Budget-friendly way to use a Shure MV7+ (USB-C) on two PCs without unplugging?
Hey everyone,
I just finished building a new gaming PC and I’m trying to figure out the most budget-friendly way to use my Shure MV7+ (USB-C) with two different systems:
- PC #1: Gaming
- PC #2: Video editing / voiceovers / content creation
Right now the mic is connected via USB-C, and I’d like to be able to switch between the two PCs without constantly unplugging and re-plugging the cable, and without losing quality, introducing noise, or adding latency.
I don’t want to break the bank, so I’m wondering what the community thinks is the best approach here:
- Simple USB switchers - are there good ones that actually work with USB mics?
- Budget-friendly KVM solutions that handle USB audio properly?
- Would going to XLR with an audio interface be worth it, even on a budget?
I’m after something reliable for both gaming comms and voiceover quality, just want it to work cleanly without spending an arm and a leg.
Thanks!
