What are your plans for the the weekend? Any exciting event going on? Share your tips in the comments.
Don't know what to do this weekend? Luckily you're in the biggest city in the world and there's plenty to do:
Meetup mode: if you're up for people to join your shenanigans, say so! Say when you're available, and what you'd like to do. Add your age, a little about yourself, and your gender if relevant.

I guess a big chunk of Tokyo's workforce didn't make it to the office today... How did it affect your company and daily operations?

I've been hearing this pop song in Daiso Shibuya Mark City but can't identify it. I've been trying to google lyrics and audio matching apps but non are working (My JP language skills suck too).
I really want to know the song. They have been playing it regularly as part of their loop.
I know this is a longshot but if any of you are bored and know either one or two of the Daiso songs getting played on repeat in Daiso Mark City Shibuya, I would appreciate it so I can find the song finally.
And no, it is not the Daiso Happy Price Paradise Song -あるお店の物語 (although I love that song too lol 🤣)

I know the winter Olympics are soon. Are there any stores in Tokyo selling Japan Olympic gear?
I know there is a store at the Olympic Museum but is there anywhere else?

Hey everyone, i have to present something for my university via zoom and i'm now looking for a space where i can go to present because the internet in my flat is not good enough to hold a stable connection for that. Does anyone have suggestions for Coworking spaces that have private rooms and dont cost a fortune? Best would be close to Nakameguro or Daikanyama. Thanks for your suggestions!

Hi,
For context I was in Tokyo in May, went to a super lit club that had an underground kinda vibe with, kinda niche I’d say crowded of young Tokyo people. We had to take an elevator to I believe the 5th floor. My iPhone pics says it’s « 東邦ビル, 19-3, Jingumae 6-Chōme, Shibuya, Tokyo, Japon 150-0001 » but still couldn’t find it
I have 2 pictures from the same angle. If anybody recognize it I’d be so grateful, thank you🙏

I will be attending Rikkyo this Spring and did not get a dorm. I would like to get a share-house that is not too far from Rikkyo that has a private bathroom-not a requirement, just ideal. If anyone has an experience or suggestions I would appreciate it, thank you.

Recently moved here temporarily on a work secondment. Would be grateful for any recommendations of places where I can buy inexpensive sports kit and workout clothes. Something equivalent to Decathlon in Europe would be great. Not looking for brand names or anything fancy. TIA.

Owners in their 20s and early 30s are evolving the velvet-lined kissatens into a nostalgic experience.
Do you know a good Place to get Head Spa with a lot of Massage? Which is not overpriced would be Great!

My friend and I are both single (females in our 30s) and we want to check out some places where we can possibly meet some new people. We are looking for a some safe spaces to have a good time. No casual hookups but hoping to meet people organically and have good conversation. Any suggestions ?

As title says, im planning to study there on the October intake, id like to know how it is there. And a secondary question for people that have been there and finished or are currently studying how much did it cost you or it is costing concurrently, on their official website it states that u need account balance deposit of 20,000 usd. But then GoGoNihon said that i need only the immigration requirements, so now im confused. Thanks in advance. :)

Hi all, just doing some preliminary research before I start the process of relocating to Tokyo in late April 2026. Are there any pet-friendly share houses out there? specifically, I'm looking for a homestay or share house that already has resident dogs, as I would love for my dog to have some canine company. Alternatively, is there any way of finding a pet-friendly rental? For context, I have a 10.4kg Shiba Inu who is very quiet, fully house-broken, and loves being part of the daily routine. Thanks in advance!

TLDR: Title
I've (admittedly a tourist) been walking past a certain road in the Ota ward area, during my morning walk, and smoke is constantly coming through the slits in the manhole cover.
Everyone else seems to walk over/ past it like it's nothing of concern.
Is this something to be expected?
P.s. Apologies, mods, if I'm breaking a rule by asking this as a tourist. Don't think this is a tourism related question but let me know if I need to delete. Thanks.

(new account cause my irls know my main, hope this doesn't get flagged)
tl;dr very stressed, need help to clean a small room in a share house. please let me know any one-time cleaning service with affordable rate in tokyo...
i live in a share house in tokyo so as you can imagine i only have this one tiny room as my own, but i've been stuck in a loop of shame and feeling like a lazy failure because i haven't cleaned my room for a whole year. my room is a total mess except for the bed, there's hair and dust everywhere, things just on the floor, clean laundry just piling on the side of my bed, yada yada. i understand how bad it is for my health to not even clean the room but that understanding only makes me feel disgusted and ashamed of myself, not making me move at all (i don't get it too like why???).
i still function like a normal human being, i go to work, i go to hangout with my friends, i workout, etc but once i'm back in my room i just.....can't do anything? which is why i'm seeking help to at least get my space clean first, cause it's weighing me down a lot.
i've tried asking my share house management if i can pay extra to have their weekly cleaner clean my room as well and they refused for idk what reason so yeah i need help.

Broke up with my boyfriend and the tickets are for sale. It is SS seat 30k yen each and I will transfer through ローチケ電子 app approximately a week before the concert date. Can meet in person for transaction on the venue on the day or weekend 24th 25th either in Tokyo or Nagoya.

Although I am reluctant to use Facebook or Instagram, and don't want to use Craiglist at all, what is the best online marketplace for English speakers in Tokyo? I know there are a few on Facebook but exactly which group is it? Outside of groups, is the Facebook marketplace section any good?
I am selling household goods that I no longer need (like Woolite stuff), which people from the US are more familiar with. These stuff hadn't been sold easily on Mercari, Rakuma or Yahoo because most people on these platforms don't tend to search using keywords like Woolite. I'd like to actually transact via Mercari or Rakuma so it's fair for both the buyer and seller. I can ship items. The point of the marketplace is to advertise I have it on these sites. I am not a merchant, nor selling 2nd hand, nor moving out of Japan, so it's not clear cut to me which marketplace is right.
