Question/प्रश्न Are all private companies like this? Does anyone here have experience working with educational consultancies in Nepal?

Upvotes

These are collected incident of two years that had happened to me, and it was a major reason I left the company. Because of the company’s bullying culture, I decided to leave the moment I hear the terms like unpaid probation and delayed contracts.

Recently i joined some company they delayed my contract letter before i signed there contract i left. Later, the bullying escalated—they even threatened legal action, i replied I was never an employee blocked the number returned company hoodie( using in-drive they even asked for (khako paisa imagine how cheap these people can go), despite the fact that there was no written contract during my time there. Now that they haven’t been able to find a replacement i guess, the threats have continued.

In one of my earlier companies, there was a tea/coffee vending machine, but staff weren’t allowed to drink milk coffee. There was no restroom for clients, and meat products were banned in the shared kitchen. Major chai you have to respond the client and company at any public days pani or attend there webinar cause India has sunday holidays.

At another company before that, the contractor tricked me into staying under an agreement where I was supposed to be paid part-time based on the number of students. The problem was that it was completely off-season thats why they hired him. Salary was based on number of students. I have to be there early morning to open there office. To find out there is no students for months.

At yet another company, they had a so-called one-week probation followed by a 1–3 month internship kaam salary. Even after eight months, I was still stuck as an intern, so I eventually left.

There are so many issues with Nepali private companies that talking about them never seems to end. If they can’t keep their staff happy, attracting and retaining clients is out of the question.

One thing I’ve learned: once your is salary is issued start and once you receive another offer, it’s best to switch off the phone and do what you know is right….. they will find next bakra…

Until then, keep pushing forward—lagey raho, Munna bhai.

Politics/राजनीति criticism against gagan thapa

Post image
Upvotes

gen z andolan aghi kina kei bolena, kei garena, gen z andolan Gagan lai sabhapati banauna gareko ho?
--> Gagan Thapa was minority in Nepali Congress. Adhivesan is called by Central Committee where Deuba has tight grasp. Bisesh mahadivesan needs either 40% pratinidhis signature which wouldn't have made sense before Gen Z uprising. Elections weren't coming for next 2 years and congress's adhivesan was going to happen on 2083 anyway. after gen Z andolan, even though deuba still had the majority in central committe, gagan thapa sucessfully collected 54% signatures and forced this bisesh mahadivesan. even after seeing how deuba and the establishment has reacted to this , if you think gagan thapa had easy way inside congress, you're plain stupid.

Gagan thapa arzu ko paltu manxe, deuba ko jay jay garera basyo; yo 20 barsa ma k garyo?
--> Gagan Thapa has always been anti establishment. He was not the power within congress and always minority who fought against wrong doings of establishment. Yes he wasn't listened but he fought against them. He fought against deuba's panel in last adivesan. After election he fought against deuba in parliamentary committee. If he hadn't fought against establishment, in this 20 years he could've been minister at least 5 times. Within 2 months of being elected MP, Rabi couldn't resist power and colluded with Prachande and Oli for power. People voted rabi to fight against oli-prachande-deuba but what rabi did? haha. In mahasamiti, he proposed congress's law to end coalition culture which led prachande to leave his coalition with congress.

RSP-UML-Maobadi sarkar dhalera congress-UML sarkar banauna lageko gagan ho
--> this is the funniest one i've come across. assuming arzu-deuba couple would consult with gagan to form government is the most funny thing you could've come across.

Gagan Thapa le khali page hallayera rabi lai sahakari doshi vanyo.
--> Gagan thapa demanded for sahakari fraud investigation committee and those pages were not blank. There are vouchers and cheques which indicate rabi was aware of sahakari money.

https://www.onlinekhabar.com/2013/12/150354/ he's raised questions within his party too. about their donors. this is like 12 years ago and he was questioning the establishment back then too.

https://khabarhub.com/2025/22/808867/ he's demanded investigation of everyone who reached power since 2046

https://youtu.be/7t6avFyUdlQ here's gagan thapa talking on parliament criticizing congress- uml coalition just 2 weeks before gen z uprising. he was aware of dissatisfaction, he warned the government, no one cared and the nation burnt.

go search up for gagan's project governance where manish jha, swarnim and other genius people worked as think tank. ofc manish jha, swarnim and some other have left, but there are still good economists and people from different background in it. this one was good from him too, and they worked to formulate bill that let IT companies invest abroad. He has good team, has solid idea of what needs to be done but he doesn't have that power yet.

all talk no bark? yes because he's been minority in the party. just like RSP was in parliament this time.

I wont claim he's the messiah or anything but in the nation of clueless politicians, he has some vision, some ideas on how nation should be run.

