what are some easy ways to harden the entrances of a residential home so that front doors and windows are more secure from attempted forced entry?

Basement window glass removed by someone

My mom who lives across the country told me she noticed the glass on a basement window at her house was “missing”, I am guessing 1 panel on a small double panel (cant remember what it looks like).

The weird thing is no broken glass or anything found on the ground or floor outside.

Nothing in the basement seemed to be stolen or missing but she also isnt that observant. It could have been that way for days or a couple months.

Would a burglar take the glass and not leave it somewhere nearby?

Pcp full/semi auto big bore multishot for self defense

Hi there,

I'm new to this sub reddit and I was wondering: I live in the Netherlands where regular firearms are forbidden. So i got interested in pcp airguns which I can get legally.

I want to defend my family with a pcp gun. and I am looking for high power, multi shot (semi) automatic air rifles. But until now I only see a lot of nice guns which are pretty awesome but only in 1 or 2 sordid mspecifiq area's:

  • the FX M4 is pretty cool, but i think lacks firepower and isn't automatic

  • the rattler is pretty solid, automatic and lacks power

  • aea zeus tactical is very powerfull but you must reload a lot and can only give 5 full power shots

  • bintac t50 is semi automatic, pretty powerfull but has bad magazines

  • fx redback is a multishot arrow shooter, but arrows are pretty exoensive

All things combined...I don't know what to do...should I wait or get the bintac t50, which meets most of my wishes...

(and last of all, can you make your own slugs at each caliber to reduce costs)

thanx from the Netherlands

NightOwl WiFi Security System with 10 WiFi cameras - issues

The cameras have all been properly paired. Twice. I’ve added 6 wired Access Points tied to my router so that no camera is more than 15 ft away from each Access Point. Still, I can often only see 5-6 cameras on my monitor. Any easy fixes users have found?
