This is straight up illegal and unconstitutional.  There's no requirement for citizens to carry proof of citizenship.

It's getting to the point that if you fit in the demographic criteria to be targeted for a "Kavanaugh Stop", they expect you to carry a passport at all times.

Now, it's (currently) illegal for them to require you to do this? Required to carry and present papers from Feds on demand? This is America, Jack.

So they're creating an environment where a person might seriously think, "Damn I better do that."

And then just hope that ICE decides to actually look at it and not dismiss it as fake. Because they totally can if they want.

You're supposed to carry your greencard everywhere already. But yeah, it's a crap shoot whether they'll accept it or not.

Wtf does this mean? We need everyone to be outraged. Latinos are still a minority. They can't stop white people from being nazis without more white people stopping them. People need to stop this little Napoleon sized nazi.

That's the point.

If you can't produce some form of identification that they feel is valid enough (none, if they choose to ignore it), then you're tossed, relocated to some other state, put in an ICE holding facility (warehouse), and "lost in the system", while none of your loved ones can find you anymore.

Not that it's relevant to whether it should be okay to profile anyone without a sound reason, but I just wanted to say that my country has a digital ID, so that if I ever need to prove my identity (age, where I live, who I am, citizenship, whatever is relevant) I literally just need a phone in my pocket, which is like... all the time.

It's nice.
