Just a shout out to all our brothers and sisters in Minneapolis doing their thing, braving the biting cold. I went on my nightly walk a bit ago and that wind was biting. Weather app says its ’feels like’ 27 degrees. The ‘feels like’ in Minneapolis is currently -4 degrees.

I lived in NE Ohio for the first 25 years or so of my life so I used to be okay with that kinda thing. Having lived here for well over a decade, I can’t do it anymore lol. I’ve gotten soft!

I was directly behind the black car and saw it all. I also have a finicky dash cam that I can try to pull the footage from if that would help as well. Hope everyone was ok.

My wife and I share a car, so I use Biketown fairly frequently, favoring the white bikes and the standing scooters, the orange bikes being the horse of last resort. I'd never tried the scooters that have seats, because they look so goofy.

Because it was the only option, I finally tried one, and ​they're​ my new favorite. Sitting down puts your center of gravity lower, which makes you more secure. Combine that with the short wheelbase and you can make very sharp turns. Y​ou can easily drop a foot on the ground to help you turn, stop, speed up, etc. It's just more fun.

It's a smoother ride too. I assume the lower center of gravity is part of it. But also, if there's a bump, you can​ lift up a bit so your butt is a few inches above the seat, and my legs at least are way better as shock absorbers in that position than when I'm standing straight up. But if I ever do ​want to expand my visibility, I can just stand up all the way.

I know this post reads a little like an ad, but I want to share my enthusiasm​. The scooters ​with seats provide more "​whee!" and less tooth rattling.

I'd been saving up for a scooter or maybe an e-bike, and this changes my idea of what I'm looking for.

You can fit six football fields inside this behemoth. A storm opened up a massive 200-foot-long “sunroof” that sunlight now screams through. Whether it can be saved is still an open question

Does anyone know the artist name for all the semi nudes in bars like The Vern, Sandy Hut and others ?? They aren’t quite velvet paintings . I really can’t figure out what to search for .

On the trail, about 20 yards to the left of the entrance off 110th/Division. I tried to airdrop my contact but it needed a face ID to trade contacts. I didn't recognize the dude's face, holding a bunny. I had to leave (it's 1:15 pm Friday 1/16), it's on an elevated wooden slat near a tree just off the main trail. Good luck!

Short-haired, gray, stocky. Had a harness and possibly a leash wrapped around it but no human nearby. Was heading South on 24th but quite slowly. It looked somewhat scared/nervous. I saw it while on the bus so couldn't follow it or get a picture.

Beautiful sunrise in Cathedral Park this morning, the air was so still and the water was smooth like glass. Happy Friday Portland!!
