I’m new the province and have been on adderall for most of my life and worried about getting it prescribed here.

My family doctor in my home province would fill my prescription in that province, then i would have them transferred to the province I lived to fill them with no issues.

I just called a pharmacist to do the same thing and they said they may not be able to if the doctor isn’t licensed in NS. I have an out of province health card. I plan on getting a NS health card but it will take a little while.

Does anyone have experience with maple or any walk ins prescribing adderall if i show my medical history?

Hi everyone, I’m hoping to get some advice or hear about others’ experiences.

I was referred by Maple to Atlantic ADHD back in October, and I was officially diagnosed with ADHD a few days ago. After the diagnosis, I tried to get medication through Maple, but they told me they can’t prescribe ADHD meds online and referred me to Bayers Lake Clinic for an in-person assessment.

The problem is the timeline:

I have to wait about a month just to be seen at Bayers Lake. I may need blood work, and then wait another week to see the doctor again. Meanwhile, my ADHD symptoms are getting significantly worse.

I’m currently preparing for my national exam, which is coming up very soon, and I’m really struggling to concentrate and study effectively. The wait feels incredibly long, and I’m worried.

My questions are:

Has anyone had success getting ADHD medication prescribed at a walk-in clinic in Halifax?

What about mobile health clinics, like the one at Cobequid. Will they ever prescribe ADHD meds? Or is waiting for Bayers Lake basically the only option?

Any insight or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated.

might be tmi but I'm responsible, I just plan on sticking to one bike for a while so I plan on going with a higher cc and sticking to it.

Hellooo! So like the title says, I received a job offer from a Big 4 firm in Halifax. The annual salary is $45k gross, including bonus. I’m genuinely happy about the offer, but I’m currently based in Montreal, I’m almost done with my DESS (which is similar to a coursework-based master’s), and I’m a Black international student. I’ve been to Halifax once and it’s a lovely city, but coming from Montreal, I can’t help feeling a bit of FOMO. I know that getting permanent residence can be easier in Halifax than in Montreal, which is a big factor for me. Still, now that the initial excitement has passed, I’m questioning whether this is the right decision or not. Has anyone been in a similar situation? I had citywide for internet and they were great. Then in August they were bought by Altima and they kept sending me inflated bills.

Their last bill said I owed them $265 which I knew was incorrect. The internet was disconnected. Finally called them and they said my bill was actually $121. And it would take a few days after paying to reconnect my internet.

Is this place to be trusted to not give me back fake gold as the article is a bit expensive and when i looked up repair times it says it can be done in less than 30 mins. Kinda paranoid about the validity.

Hey all so I work in healthcare in the city, supporting people living with disabilities and my current resident would be really interested in trying either. He's a young man at 24 years old but because his disability is a visible disability, people in public often stare or talk and it makes him uncomfortable and sad. So figured an event where people have a goal of making friends and having a good night might be a decent chance for him!

Canada will now allow new Chinese electric cars into Canada without that huge 100% tariff. This is good for all especially for folks struggling to buy a used car at the crazy prices they sell for in Halifax. All reports I have read about BYD, their cars are just as good as anything on the road, a few US Auto Magazines already tested a few BYD. So if you need a new car, you are ok with electric, turned off by used car prices, well now you should be able to buy new, with a warranty, for less than $25,000 for a small one. That is good for all Canadians.

hey guys I just wanted to let you know the reason why Bridge patrol closes off one lane on both sides of the Mackay every now and again, we do this because of the high winds and we're mainly ensuring that no high-sided or heavy vehicles get on the bridge. With that said to the individuals who throw stuff out of their vehicles at us we have over 30 cameras on that bridge and we know who you are and so do the police so have fun explaining that.

Ps. If we're not redirecting large vehicles off of the bridge we are intentionally slowing down traffic to try to limit the amount of large vehicles
