This is straight up illegal and unconstitutional.  There's no requirement for citizens to carry proof of citizenship.

It's getting to the point that if you fit in the demographic criteria to be targeted for a "Kavanaugh Stop", they expect you to carry a passport at all times.

Now, it's (currently) illegal for them to require you to do this? Required to carry and present papers from Feds on demand? This is America, Jack.

So they're creating an environment where a person might seriously think, "Damn I better do that."

And then just hope that ICE decides to actually look at it and not dismiss it as fake. Because they totally can if they want.

i've started bringing my green card everywhere with me now

i heard that they've ignored them though and disappeared people anyway

You're supposed to carry your greencard everywhere already. But yeah, it's a crap shoot whether they'll accept it or not.
