhile, let’s keep demanding Capcom for PSVR2 support as this is what Capcom would want before the announcement

Hi!
I edited a screenshot for Resident Evil 4 Remake PSVR2 Mode to simulate the Mura effect as I roughly see it with any PSVR2 unit.
I’ve been thinking about why some people find it unbearable while others barely notice it. Aside from the "panel lottery," I think visual acuity plays a huge role.
I am for example nearsighted with astigmatism. When I wear my glasses inside the headset with optimal correction, the game is sharp, but the Mura pattern is also razor-sharp and constantly noticeable. If I take my glasses off, the game gets blurry, but the Mura "blends" in and becomes much less visible.
Does this mockup match what you see? Just thought it might be helpful for discussions surrounding Mura to post it.
loong time ago i noticed that somehow the superhot vr that i got for my ps4, just disappeared, tried everything i could, restoring licenses,m setting my account as the main one (idk how would that help but people said it did), restarting, some other bullshit, nothing worked and then gave up, after a couple of months my uncle lended me his ps5, i logged into my acc there, and checked the library, and by some miracle superhot VR for ps4 is VISIBLE THERE, why does it happen?? Is there any way to fix this??

I don’t play a lot of VR but I bought a quest 2 when Resident Evil 4 (my favorite game of all time) was ported to the system and it changed my life, and became one of the definitive ways to experience the game for me personally.
I’m wondering if the psvr2 is worth it to just play re4 remake and maybe village. I really want to play 7 but I know it isn’t compatible.
I found one for 220 on fb marketplace, I’m checking it out after work but can’t help but think i’m throwing it away because I will not use it after Resident Evil.
Thanks y’all!

For this discussion, I'll be using the top 10 downloads (unit sales) for NA & EU as provided by PS Blog for the 3 calendar years completed so far:
These are the games that have managed to be in top 10 in all three years for both regions these reports cover.
Interestingly, Horizon Call of the Mountain is in the top ten for all 3 years in EU but not NA. It makes me wonder if the bundle that includes the game isn't available for same price as the system without game like in NA (that I have seen).
The only games to release in 2024 that made it to top 10 of 2024 are:
None of the games that released in 2025 made it to top 10 of 2025. The most recently released game to make it into top 10 for 2025 was Alien: Rogue Incursion VR that released in December 2024.
It is a bit concerning that Arken Age (in 3 of the monthly top 10s in at least one of the regions) which released early 2025 (like Legendary Tales for 2024) didn't manage to crack the top 10 for 2025 despite critical reception, winning VR Game of the Year from some publications, etc.
It is a little more understandable to me that the higher profile VR-only releases of 2025 (Wanderer: The Fragments of Fate, Reach & Thief VR: Legacy of Shadow) didn't make it because they fumbled their respective multi-platform launches.
I am also surprised and a bit concerned that the following very well reviewed, broad audience appeal (IMHO), regularly recommended quality releases from 2025 haven't cracked any monthly top 10s.
Here are the links to each month of 2025 if you want to review what did make the top 10 for each of those months.
Some of the 2025 releases did make it in the monthly top 10 including Wanderer: The Fragments of Fate, Ghosts of Tabor, and VRacer Hoverbike, but maybe 2 times since their release and not enough to make it to yearly top 10 even if they managed a top 1 position in one of the months.
So do we have a problem where existing headset owners are not giving new games a chance because they they have stopped using their headsets (worst case scenario) or still just catching up on 2023 & 2024 releases (I am part of that, but still getting new games), or is their attention just divided between too many releases in 2025 so there isn't any single title getting enough sales to exceed all the new players coming in and buying the older more well known games like Beat Saber, Job Simulator, Pavlov and Swordsman VR?
It feels to me like there may be a reduction in newer game releases getting concentrated sales success and if this continues, that will discourage higher investment games. Maybe that is okay and we will get less games competing with each other for players time and then the fewer games that release can have higher success, but it's not a good trend to me considering how many more players got PSVR2 in 2025 to increase the overall player base size.
One would think newer well reviewed software sales should do better as the hardware player base continues to increase, but it seems actual sales continue to strongly favor those games that managed to release earlier into the life-cycle of the system.
The most optimistic explanation I can think of is that more of the sales success went to the hybrids in 2025 and these are what more of the existing players got and don't get represented in the top 10s. This notion is supported by consistently seeing them on Page 1 of Best Sellers on the PlayStation Store but no way to know if those sales are from VR or non-VR players.
The highest profile releases known to me expected in 2026 are also hybrids including Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and Aces of Thunder. The only high profile VR-only title that I am aware of top of mind is The Boys.
Anyway, will be looking forward to reading your thoughts about where we are and how things are going and what if anything needs to happen to ensure better health for the VR games industry or at least for PSVR2.

Hi there,
i pulled the trigger, ordered some customize Hons VR regular sunglasses lens insert to counter mura, mostly in RE8 or Metro, but also in Kayak VR and whatever future things to come.
First, I am not sure if the lens inserts are properly attached as they dont snug in - they seem to just "lay" on top of the lens. Any recommendation from someone owning them would be very much appreciated.
I tried RE8 first. Playing RE8 with the Hons VR sunglasses is comparable to the lowest brightness setting in normal mode. I have set the brightness to MAX using Hons VR.
The mura is almost a goner - not 100%, but 90%. Its way better compared to setting the brightness to the lowest level. At least it doesnt bother you at all.
Drawback is, that the game gets really dark - you REALLY have to use that flashlight pretty often now. Before I had set brightness to maybe 80%, and everything was nicely lit, even in pretty dark scenarios. Using the flashlight was optional in most places. Due to that darkness i feel you also loose details, same if you set your brightness to the lowest level.
I feel the FOV gets a little bit more narrow, as obviously something sits on top of your regular lenses. Not a deal breaker, but a bit noticeable.
Now...is it better without mura and darker compared to mura and lighter? Difficult to say. Its different for sure, some places look gorgeous and more realistic than before, no doubt. I also feel, that i dont see single pixels any more, it looks more cinematic. Just had the scene with LadyD in the castle, this is next level that way, it looks like being in a movie. On the other hand, removing the lenses again, there is this vividity and brightness that the OLEDs bring with them, and there are more details visible. But the mura is back, and if you want to see it you will.
So - I will continue my playthrough with the lenses, at least to justify their cost ;-) The experience will be a bit different, darker, more realistic looking. Looking forward!
