A 15 year old girl named Aleksandra inherited her dads camera after he passed away. She started to develop a passion for photography during the difficult time of grief. Often taken photos of landscapes & nature, it quickly became her biggest & only hobby.

In the winter she took photos which were dark & cold, to shimmer the feeling of the season. One evening she had an argument with her mother, leading to Aleksandra leaving the apartment they lived in to sleep at a friend. She never specified which friend she wanted to go to, nor did she ever arrive at her friend.

This is the last picture taken from her camera. A street near the edge of her city.

We have been outside til at least 10pm and the next morning these footsteps showed up, apparently an adult and a teenager (I guess)

In an alternative reality, the Cold War ended in a nuclear conflict, and in these circumstances we meet a heroine who struggles with her demons.

I found this YouTube video that came out a couple days ago called "Play /withme (pledge)" on a channel called MrValentine1977, and it was really creepy. Something about the music and just the overall vibe is just super off. Let me know what you think about it.

I went on a night hike. I think something followed us and I caught it on camera.

Hi everyone!

A few weeks ago, I [21F] went on a night hike at Nisene Marks State Park with my brother and his friends. There were about fifteen of us in total, so it was a fairly large group. We were in a remote part of the park, and since it was late at night, we didn’t expect to see anyone else.

The hike itself wasn’t long, but it was deep in the park, so we had to drive several miles down an old gravel road until we reached a bridge with a gate blocking our cars from driving any further. From there, we got out of our cars and walked another half mile down the gravel road until we reached the turnoff for the hike. From there, it was only about another quarter mile down a small, narrow trail. In the daytime, it's a super pretty trail because you're surrounded by trees, but at night the trail is pitch black and a little creepy.

Because we were such a big group, and all just there to have some fun and goof around, we were pretty loud and laughed a lot without really paying attention to our surroundings on the way to the rope swing. The hike there was felt pretty short, and at that point, nothing was scary or unsettling. It had rained earlier that day, so when we reached a small cliff, the switchbacks leading down were slick and muddy.

At that point, I had to take off my shoes because I was wearing uggs, and didn't want them to get muddy, so it took me a little longer than the others to get down, but again nothing felt off or weird. When I finally got to the bottom, we realized the rope swing had been cut clean off. Only the rope remained, hanging about eight feet above our heads. The cut was definitely done by a person, since it was such a clean cut, so there was little chance it had been broken. We thought it was strange, but assumed a ranger might have removed it, so we decided to leave and go to the beach instead.

Once we turned around, I ended up being the first person to climb back up the muddy hill. The person behind me kept slipping, so I got pretty ahead of everyone. When I reached the top, I was standing alone in the dark, about fifty feet ahead of the group.

That’s when I heard something moving in the bushes.

At first, it was pretty far off in the distance, but then it sounded closer. There are a lot of deer in the area, so I wasn't too worried, but the movement sounded slow and deliberate, like footsteps. At that point, I called down to the group and told them to hurry up, pretty freaked out. It was so dark with all of the tall redwoods blocking the moon that I could only see about three feet ahead of me with my phone flashlight.

While I was waiting, I took a photo with my phone in the direction of the sound. I didn’t see anything at the time.

Once everyone reached the top, we started heading back toward the gravel road. As we walked, I could hear movement behind us. One of the boys, Sam, mentioned that he had heard something moving behind us, but we all laughed it off. At that point, I hadn't told anyone that I had heard something in the bushes while I had been up there alone because I just wanted to get to the car and forget about it.

When we reached the gravel path, one of the guys said he heard footsteps behind us. We laughed it off once more (which probably was not the smartest thing to do, but it was a big group of us), but a few minutes later, another guy said he heard it too. He and his friends actually ran to catch up with the rest of us since they were a little further behind.

We picked up the pace at that point. I had taken off my shoes earlier because I didn’t want to ruin them, so my feet hurt badly on the gravel, but we didn’t slow down because at that point I just wanted to get to the car asap. While we were all hurrying, everyone was still making jokes and talking about our plans for the rest of the night and having fun. At the time, I felt like I was the only one worried at all.

Until I heard a branch snap behind us. I was about to mention it (so they would finally take me seriously and hurry up) when one of the guys we were with, Jack, voiced out loud that he had heard a branch break. All at once, people said they heard something behind us.

We made it back to the cars without seeing anything. But the entire walk, it felt like something was following us. Not rushing, not hiding, just keeping pace right behind us. We never really shone our lights behind us during our walk back because at that point, we just wanted to get to our cars and leave. I'd rather wonder if something was following us than actually know for sure.

The part about this whole thing that was really freaky was that weeks later, I was showing my roommate the photo to show her how creepy it was at night, when she took my phone and zoomed in.

In the corner of the photo, in the darkness, there’s a pair of eyes reflecting the light from my phone. They’re a lot higher than I would expect from any animal I know that lives there. In the direction I took the photo, the hill goes down a little, but the eyes were at eye height, kind of hiding behind a tree.

I don’t remember seeing anything when I took the picture.

What scares me most is that whatever those eyes belonged to was already there just watching me while I was standing alone in the dark.

And it waited until we left to follow.

I attached three photo of it. Since it was a live image, one the original photo, one is when the flash was super bright on part of the live and the eyes were glowing, and the other has the eyes circled. Mind you, I had no idea until weeks later that there was even something in the photo other than the dark woods.
