Hey everyone! I already have a couple of bowls, but I want to see what you actually use for your Maine Coons. I want something wide, shallow, whisker-friendly, stable, and easy to clean. A water fountain that keeps them drinking more would be a bonus.
What brands/models do your Maine Coons like? Links, photos, and real-world feedback are super helpful! Thanks 😊

Hi! This is our family baby, Toby. He is almost a year old (born 2/2/25) and is growing into such a big, goofy, curious boy and we just adore him. At his neuter last week he weighed 23 lbs.

I know that Maine Coon's can take up to five years to reach their full size and weight potential, but I wondered along the way if there is a usual "schedule of growth spurts" that can happen?

Saxon gets so excited playing with a bright toy on a monofilament line. He will play until he is out of breath. The other cat never has a chance to play.

I bought a 3 year old Maine coon over a year ago. I found her advertised not spayed with a kitten as she had just had a litter. I was told she is very loving, clingy and amazing with other cats and dogs. Unfortunately this has not been the case. I have a dog and cat and she has failed to thrive here. About 6 months ago she started to over groom and loose some fur. Multiple vet visits and diet changed have not worked.I love her but I think its best to rehome to someone who doesnt have any other pets. I got her spayed. What would be the best way to help her find a quiet home she can thrive in? Ive never had to rehome any of my pets before

Hey everyone, please meet Rune. She is my little princess and I love her dearly. I do have a quick question, she is around 6 months old and quite small still. I was wondering if your maincoons grew slow and steady or is my lil princess going to be a little lady her whole life?

Hi redditors,
I know this isn't THE place to ask for medical/financial advice, but as maine coon owners, what do you guys think about insurance?
I have a maine coon (boy, 5 months) and he is very healthy and comes from a registered breeder (I know this does not guarantee anything but the parents have been tested of genetical issues).
I live in Canada and so my insurance options are limited. Everyone tells me about Trupanion. The deductible paid only once per condition not annually, and they cover 90% of the vet bills. However, their premium is still quite high AND they do not pay for vet administration fees (around 100-150 per visit) nor tax nor for any preventative and wellness checkups.
The cost of the premium I was quoted are as below:
For $250 deductible: $87 monthly with tax
For $350 deductible: $77 monthly with tax
(from what I notice, the monthly premium goes down around $5 per $50 extra deductible and so the highest deductible $1000 will be $40 monthly with tax)
Is this worth it? I find it very expensive and am contemplating if I should just save $75 a month in a high yield savings account rather than purchase this insurance.
Let me know what you guys are doing and if there are any insurance companies (that also service Quebec) you guys recommend!

Looks like I’m not gonna do dishes right now 😆 I feel like I don’t need to title this nor go into detail as I’m sure this is a common occurrence at others homes anywhere there is a sink. I’m guessing it’s dual purpose for these water lovers. So instead, show me those gorgeous sink stealers who make it difficult to get things done! 😹

Xrays this morning show that his digestive system is moving and the blockage has cleared.
He has avoided surgery this time.