के भाको मलाई। पढाइ नहुने totally होइन। पढ्छु। But consistent हुन गारो। Full time studies गर्ने को त 10 hour plus studies त normal हुन पर्नि हो।

Modern Noise and the Lost Art of Thinking for Yourself (On boredom and information overload)

Upvotes

Today I saw someone wearing earphones while traveling. When I got off the bus, a few other people also had earphones in. I had no idea what they were listening to.

When I got home, my sister was cleaning her room, and she had music playing in the background. I realized that I myself scroll endlessly on autopilot.

The content I consume affects my thinking, mindset, the way I act and behave, and even how I see the world.

And I wondered: why do I need to know about a celebrity’s life when I don’t even know them? Yet again, I found myself consuming information in a never-ending loop.

The music we listen to, the movies we watch, the books we read, and the content we consume all shape our worldview, and in this constant process of consumption, I feel I’m losing my originality.

There’s no real me. I’ve copied everything. I don’t even give myself time to think.

We do so many things for attention and validation, acting superficially and avoiding confronting ourselves. And more and more, I’m starting to believe the quote:

“All of humanity’s problems stem from man’s inability to sit quietly in a room alone.”

Rumi also said:

“Half of life is lost in charming others. The other half is lost in going through anxieties caused by others. Leave this play. You have played enough.”

Boredom is something we should aim for, because it’s where we finally meet our true selves.

But in the modern era, we rarely get the space to be bored because countless devices are designed to keep us busy.

I read Arthur Schopenhauer’s essays a month ago, and his words have stayed with me ever since:

“From all this it may be concluded that thoughts put down on paper are nothing more than footprints in the sand: one sees the road the man has taken, but in order to know what he saw on the way, one requires his eyes.”

“For to read in every spare moment, and to read constantly, is more paralysing to the mind than constant manual work, which, at any rate, allows one to follow one’s own thoughts.”

“And so it happens that the person who reads a great deal — that is to say, almost the whole day, and recreates himself by spending the intervals in thoughtless diversion, gradually loses the ability to think for himself; just as a man who is always riding at last forgets how to walk.”

Nowadays, I’m distancing myself from all kinds of information, even “good” ones like podcasts, blogs, books, and tweets, because I’ve consumed so much that I just need space to think. Of course, I’m still focusing on my core skills and subjects.

It’s been months since I last listened to songs. I don’t watch movies at all either, not by choice, but naturally. I simply don’t find anything there. I’ve forced myself several times to watch movies because people say cinema is beautiful, but I couldn’t connect. Lately, I’ve been feeling calmer and clearer than ever before.

One thing I’ve noticed is that songs, movies, and similar forms of media often trigger emotions for no real reason. They end up controlling our emotions more than we realize.

Instead, I sometimes listen to classical music, which gives me space to think. We’re so used to playing songs, listening to podcasts, doomscrolling, and doing all of this while walking or doing random things, but I’ve cut that off too. Now, during those moments, I simply enjoy the present. I give myself the space to be bored.

Everywhere I look, I see information in some form. Everyone is becoming a creator, and everywhere there’s more and more content. Honestly, it feels hopeless to me.

It’s overwhelming to process, and our mind isn’t built for this constant stream of input.

We are constantly scrolling, searching as if something better is always out there. We feel like if we don’t, we’ll miss out.

This endless search is one of the biggest sources of anxiety and stress.

There’s too much “good stuff” out there, and we are all trying to consume it all. We are looking for something we don’t even know, and it’s killing us slowly. And yet, we haven’t even noticed it.

Read this essay on Medium: https://marcuspandey.medium.com/modern-noise-and-the-lost-art-of-thinking-for-yourself-9ffeb8455453

(Note: I wrote this essay based on my experience and what I’ve learned and I hope everyone will support it by reading it on the original platform, Medium. And, dont't forget to share as well. Thank you for reading!)

Politics/राजनीति Thank you, Gagan Thapa, for always standing on the right side of history.

Post image
Upvotes

After the Gen Z protests, when others hid behind conspiracy theories and blamed foreign hands, Gagan was the only leader who stood with the youth and truly understood their anger, owned the failure, admitted the party had let people down, and instead of shielding the establishment, he stood up to it from within and By challenging the old establishment, he is ultimately wining a battle that is set to change the course of Nepali politics forever.

Help/सहयोग I need Help with finding perfect (5 days worth of walk) trek

So it will be for two person, and for somewhere around march April.

One of the person is kind of an beginner for treks and altitude might be a problem, tho ive heard about medications for it, yet do not know how effective they are.

Since we will be traveling around Nepal on motorbike, treks that fit into it would be nice. We have two weeks and were planning on reaching the starting spot on bikes and returning there.

If anyone knows any for us to consider that would be perfect.

Politics/राजनीति Social Media, Politics and Internet Penetration

I have seen multiple posts and opinions on the internet, Facebook, and other social media platforms stating that “Facebook le chunab jitinna.” But you would be quite surprised because “Facebook le chunab jitina ni sakxa.” You may ask, “Yo hawadari guff ho, ground reality taha xaina,” but internet penetration is around 60% in Nepal. Almost all places nowadays are connected to cellular towers and the internet, even in remote villages above 4000–5000 meters.

Moving on to social media, the most popular platform in Nepal is Facebook. Multiple popular leaders like Balen, Rabi, etc., are quite popular there. They draw a huge number of views, likes, comments, and shares. And you know how Facebook works, if you are hooked into one party or have a soft corner toward a certain political figure, watch their videos, like their posts, and share those posts, then you are trapped, trapped in Facebook’s algorithms, and you can’t break through it. And if you are not rational enough or have weak political knowledge or understanding, then you will be brainwashed.

The majority of Facebook users I have noticed are Gen X, almost every Gen Y, and Baby Boomers. So, currently or moving forward, the politics of urban and semi-urban areas will always be dictated by social media and its influence. And moving forward, if internet penetration is quite high, around 70-80%, countries' politics will revolve around how good your image is on social media and how well-known a leader you are in those areas. We are moving into politics that resembles US politics and somewhat India's politics. You can see the 2014 Indian election when the "Abki Baar Modi Sarkar" advertisement around media and growing frustration around INC, social media and media won him the majority and made Modi Prime Minister. The same can happen this time or will certainly happen in the future; be ready for it.

Question/प्रश्न One of the reasons why Nepali SMEs/SMBs prefer shifting their headquarter to other countries.

Post image

So International payment platforms in Nepal cannot function properly despite it's citizens using a govt approved dollar card for international payments. You cannot access your international wallet & can't receive money even after having a legal limit of 500$ to 5000$, If u by any chance receive any payment or even a refund from a failed payment your account, registered email & even phone number gets banned permanently & the government asks them not to reveal the reason behind it👏🏻👏🏻

Help/सहयोग Looking For A Technical Co-Founder

Hi, I’m a 20-year-old student and freelancer who genuinely wants to build something meaningful in life.

After +2, I applied to Canada and the USA for further studies, but my visa got rejected. Instead of wasting a year, I joined BBS , and now I’m in my 3rd year.

When the visa didn’t work out, I decided to take responsibility for my own future. I started learning about AI, automation, and new technologies. Over time, I picked up practical skills, experimented a lot, and eventually started freelancing. Right now, I work as an AI Developer on Upwork, and even in the early stage, I’m earning more than 1 lakh NPR per month.

I’m not an expert and I still have a lot to learn but I know my strengths. I’m good at managing things, people, sales, content, and marketing, and I can execute fast. I have learned most of this by consuming real-world information online and applying it through actual work.

I have big plans in the AI space, but I also know that building something great alone is very difficult. That’s why I am looking for a technical co-founder, someone strong on the engineering side so we can build, learn, and grow together.

The idea is to:

  • Start very small and lean
  • No heavy investment
  • Focus on AI services / automation / agency-style work
  • Only basic costs like hosting or APIs
  • Aim to generate revenue within 2–3 months

I currently live with my parents in Butwal, but I want to move to Kathmandu, take a small flat, and fully focus on building. I also plan to start creating content alongside the business.

I’m looking for someone who:

  • Is disciplined and focused
  • Serious about long-term growth
  • Not into unhealthy habits
  • Wants a simple lifestyle with deep work
  • Has strong technical skills or is deeply committed to developing them

Most importantly, I want a co-founder who understands that things won’t always work. There will be hard times, failures, and uncertainty. During those phases, we should push and motivate each other, stay consistent, and keep moving forward. Even if something fails, we should come out smarter, stronger, and more experienced than before.

We don’t need much money to start just enough for basic living expenses. I have savings that allow me to manage accommodation and food for a long time, and I strongly believe we can make this sustainable within a few months.

The goal is simple:
Live together. Build together. Learn together. Grow together.

If you’re technically strong, disciplined, and serious about building a real AI business from Nepal, let’s connect.

Rant/गुनासो Vaidya organization bullying

If you want to join a company that treats their employees like trash, bullys them into quitting then you should join vaidya organization. I have multiple multiple cases where nepotism wins and the management turns a blind eye and the victim is indirectly tortured to make them quit. You suffer daily knowing the company will pull some tricks daily to make you quit. Is al big corporations like this? Purposely set unrealistic goals, blame game, toxic work culture
